On behalf of my technology illiterate mother:…read more My mom had Outdoor Living Solutions install a cedar privacy fence. The owner went above and beyond to address the concerns of my mom, who can be very particular in her concerns. The crew was polite, efficient, and they kept the work area tidy. Overall, the crew reflected the excellent customer service modeled by their owner. The workman ship was outstanding. There was a big gate needed for the back driveway that was going to be difficult for anyone to engineer. They installed it to the best of their ability, but the owner drove by and saw it and he wasn't satisfied with how it looked, so they re-engineered it so that it looked better while maintaining functionality, ALL FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE! This company was extremely competitive in their pricing. The customer service and quality of workmanship is top-notch. The high quality of character in an owner who would come back to correct a completed project because it didn't meet his criteria is simply unheard of. I would enthusiastically recommend this company to anyone.

My wood deck was on it's last leg and Rick Miller (owner) recommended a stamped concrete patio instead of replacing with another deck - I would never have thought of that option, but Rick had a vision that was perfect for my home. I've always wondered why decks and retaining walls were a bit pricey but after observing first-hand, I now understand - it's a lot of work (I included some pictures below to demonstrate the level of work involved) A special thanks to Tony and Mike for an awesome job on the retaining wall and stamped concrete patio, and also Mark and Mike for the lighting and railing etc!!! Thank you all for excellent work and for meeting all city codes - a professional job!

We purchased our home about 6 years ago and just discovered it was not sheathed in OSB wood or…read morewrapped in Tyvek, which apparently wasn't in the code back when it was built 13 years ago. So we had the home sheathed/wrapped. This left the new siding as needing to be sourced. I contacted Jon via AL and spoke with him directly. He is very kind and knowledgeable, and helps keeps the conversation light. After expressing my interest in insulated siding, he recommended a couple different options over the phone. He offered to pop by that day with some samples, which he did, and helped me see some differences in the product offerings. I let him know that there was a team coming in before the siding company, and they were going to remove the existing siding, then skin in OSB and wrap in Tyvek. After going back/forth on the color (thank you for your patience Jon!), we decided on a product and color, then contracted Jon to do the work. One stipulation was that he work with the other team in coordinating the scheduling around them, which he agreed to. His price was fair, given the fact that I selected the most expensive product out there, and the size of the home it was going on. I could not have asked for a better team to do the work. These men were seasoned professionals, and I was amazed on how quickly (with precision, mind you) everything went up. I am a stickler for uneven, or poorly cut trim, and I couldn't believe that I didn't have any objections to anything! They were always on time, and cleaned up the site at the end of each day they worked. Jon was always available for my calls, which was refreshing (at least to me...lol), and always delivered what was promised. In all, I was extremely satisfied with the work done, and would absolutely recommend Exterior Design Associates to anyone looking for this type of work.

I hired STL Windows and Doors to replace 28 storm windows on my home because they were highly…read morerated. I was told that the windows would be fully custom to fit my existing custom interior windows, however, the storm windows I received are not custom and do not line up with my existing interior windows (see photos below). Honestly, I just wanted this fixed as it degrades the look of our home and is not what I ordered. What the company will tell you: 1. They tried to remedy the situation, but the company they use is no longer making storm windows so there is nothing they can do. 2. They apologize if the windows are not aesthetically pleasing or do not meet my expectations (disregarding the fact that they are not what I ordered). 3. They pride themselves on customer service, their reputation, and their customer's satisfaction. What I will tell you: 1. When I alerted them to the issue, they said, "It is what it is." They also told me that the storm windows only came in a 50/50 split (and not custom). I contacted the supplier myself and confirmed that the windows are available to order in custom sizes. When I told the company this, they said that they had reached out to the supplier and since they were no longer making storm windows, there was nothing they could do. I asked if there were other solutions, such as contacting another supplier, but I never received an answer to that. They also claim that I didn't tell them of the issue until the job was complete, but I told the installer (who happens to be the owner's sister) at the beginning of day two and her fiancé (the salesman) came out at the beginning of day three to see what the issue was. The job was not completed until the end of day three. I did not correspond with the owner until I filed complaints and contacted a lawyer. 2. "Apologies" aside, I must now pay another company considerably more money to fix the issue caused by STL Windows and Doors. 3. Their actions do not align with priding themselves on customer service. To outline a few of the particulars (without going into too much detail): they've blamed the original salesperson who no longer works for the company, they lied about the windows not being available in custom sizes, they then blamed me after I found out that they are available in custom sizes, a window was installed broken and has not been fixed. Please SHARE this with family and friends to help them avoid losing money to false promises. Thank you!

We had Nations scheduled to drywall in a loft above a garage, and their estimate, scheduling, and communication were all great from the start. When they showed up it turned out that there was some miscommunication on the scope of the job, but it was 100% my fault on that front. Nations crew on-site were very understanding and said they would go ahead and get started and we would figure it out if we need to adjust he final price. I also added in a piece of patchwork in the living room from some overheard lighting that was completed the week prior. Nations knocked out the framing and drywall as well as the ceiling patchwork and did all of it within the ordinal deadline. In addition to the ceiling patch, they went above and beyond and took it upon themselves to fill in a small patch above the mantle where the election mis-cut the hole for the recessed media box. They didn't even mention the mantle patch they did for me, which told me they really just did it because they care about the customer, because they absolutely did not need to do that for me. Without a doubt I will be hiring these guys for my future projects, because I know it will be fair priced, done in a timely manner, and they clearly care about the work they complete.
