First time getting Skyline Chili. Went through drive thru and it was quick. Only one car in front of me on a Thursday afternoon at 4:49pm. Got the #3 Combo with three cheese coneys and a drink. Shredded cheese was really thinly sliced and the steamed buns were soft, chili was yummy and the hot dog was juicy, everything blended perfect! Although it's not a big coney so I think I finished all three in less than five minutes. Maybe next time I will get ten of these! read more

Been coming to this Skyline a long time but have noticed they are really scimping on their chili, especially on burritos. it's like they barely spread anything on the tortilla and the ends are nothing but tortilla, no chili at all on the first or last inch or so of the burrito. Definitely not worth the price. read more

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Allergy menu lists all foods that are dairy free, soy free, etc. in their own categories which was super helpful. They had something for everyone in my family. Kids had oyster crackers to munch on and drinks to drink while waiting for food. We were served at the table which was neat I thought. My one kid could only have food off the regular menu not the kid's menu due to allergies, but staff was accommodating and made a smaller portion for him. We were checked on many times, but not obnoxiously so. Everyone loved their food and there was even an safe (allergy-wise) treat option for both of my kids (Oreos or popsicle) which the staff mentioned towards the end and clarified when it was ok to bring it over which was very nice. Anyone with kids knows once they see the treat they don't want their food anymore! Thanks! ONLY THING I WOULD CHANGE... it would be great to have a changing table in the woman's restroom - or both! I had to lay paper towel down on the floor (gross!) to change my kid's very messy diaper (I won't change a diaper like this on a booth - yuck!). I've been a consistent Skyline fan/customer for my whole life, and have never had such a poor experience at a Skyline location. One of the beauties of Skyline is the fast service you typically receive, and also getting your food pretty quickly. My friends and I (party of 3) went to this location for St. Patrick's Day, and sat at a booth for 20+ minutes without receiving contact from our waiter, crackers, or waters. At about 25 minutes of no contact, I went up to ask for crackers to hold us over. We were told someone would be over....but after 5 more minutes went by and we still hadn't met our server, we decided to leave. On our way out, a waiter asked if there was anything she could do.... We said "no thank you," but of course - someone could've brought us crackers and waters during our 30 minute wait and we would've stayed. The environment was pretty chaotic and messy - I think everyone in the restaurant felt bad for the workers. I generously gave this review two stars as they were busy and I don't fault the waiters as much as the management team for only scheduling a couple waiters on such a busy day. Also, the only other time I've been to this Skyline location, it was some of the best tasting Skyline I've had. Not sure I'll come back to this location after such a poor experience, I'll probably opt for the Skyline by the Dayton Mall. Hopefully Springboro Skyline can shape up and provide other customers better service in the future. read more

You know what time it is... the lovely mrs knows when I've had a hard day that it's 'Skyline Time'. Unfortunately, we were closest to the Springboro store. I love the store(and the folks!) by the Dayton Mall and the one in Lebanon. The drive through service was good but as per usual, the order did not meet my unusually high standards. To tell you how often I go to this store... I've had this $5 off my tenth meal card in my wallet for probably 10yrs. We used to go here with my kids back in the day when it was apparently operated by a different family(group) and the kids liked the old school diner decor along with the fact it was Skyline and they know dad loves a cheese coney any day or time of the week. read more

I came to this Skyline because I wanted to try the Mac and Cheese 5 way, currently only being tested in the Dayton market. I entered and was offered to sit wherever. I chose a booth and was instantly waited on. My sweet tea was kept full and I was given a to-go cup at the end. The Mac and Cheese 5 way WITH habanero cheese is the only way I want to eat my Skyline from now on! The mac and cheese sauce itself wasn't overly thick or rich on the cavatappi, just lightly sauced, which was the right way to do it, otherwise it might be too much. I still needed a container for left overs as the portion was generous. For desert I tried their funnel cake fries, which were made to order. They came out hot, crispy, and delicious. They were not greasy at all. While this location is a little outdated, the staff is friendly and it is clean. read more

This is my second skyline chili and man I'm always been wondering where the food went after I've finished. As heavy as the dish looks and probably is, it just doesn't feel that way after finishing. I'm curious why? My last visit I had a 3 way (not this location), and this time I had a 5 way. Both were great. We do have skyline in Miami but not close. Food is very reasonable, and considering we were seated at the bar we had quick service. The kitchen is open, a very Greek tradition, but it's a little strange to me to see staff also filling drive thru orders with headsets on their heads. It's clearly efficient. I have been to this location multiple times throughout the years and always have consistently good service and food. You always know exactly what to expect and get just that. This is where I like to go when I only have a few minutes to get away from work and want to sit down but don't want to wait forever. Apparently chili on spaghetti is an Ohio thing so if you haven't tried it you'll need to before you leave or you may never get the chance again!!! I'm a simple gal and just prefer regular chili spaghetti but others add mounds of cheese and onion so if you like that sort of thing, go for it. Make sure you get the oyster crackers and you're going to want to ask for extra. While you wait on your food, load the crackers with hot sauce and eat them as your appetizer. If you are delicate, wait until your drink arrives or you will be sorry!! After the food arrives, add the crackers to the food. That's how it's done! read more

Food is excellent, service sucks! It didn't take long to get my food, very fast. But the whole time I ate, no one checked on me, no one asked me if everything was ok. No one asked if I wanted a drink refill. The manager looking guy brought our food and we asked him for a bag or box to put some leftover crackers and stuff for the kids to take home. He completely ignored us and walked away. I had to stare the server down to get my check. Terrible service. There are plenty of Skylines around here that have good service, I guess I'll be going there instead from now on. read more

I now live in Virginia (which has no Skylines) and their version of Cincinnati style is not even close. A good 5-way and a couple of cheese coneys is as good as it gets. Like others have said, food is fine service is cr@p. I sat at the counter with my sons, and watched our food sit on the counter for several minutes while our server was cleaning tables on the other side of the restaurant. After watching every employee walk past the food several times (including the manager) I finally had to ask the guy making the food if he could bring it over to us. Very disappointed with manager, Keagan Brech at this location. I stopped to eat an impromptu lunch with a customer & there was a minor issue with their bill where they were charged an additional $1.29 without notification from the waitress. Waitress politely, directed to speak with Keagan Brech who told another manager to remove the charge while flinging a plastic container lid in disgust across the prep area. When asked what the manager's name is, refused to provide it & told that, "it's on the front door." I went to this skyline a few days ago. I used to go here all the time. It seems to be under new management. The restaurant itself looks better but the quality of food and service has gone down the drain. My daughter and I ordered 3 ways. The chili was waterd down, the noodles we're cold and the cheese was clumpy. The server was very polite. I couldn't help but hear one of the cooks talking very loudy about inappropriate things. I could hear him over the music playing. I couldn't stand to eat in a place like that. I had to get a togo box. When I went to pay it turns out the obnoxious loud cook was a manager named Dave. Very unprofessional and inappropriate. I will never take my daughter here again or recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very dissapointed. A few years ago we came into this Skyline and it was awful, every single one of the tables were dirty and the entire restaurant smelled of garbage. We left not knowing if we would ever return. We had just been going to the Gold Star up the street but maybe a year after that first visit (time heals all wounds) we were in the area and thought we would give them another chance. Nope, still bad service and dirty. Early this year we moved and are now closer to this location and again thought we would give them another chance, they're our local Cincinnati style chili place for crying out loud. We have now been back at least 6 times over the past few months, the service has been fantastic, the food really good and the tables clean. I think they may have even remodeled the restaurant. It looks as if they must have finally gotten their act together. Compared to the Gold Star this is now way better, the servings are bigger a small 3-way here is the same as a regular up the street and the prices are better too. read more

I love skyline but this location messed up our order on the drive through. One part of our order was two hot dogs on a bun. We get our food and it's just two hot dogs. We swing back through and ask the to correct our order. We tried to give the hot dogs back to just have some buns added, they said just hold on to it, hand us another container of just buns and charge us again for just buns. I'm disappointed that a mistake was made and there was no effort to correct it and charging extra for it. read more

After 35 years of eating at Skyline Chili, I had the worst experience yesterday at the Springboro, OH location... While sitting at a counter stool, I took a bite into my cheese coney, it was so hot it blistered the bottom of my tongue... The 2 guys working the steam table started laughing and told me "I needed to be more careful"...this resulted in me getting up and promptly leaving... After calming down, i called to talk to the manager..."Josh" told me that there was nothing he would do to make things right and "tough luck"...
