We had a terrible experience with Skyline. First their estimator measured our windows incorrectly, so when the installers arrived, the parts were the wrong size and we had to wait for months for new parts. Then when the installers came back supposedly with the right parts, they couldn't be installed properly and now we're left with one window that won't stay closed and wobbles around in the frame, and other windows that are difficult to open and close. We're going to let our superintendent know about our experience in case others in our building ask him about Skyline. read more

I've had a terrible experience with Skyline Windows and want to make sure others don't have the same negative experience. We started working with Skyline in June 2024 to replace the window in my daughter's room, and to add some screens to other rooms. They took measurements then, had us pay them, but then took an extremely long time to schedule the install. They ultimately came in mid September. The team arrived and didn't bring the proper materials to fully update my daughter's window. They only updated the glass, leaving the old rubber gasket around it, which isn't fully ceiling the glass allowing air in and affecting the temperature of the room and humidity. They didn't bring the correct size screen for the other room despite taking measurements. The screens aren't effective in the rooms they did install in. Since the install, I notice occasional bugs way more often. They also made a mess in install day, damaging our radiator covers (they offered to reimburse, but now we also have to go through the trouble of finding someone to do those repairs). They still have not scheduled the remaining work with us, it's mid October, and we paid them in June. Avoid them at all costs. read more

I would avoid at all cost, this is an incredibly poorly run company that will charge you a fee that they explain will go towards the repair of the windows and then you won't hear from them. Ever. We had someone come to our apartment for approximately 5 minutes, tell my husband something vague about how he can repair the parts of the window and we should get a quote soon. 2 weeks go by, no quote. After calling the company mutiple times, I finally get someone who says it should be emailed to me "soon". Another week and a half go by without any information. I finally get ahold of the company again and I am told that they cannot fix my windows because they are too old. They cannot refund the $200 despite the fact that they cannot fix my windows. However, when I approved of the charge there was NO mention of the possibility that they wouldn't be able to fix and would still keep the fee as the fee was going towards the total cost of the windows. I was told they have fixed the windows in my building before by my building management so I am unclear why they cannot fix my identical windows. Please beware this may be a scam. read more

Skyline has always been the premier window company in NYC. They set the bar. They installed our windows 30 years ago, and are as still good as new. The few repairs we have needed due to age have been expertly done. Customer service, technicians and follow up is unmatched. Last month we needed new window locks, the technician was polite and neat, but best of all he did all extras to make sure all the windows were working properly and working like new. read more

30 years ago a gut renovation with these windows. One is clearly defected and corroded. They have no warranty that covers a window. Most of the other windows the chains broke and cannot open them. Who thinks about this? Awful would never use those windows again. read more

I just had the double pane glass in a tilt and turn window replaced after 20 plus years. The process was very smooth with every step being done when and as promised. The office was very helpful, pleasant, and easy to deal with about scheduling and when a change of installation dates was necessary. The installation team was excellent as well. They showed up when promised. Took great care with everything surrounding the window and cleaned up completely when finished. The lead installer was outstanding. As an architect of many years, I found it a pleasure to watch him work. Calm, assured, careful, and in complete control. I don't know about other firms, but Skyline deserves its superior reputation. read more

Don't use Skyline, I am having the worst experience with them. I am gut renovating my apartment and signed a contract with them months ahead to change all my windows. The worst company. Skyline replaced my windows, and when one broke it was nearly impossible to get it fixed. The window was wide open and would not close. It took multiple phone calls over several days before someone finally came to look at it. Then it was several more days before Skyline fixed the window. After this expensive repair, the window broke again. It will not close, and now it's winter. Getting Skyline to repair a window is worse than pulling teeth. The service is so terrible that I strongly recommend against using this company. read more

I am a tenant in a rental building and did not make the decision to hire these hacks to do window replacement but have suffered a great deal because of their recklessness and incompetence. Let anyone contracting with this company know that they treat your apartment like a garbage dump, scuff your walls and blinds, misalign your shades when reinstalling them, dent and scratch your walls, scratch your counters, damage appliances, and are rude and disrespectful on top of that. I contracted with Skyline to deliver windows for an enclosed terrace. I was entirely renovating an apartment that I just purchased. It was a very expensive job. At the time of contract, I advised that time was of the essence given the fact that I was carrying the maintenance for two apartment. Skyline was almost 2 months late in completing the job. In addition, the installing workers were so surly to my contractor that they almost wound up in a fist fight. Be aware that if you contract with Skyline, you will not receive good service or timely delivery. The delay cost me many months of carrying two apartments and delays for my contractor in completing the job. read more

Skyline is the best. My project manager, Bobby, was a total rock star. Incredibly responsive, helpful and very pleasant to work with. I was actually out of town when the work was done. When I got home, you would never have known construction was done in my apartment. Everything was very clean and the windows looked amazing. Couldn't be happier with the level of service and product quality from start to finish. For those of you who had a negative experience, I'm sorry that it was not more positive. Skyline is the worst! I put in all new windows in my apartment and they are a terrible company to deal with. The over all sales process was dismal. Terrible communication and they didn't explain all of the options or choices that you can get on each window. I would like to know that I have choices on finishes and they didn't even offer that up. During installation I had tons of problems and to try and get Skyline back out to fix the issues has been a chore. Their service department/procedure is a nightmare! I've paid in full - over 800.00 - and they haven't even completed the work. They sent a service repair man out with the wrong weather stripping. Yes, you heard me 800 dollars to replace weather stripping on one window and they can't even get that right. It's been 4 months to get one item fixed. I do not recommend using this company. It was very expensive to put in all new windows and the level of service you get is embarrassing. read more
