After hiring an independent, licensed structural engineer to conduct a neutral assessment, it was determined that the foundation did not require push piers at all, and the actual recommended repairs were significantly less extensive. When I provided the engineer's report to Saber for a revised quote, the price dropped to a fraction of the original estimate. However, they then pivoted to pushing for a $10,000 mold remediation and vapor barrier project, claiming there was significant mold. I subsequently hired a professional restoration specialist to inspect the crawl space, and they confirmed there was no active mold growth or need for a vapor barrier. Furthermore, I noted technical discrepancies between the two reports: the engineer's report identified seven specific structural cracks, while Saber's proposal only identified five and failed to include the specific repair methods or hardware specified by the engineer. When I attempted to reach out to Saber to resolve these technical questions and discrepancies, I received no response. I would strongly advise other homeowners to obtain an independent structural engineering report before agreeing to any high-cost foundation work. In my experience, the repair scope provided by Saber did not align with the professional engineering standards required for my home's structural safety.

A structural engineer referred me to Sure Safe Foundation Systems over 12 years ago, and I've been referring them out ever since. What makes them stand out is their patented system. It repairs and replaces foundations for significantly less than what traditional contractors charge. That alone is huge for sellers trying to close without blowing their net proceeds or without the potential buyer canceling. We have been able to prevent home sales from falling apart because a traditional foundation report came in at 75k-100k. We immediately got Suresafe in, and they were able to complete the work for a quarter of the price, all because of their system. But honestly, besides that, it's the people. Family-owned, and it shows. From the office staff to the crew in the field, everyone is professional, patient, and easy to work with. My clients always come back and say how much they liked them. If you own a home in San Diego and need foundation work, call Suresafe first. They are really awesome.

Other systems are more difficult to install, and require hurricane straps, and other means of attachment. It is also adjustable, if there are squeaky floors! Their inspection was very thorough, well-documented, with pictures, clear descriptions, and estimates. They were able to find problems with the foundation, provide us documentation we used in our negotiations, and do the repair work quickly and efficiently. We have a lot more confidence moving into our place now and they are a big part of that. They helped us identify what issues should be fixed prior to moving in, and which we could do later. The co-owner of my house described them as "highly competent", and that's esteemed praise coming from him! I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone needing foundation inspections and/or repair.

Professional Foundation Repair- Highly Recommended. I had…read morethe enjoyment of working with Foreman Asael, his men Eduin , Yonathan and Joe. They were curtious beyond measure. The best part was the wonderful job they did fixing my foundation. My home is a much older home than most. Asael knew my home's foundation needed extra attention and care. He succeeded in doing so. Him and his men went above and beyond; if he saw something that needed extra work or more joists was needed that is what he gave. I give them an A-1 rating and a job well done for the Full Seismic Retrofit. The original part of this house was built 1903, added on 1923, 1997. This house should last another hundred or so years now. They cleaned up everything, replaced everything they moved. Asael, I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for not only the wonderful job you did but, for being so careful with my irreplaceable Christmas ornaments and my faux Christmas tree, (top part is being held together by nails). He kindly put my tree ornament box on wooden planks to keep it off the dirt and within easy reach. *After 8 hr job under the house, still smelt nice. Thank you to Carlos for sending the BEST out to my home! A Thank you to John Marshall, for not pushing us into any decision until we were ready.

We had…read moreprevious problems with foundation issues and spent a considerable amount of money securing the house about ten years ago with caisons and I thought this nightmare was over. I recently went down the canyon to do some gardening and noticed the lower hillside right below our property line was giving way. I thought to myself this nightmare was starting again. So I started reviewing my options and came across the name Azar builders. I was extremely impressed with his reviews so I made an appointment with Pete to come out to discuss the situation. Well the five star reviews were right on the money. Not only was Pete extremely knowledgeable, he put my mind at ease that everything was going to be okay. He should be called the "hillside therapist". He came up with an affordable solution and did not try to upsell me during the process. He methodically went through the whole process with me and boy did I have a ton of questions for him. He assured me he would rectify the situation. He fit me into his busy schedule and I got to know his crew very well. I would go down the canyon on a daily basis and his crew worked like clock work. Pete would instruct them on what to do but it was like they already knew exactly what they were doing. They worked to together so well and completed the job in about a week. I could not be happier with the work that Pete and his crew did at our residence. I am a retired 35 year Law enforcement officer who is usually very skeptical of contractors and their practices but Pete is the cream of the crop. He is a no BS type of guy who does what he says and backs up his work. I would highly recommend him and his fine company and crew.
