I came near closing and thr staff was still very nice and friendly. Ordered the fish sandwich with sauteed vegetables as a side. The vegetables side was actually much nicer than I expected, cooked with a but of balsamic vinegar so it had a tangy flavor which went well with the fish sandwich. The sandwich itself had fresh ingredients and came on a brioche type bun. I'll give them 2 stars as the food still is the same but the price has gotten ridiculous. They have changed the menu and raised the prices. I loved going here for their fish and chips. What used to cost less than 10 dollars for lunch for a single (large) piece of fish and a bowl of fries, now was over 17 for 4 small pieces, which I am sure did not equal the same amount of fish as the 1 piece you used to get and quite a lot fewer fries. Seventeen dollars for lunch is too much for my lunch budget. I won't be back. I'm not sure why places like this have to continually 'change' and 'rebrand' just to sneak in prices hikes. They have a lot of different choice on their menu, so we did spend couple minutes to read through and decide what we want to try. I know. I know! Yelp told me to have the lobster roll and I ignored the advice to go with the shrimp roll, but to be fair I really love shrimp. And Slapfish does a really good job on crispy shrimp. Was the roll perfect? No. It definitely could have used additional sauce or something to smooth out the just shrimp and buttered bread (coleslaw? Maybe... I'll try that next time). That said, the shrimp were sooo good. A little more batter than I'd like, but the batter was pretty tasty and crisp (I eventually just ate the batter separately). The shrimp inside were delicate and delicious. The fries were also pretty good. With all that, this was definitely a good choice. It's not really a sit down restaurant and is pretty loud, but the food is worth stopping in for if you need a semi-quick bite. read more

I'm on this now but can I arrange a way to refund you ASAP. And invite you back for a meal on me ? I was pleasantly surprised by his genuine response. There are so many great reviews for Slapfish, but it was such a let down. We walked in and we're not greeted by any nice employees. The tables and seats were ALL sticky, full of trash, and outright disgusting. The floor looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. We were excited to try this place out because their pictures looked good and reviews were pretty great. Honest opinion is that this place is not close to worth the money charged and spent. The lobster was cold, the crab meat was cold, and the clam chowder soup was flavorless. We spent $25 on a lobster roll (market price) and, frankly, it was like they went to Kroger's seafood market and purchased it from there. It was gross and bland. Slapfish is a modern take on seafood. They offer tacos, bowls, burritos, burgers and even grilled cheese. I have tried the Ultimate Fish Taco, Clobster Grilled Cheese, Chowder Fries and Lobster Taquitos. I have to say the fish taco is my favorite! I prefer it grilled and it's so good! It's huge and very filling. I wasn't a fan of the fries. I guess I'm not a soup and fry person. The prices are moderate. This location is usually always busy. The staff is friendly and helpful. Still excellent seafood for the price! But had a few disappointing service experiences that don't seem to be isolated and frankly no longer outweigh the awesome food! Note, we are late diners! On all of these occasions we got there 20-30 mins before closing, so maybe patience was thinned by then? On one occasion they were visibly irritated when I asked for no tortillas due to dietary restrictions. On another there was a loud discussion about our "obnoxious" order with the cooks. Used to be my favorite place for fish n chips. Not sure where I'm going to go now but certainly not here. The portion sizes have gone down considerably. The employee told me they used to be 2 4oz portions for the double fish n chips and now they're 3 2oz. It really didn't feel like 2/3 the amount of food. I could get full on the single portion before and the double left me wanting. Also a skimpy amount of fries. We used to throw some away but now we left hungry still. Not even kidding. We went to chic fil a afterwards. The quality was more greasy, the $8 clam chowder was tiny and we got some Cole slaw and two random whole peppers as sides with the fish n chips. Like what the heck? If you are going to get Covid, this is the place!! it was so dirty, I had to ask to have a table cleaned and then it was briefly wiped down with a dirty towel, Out door tables were worse. I had to get hand sanitizer and napkins and do it my self, then was afraid to touch anything, floors were gross with food from others who were long gone, employees not friendly, they were serving & handing things to customers without gloves. It was not busy so there is no excuse to not clean up the place. Food was ok, but fish was over cooked , over priced and unappetizing after the looks of the place. I truly do love all things seafood. I have waited for so long to finally try this place, and I'm glad I did-twice in one weekend. First I tried the Globster (lobster grilled cheese sandwich) and even though it was. $15~ sandwich, I was not disappointed! The lobster it definitely present, unlike a lot of seafood dishes where it could be skimped on easily, that's not the case here. The lobster to cheese goodness ratio was perfect, and I'm glad that the bread wasn't that really thick bread that overpowers the contents of the sandwich. It came with fries that are seasoned perfectly. The second time I came, I had the fish burrito. Again, it did not disappoint! There might have been slightly too much rice inside, but otherwise, it was great! I love the sauce that was used and the shrimp was grilled to perfection. This came with tortilla chips that had been seasoned slightly and were easily believe to be made in-house. I first came on a Friday at 3-ish and it was pretty quick service and not very busy-maybe 8 others inside. When we came on Saturday night though, it was packed! The wait was still not bad considering, but I'd definitely suggest coming at a less peak-hours time because the line gets super long. They also play a great xm station of music that has songs from Bright Eyes, The Killers, and a lot of other low-key artists. read more

Me and my wife would like to express our disappointment in the experience we had eating the food from the 3320 N Digital Drive in Lehi Utah location. My wife ordered the Dagwood and I ordered the crispy fish and chips. When we arrived home to eat, my fish was soggy and all breaded with very little meat. My wives fish was the same. In fact, the little fish she had in between the breaded was "chewy" she said. So not sure if it was cooked all the way through. We live maybe 15 minutes from this location so in that amount of time, I don't see the food sitting too long to get soggy. We were excited to eat here again because our first experience was awesome. But, it was at the Park City location. Not sure if it was the cook this day, the location, or someone else just having a bad day. Not sure if we ll be back... This was on 7/30/2019 around 3:00pm.
