This was my first time going to this restaurant. It had been on my list to stop by so I checked it out yesterday and I don't have any regrets. Been going to this place for years with my family. Decided to drop a great review. Skyline Restaurant always had a nice homey atmosphere. Spacious dining areas. Always families eating and enjoying themselves. Our waitress named was Jamie. She was a sweetheart. Very attentive and a very sweet spirit. We ordered the Belgian waffle with the side of eggs and the country fried steak. Everything was amazing as USUAL! Check em out! read more

Small family owned business that has been here forever. Basic run of the mill breakfast items...omelettes, skillets, pancakes, etc. The service was good and the people were very nice. The complaint I have is the food needs some attention. I ordered a skillet with over easy eggs with an extra side order of bacon and the whole meal came out of the kitchen about as fast as I ordered it. From my experience traveling and eating in restaurants...when the food is lightning quick out of the kitchen...This can be good and bad when this happens...more often than not...it is not good...kind of like in this case. When my food came to the table, I took my first bite and the peppers and onions in my skillet were undercooked and still raw...my side order of bacon was almost room temperature as if it was cooked hours ago and kept in a bin in the kitchen. Not putting this one back in rotation any time soon. read more

After a long absence I returned to Skyline Restaurant a couple of days ago, late morning on a weekday. Good experience at this diner. Friendly people at the cashier's desk (this was not always true in the past), got seated quickly and served very efficiently. Good, hot coffee and the menu from this Chicago-style diner has a big selection (they do have bagels and cream cheese). I am sure that I will be back. read more

The food here is consistently good. The pancakes are excellent. The skillets are so flavorful and come with a side of toast or pancakes. You get your money's worth! The takeout orders are ready when promised and the food is hot! The hostess is always pleasant and acknowledges you the moment you walk in. This is my go to place for a good breakfast. read more

The Waitress was taking my order and was yelling at me!, I asked her i wanted a fried egg and she just kept blabbing at me what kind of toasted and i just said the usual egg. And i ordered hash browns and she totally FORGOT. In addition i asked her to calm down and she just kept yelling at me what kind of food i wanted! I turned it in for a BLT Club.. bacon was old and chewy.. I'll never eat here again. I've been there 5 times at 6am. When I walked in, they were clean and quiet. The service was okay. My issue is with the patrons. As a young black professional, I was highly offended by the culture of non acceptance. There were several white men that looked at me each time I walked in like I didn't belong. The staff was not unfriendly, but it wasn't as inviting as I would like. They have good pancakes though. read more

Great breakfast, if you're hungry get the chicken fried steak. It's massive and comes with hash browns and gravy and 3 eggs and pancakes. My favorite is the Greek skillet; yummy Feta cheese makes it extra flavorful. The tzatziki sauce is not my favorite though, they should use fresh cucumber not dill pickles. Iordered the feta and spinach omelet with tomatoes and onions and my mom ordered the blueberry belgium waffles and a side of bacon which she said was very good, and everyone that knows her knows she I'd the worlds pickiest eater so if she eats it all then you know it was good. The hash browns were very good and well seasoned I had them to add green peppers and onions. I can eat alot and for me to have leftovers says alot. I brought home some of my omelet hashbrowns and the 2 pancakes that came with the meal. Prices are reasonable honestly I would have paid more for the good quality. We have not been to the restaurant for many years. So we were excited to go there. However, the server was very gruff when I asked her about their colas. She said what do you want? I said a Diet Coke. She brings me back a Diet Pepsi. I told her I ordered a Diet Coke not a Diet Pepsi. Why does a server not say, I am sorry we do not serve Coke products. The food was ok. I went there a couple times and what I have to complain about is the waitress named Sherri. She is very rude and treats customers like they are garbage.
