University Pizza Company (UPC) is hands-down the best pizza spot in Riverside!! Their pizzas are amazing--perfectly crispy crust, rich, flavorful sauce, and fresh, high-quality toppings. You can really taste the difference because they make all their dough and sauces from scratch, and it shows in every bite. But the real star? Their pizza bombs! These little doughy bites of heaven are packed with gooey cheese and delicious toppings, making them absolutely addictive. On top of the killer pizza to die for, pizza bombs that slay, and wings that murder, UPC has some of the coolest decor around. The place is decked out in classic horror movie vibes, with nods to legends like Dracula, Chucky, and Michael Myers. If you're a fan of old-school scary movies, you'll love the atmosphere here. Slasher Pizza was definitely worth checking out. The pies tasted great, and I was happy to see they used cupped pepperonis, which is always a plus. The pizza wasn't super crispy, but it also wasn't a floppy "slop jalop" either. It had a solid texture and held up well. Flavor wise, it was better than most of the pizzerias in the area, and the scary movie/horror aesthetic inside made the whole experience even more fun. The only downside is that the place is pretty small, so there's not a ton of room if you want to dine in, although they do have some outside seating. Hands down my new favorite pizza spot! The pizza here is full of flavor and tastes like authentic, handcrafted pizza--not your typical chain-store style like Domino's or Pizza Hut. You can really taste the difference. The decor is super cool too--lots of signed memorabilia from original actors that gives the place a unique and nostalgic vibe. The customer service was top-notch--friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The granddaughter was the cherry on top. She was the sweetest and friendliest server and as a bonus, they stay open until midnight, which is perfect for late-night cravings. Highly recommend! read more
