I had just explained to my son the importance of arriving early because arriving on time makes you late(he wondered why we left the hotel early though we were only a couple of blocks away from McDonalds.) The unmarked bus was parked across the street in front of the Paramount building. We were in line for a different tour who was parked in front McDonalds who informed us that we were in line for the wrong tour and pointed to the unmarked bus. We still arrived on time. I then explained to my son that situations like this is why you arrive early. I had a ton of missed calls and was contacted by email but a sign of some sort would've helped(a magnetic sign on the driver and passenger doors, or a foldable sign that can be transported on the bus) as I noticed the bus from across the street(the same side as Applebees and Ellen's Stardust Diner) but had no way of identifying it.

When I was looking for a winery tour, it seemed like some provided transportation, some provide access to the winery and some provide lunch, but North East Winds provided EVERYTHING, which was a lifesaver because I really didn't have much time to spend on planning. I've been to wine tours in Napa, Sonoma, France, South Africa, and more, let me tell you that this rivals them all. I didn't realize NY had good wine. lol The entire team was friendly and warm. They clearly cared about us having a good time. Also, met some incredible people on the tour that I plan to keep in touch with. If you are on the fence, it's a no-brainer. Amazing good time!!

The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about the experience. I also felt safe because there was not any overcrowding of the tour. As the tour progressed we got to mingle with other customers. It was definitely a good vibe all day! I would recommend anyone in the area or traveling to NY to signup for one of their tours because it is worth every penny.

He was as funny and informative as they come, detailing dates, places, people, and events all from an authentic Brooklyn POV. He had us laughing to the point of tears, salivating with the descriptions of the pizza we would soon ingest and astonished with some of the real-life facts he drops as you pass by Brooklyn's most notorious and iconic neighborhoods. You get shown clips from movies and television shows that have shot all over Brooklyn as you drive by the locations. The tour stops off in DUMBO, Bensonhurst and Coney Island before completing the loop back in Manhattan, so you definitely are exposed to a whole hell of a lot of New York in 4ish hours. You can also voluntarily choose to stay in Coney Island and not go back to the city, which is an awesome option to have if you want to play tourist or just ride some roller coasters after stuffing yourself full of pie! As a film/pizza enthusiast, this was literally one of the best days of my life, enhanced only by the company of my friends and the spectacular narration of Marc. This tour is definitely the best tour I've ever been on. It was equal parts hilarious and informative, with just enough wackiness and kitsch from Marc to make the whole experience truly unforgettable. I'll definitely be bringing friends and family on the tour in the future and am very interested in the other tours now as a result!

From a Native NYer's POV--…read more It's been cold in NY! And it just so happens that my cousins have birthdays the first week of December. In order to make their day special, I wanted to take them on a tour of New York City. As a local, I would normally do a walking tour, but when the temperatures hit below, freezing, my Floridian cousins could not handle the cold. OK, I admit it. I couldn't handle it well either. So I was looking for an experience that would give me the tour. I wanted to share with them, but better than a hop on hop off bus. That's when I found The Ride! Honestly, the experience was exceptional! You get on the bus and you sit sideways to see the incredible cityscape of New York around you. We went around Times Square, radio city, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park, and the very bottom of Central Park. When you experience The Ride, you have two tour guides on the bus who tell you some facts about the city in a very funny and interesting way. The bus itself also gives you facts, because "The Ride" bus also has a personality of its own. My cousins had no idea we were doing this, and they absolutely loved it . Because it was called the holiday ride, we also saw some surprises along the way, including dancers, actors, and Freestyle rappers! It really made it feel like a true New York City Disney World attraction. You also can't control what you see on the street, so sometimes people wave at you just to wave and sometimes people make interesting gestures at you lol . Overall, as far as tourism goes for New York City , 10/10, 5 stars, and that's coming from a local born and raised. This was an awesome experience to bring my family to.

One of the street performers was a fantastic singer, but the rest were honestly a waste of time -- poor singing and awkward acting. It's far too expensive for what you get. That said, if you're celebrating a special occasion, it might be worth considering. They went out of their way to make a woman celebrating her birthday feel special, with repeated shoutouts from the performers.

The tour began at 11 am near Central Park and took us to many sites. We stopped and had plenty of time for pics. The tour guide was great about taking pics so we didn't have to selfie at every stop. The tour ended with a boat trip to the bay by the Statue of Liberty which provided great views (go stand on the bow for best pics and experience.) If you want an overview of the city with comfort, this is a great choice. Then you can plan what to do the rest of the trip. (We stayed at Marriott Times Square, saw Hamilton, filming of Stephen Colbert, 9/11 Museum, walked Central Park, 5th Avenue) and ate great food.

I emailed again yesterday and today and radio silence. Do NOT use this company for ANYTHING: This was a completely miserable experience. First the bus was an hour late. Communication on lateness was poorly communicated and there was no offer of any compensation. There was very little tour info provided on the landmarks. The tea was served with no sugar or milk. Some of us hate tea without either so it was a miserable experience because none of the tea tasted good. I can't stand tea without sugar so I might as well have been given plain hot water. We were given no cutlery at all for our food. Which came with items were cutlery was obviously needed. The server seemed confused about being asked to provide cutlery and demanded to know what specifically I needed as if it wasn't super obvious everyone on the bus would need at least a knife to butter their scones. For how much this experience cost, I'm completely floored at the subpar service, the lateness, lack of basic necessities for tea or even to eat the food presented. I think my friend and I deserve a full refund on what was a completely awful experience that was NOT as advertised.
