My wood deck was on it's last leg and Rick Miller (owner) recommended a stamped concrete patio instead of replacing with another deck - I would never have thought of that option, but Rick had a vision that was perfect for my home. I've always wondered why decks and retaining walls were a bit pricey but after observing first-hand, I now understand - it's a lot of work (I included some pictures below to demonstrate the level of work involved) A special thanks to Tony and Mike for an awesome job on the retaining wall and stamped concrete patio, and also Mark and Mike for the lighting and railing etc!!! We had Nations scheduled to drywall in a loft above a garage, and their estimate, scheduling, and communication were all great from the start. When they showed up it turned out that there was some miscommunication on the scope of the job, but it was 100% my fault on that front. Nations crew on-site were very understanding and said they would go ahead and get started and we would figure it out if we need to adjust he final price. I also added in a piece of patchwork in the living room from some overheard lighting that was completed the week prior. Nations knocked out the framing and drywall as well as the ceiling patchwork and did all of it within the ordinal deadline. In addition to the ceiling patch, they went above and beyond and took it upon themselves to fill in a small patch above the mantle where the election mis-cut the hole for the recessed media box. They didn't even mention the mantle patch they did for me, which told me they really just did it because they care about the customer, because they absolutely did not need to do that for me. Without a doubt I will be hiring these guys for my future projects, because I know it will be fair priced, done in a timely manner, and they clearly care about the work they complete.

My Experience with Upper Deck Roofing - A Cautionary Review…read more In April 2025, I hired Upper Deck Roofing after positive reviews and confirming they were a preferred Owens Corning contractor. I paid my deposit on 4/2. Shortly after they raised the price due to a measurement error, which I accepted. The first roof install occurred on 4/24--but I immediately noticed problems. They had improperly reinstalled my TruGuard gutter system by nailing it directly through the new shingles. Initially, Jake Calvert (owner) denied it. Only after I showed video proof did they acknowledge it. Owens Corning and TruGuard later confirmed in writing this method was improper and damaging. I was told it voided warranty coverage. Jake shifted blame, claiming a vague email was warning enough. A rep from their team admitted they should've told me to have the guards removed. After legal pressure, & refusing to sign a doc waiving consumer rights, a second full roof tear-off and new system install occurred on 5/28. The final roof looks good--but getting there involved months of denial, pressure, and emotional stress. This process cost me peace of mind, time off work, and trust. I'm sharing so others go in with eyes wide open. Video available. Proceed with caution.

So glad I chose Upper Deck Roofing and would recommend them to everyone.
