Disappointing. The food has declined in taste and quality. Our experience was with the less tasty clobster grilled cheese, which should have been better for $17. The ahi tuna was bland and tasteless and its salad not fresh, which should have been better for $15. Service was OK. The rebranded ambience now features a blue and orange theme that seems to clash, not as inviting as the prior coloration. I won't be seeking this restaurant again. read more

Everything I have tried at Slapfish in the few visits so far has been a winner. We My wife and i want to try the entire menu! Most recently, we tried the Lobster Taquitos and they were delectable! We also ate the Surf n Turf Burger and the Clobster Grilled Cheese. These dishes taste as good as they look! If you had to go with one or the other, definitely get the Surf n Turf Burger! Oh my gosh the fish tacos. So freaking amazing. The slaw stuff they put on top is the perfect combination of flavors to be paired with the fish. My family doesn't love fish so I don't get to eat hear often but I definitely crave it all the time. As its name suggests, it consists of mozzarella cheese, mayo, and a mixture of crab and lobster on thick, toasted bread with a tangy sauce, served with a side of crispy fries. Just a happy marriage of gooey, flavorful, crispy, hot goodness. Pair it with a side of chowder fries and a Mexican Coke and you'll waddle home happy. Fish is always a dangerous proposition in such a landlocked state as Utah, but my husband's fish and chips was really excellent. We now know where to go if we're really just jonesin' for seafood and want to know it'll be worth our time and money. It is expensive for a fast-casual concept (at least $15 a person) so probably won't ever become a daily occurrence, but I felt the cost-to-quality ratio was reasonable. read more

I decided to go because of a Tik Tok video, but sadly I felt like it wasn't nearly as big nor filled as the one I saw. The CHOWDER FRIES THO?!?! They were I would definitely go there again just for them! It cost over $20 for everything. While it tasted okay, I don't think the amount nor quality of food is worth it. This isn't your typical fast food seafood. Slapfish provides QUALITY seafood that you can tell is the real deal.The prices are a bit high, but at least they match up to the quality of food you're getting. I ordered the lobster roll which was basically some bread with lobster on the inside. It was delicious and filled to the brim with lobster, but almost a little dry. It was missing something, but I don't know for sure what it was. Fries on the side were yummy, and the sauces they gave us were alright too. The lobster taquitos (that I got for free from checking in on Yelp) were just okay. Definitely my least favorite part of my meal. The inside of the restaurant was nice! They had interesting art on the walls and fun graphics that explained the benefits of eating seafood and different kinds of fish. One of the walls is completely wooden and adds a nice accent. Slapfish also serves Boylan sodas which are all amazing! I normally don't get sodas, but I tried sips of all their options. My favorites were the cream soda, lemon lime, and black cherry. The customer service was INCREDIBLE. There was a teenager/young adult who was very professional, polite, and pleasant (nice alliteration). I wish I would have gotten his name because he was so great. They also have their classics, like fish & cups or a lobster roll ($$), and some decent sides. I've been here (at this specific location) about 3-4 times, and each time it has just been ok. My wife really likes it here, but I'm lukewarm on it. The food is fine, the service is fine too, but it's hit and miss with the temperature of the food, the cleanliness of the tables and chairs. We had the shrimp burrito with fries this time around and the shrimp was great, the burrito was fine, the spinach in the burrito wasn't tht good, the fries were between tepid and cold, and the service of the burrito, cut in half and covered in sauce, didn't make it the easiest to eat. My nephew had been telling me he wished he could find good fish and chips in Utah so I brought him here. He said it ranks up there with the best, and not just in Utah. :) And the service we received today was super top notch. Great experience and good! I have loved everything I have tried here! The employees are super nice, and you don't have to wait too long for your food. The lobster taquitos were so crispy and delicious. I've sworn this place off once before but keep having hope for it. This "large" bowl is mostly just fluff with small chewy/burnt pieces of assorted fish. Pretty much inedible. Never again, especially for the price. Also don't recommend the special default fish Hopi unless you like it super fishy. My husband claimed for years that he didn't like seafood. His friend made him try the Surf N Turf months ago and he is addicted! The real sugar sodas are delicious and a nice change from the usual sodas. Black Cherry is my fave! Everytime we dine in I'm reminded how much I hate their child size chairs. I went to the gym this morning and decided to treat myself and eat REAL GOOD! I ordered the lobster roll and boy was it damn good! There's a ton of lobster meat in eat bite you take! Oh and the best part of it, the meat is claw meat! (Faints). The second best part of this roll is the extra buttered bread (faints again). But with all that buttery goodness comes with a soggy bread. The bread was crunchy til the last little bites, which I just swallowed before it became soft. This is definitely worth trying. Market price today was $25.00. The sandwich comes with plain fries, but for only $3.00, you can upgrade them to the chowder fries. The chowder fries are a different story. It's just ok to me especially after devouring the lobster roll. There's bacon on top which may be the only highlight of the dish. The service is also super fast! After I bought my drink, sat down and checked into yelp, BOOM! My food magically appears. I wish there was one closer to Salt Lake, but it's an excuse to go SHOPPING at the traverse outlets! I was ecstatic to try Slapfish after discovering the new location in Lehi. But after my experience here, I feel like the restaurant is too hyped up. My friend and I had high expectations of this place after seeing the amazing ratings on Yelp and Google. After waiting in line for a bit, a cashier called us over to order. After saying our order, he blankly looked at us then looked back at his register. Since he was probably new, we forgive him and moved to the next register. We ordered the lobster roll and clam chowder. As another Yelper had mentioned, $25 for a half-sized toast portion of lobster roll was definitely not worth it. For that price, I would've expected the portion to be bigger or at least taste a bit better than just the buttery, greasy roll. As for the clam chowder, it was delicious and had many bits of clam in it, but I found the huge chunks of potatoes to be unappetizing. Overall, I'm disappointed in my experience here.
