As we continue our trial of the difference between Ohio Skyline's to Florida locations, our next stop was the location near Kings Island. My 4 cheese coneys, no onions, heavy mustard, was again nothing to write home about. One coney was good, while 3 dry, not much cheese and almost no mustard. My wife ordered her regular 4 way. We checked in at our hotel late enough that only Skyline Chili was still open. I had been to one of their locations but the other three had never heard of them. My wife chose a Chicken Chili Bowl and I h ad a small Chili Spaghetti. The other three were thinking differently than I when ordering chili. I was thrilled with my order. The other three older adults were not as pleased with what they ordered. I would quickly return, but not the other three. Service was excellent. The food was delivered promptly and correctly. This was one of our least expensive trips on this trip. That is a plus! read more

My niece loves Skyline. So Day two of our Cincinnati adventure and we are at Skyline for another lunch. We came on Sunday around 2 pm and the waitress was super friendly. Food came out extremely quickly and was very filling. I had my first coney dog with cheese which I saw so many people eat last night at the Cincinnati Reds game, I wanted to try it. It was delicious for someone who loves chili hot dogs but who rarely indulges. Since we don't have Skyline in Atlanta, I probably won't have one for the next decade. My family stopped here on a Saturday afternoon around noon for a quick lunch before going to Kings Island. Waitress quickly came over to us and took our orders. From Indianapolis.. transplanted to Texas. My sister lives in OH...so have wanted to try skyline for a while. Recently been seeing the chili being sold in the freezer section of our local grocery. Of course, don't want any of that. Visited my sister this week and went to skyline. Had the 5-way and cheese coney per suggestion of my sisters hub. The actual chili is great. It was a hard time with all the cold shredded cheese piled on top. I appreciate fine shredded cheese... but please be melty. The coney bun is sweet and small. The dog was tasty. Next time, no mustard. It didn't jam with the cinnamon in the chili. Also... I L.O.V.E. onions...but the onions on this small dog was a big much. No complaints on the 5 way..onion were a pleasure and the pile of cheese melted after mixing it. Now on the my fams experience. My daughter got the chicken bacon ranch wrap and hated it. They made it wrong to start...added tomatoes when she asked without. Said it was all cold. Could chew through the bacon. She took a total of 2 bites..reluctantly... and gave up. Location isn't in such a bad spot, but the place is in need of an update. It's right by Kings Island and the Beach waterpark. It is an older Skyline location, proven by the décor and layout, but it's a lot larger then other locations nearby. Our server was very friendly and the food and drinks came fast. Skyline is skyline but this location did not meet the high standards. First off we had to wait about 10 minutes to be greeted by our waitress, who was practically nonexistent. She only asked us our order, gave us our food and said enjoy, and brought the bill. We ordered water and we got just water, we had to ask for ice. The smell in here smells like something was burnt, and was honestly horrible to smell throughout dinner. The noodles seemed a little undercooked and the chili was very watery. Could have had a little better noodle to chili to cheese ratio. Sad to say this was not a great experience at a skyline. read more

Stopped in here after leaving Great Wolf Lodge for a late lunch. It was a very nice, clean restaurant and my family all loved the train going around the top. The service was excellent and the food was great! It was better than the Skylines I have been to in NKY. I had a 3 way vegetarian potato and a side salad. Disgusting is too kind of a word to describe this place! First off the waitress brought out our "forks" no spoons un wrapped touching the main part of them. She then sat them down on a dusty.. dirty napkin holder. After taking our drink order she went around putting the forks in our little bowls of crackers that were stale as hell. I have to echo the statements by others. It is a bit of a dingy location. Generally unorganized looking. Not only that, the location seems very dated. Straight out of the 1980's. This Skyline Chili is one of my favorites. Not only is it conveniently located for where I work, but the guys at the chili prep bar definitely don't do a whole lot of skimping on the chlii. You'll be sure to get your fill of chili here! Other pluses include the fact they have Diet Dr. Pepper and that the waitress now knows my "usual": A small 3-way inverted (you get more chili that way) and a chilito. Well.... I ordered a 5 way with a coney and sweet tea. My wife ordered a classic wrap with dressing on the side and water. I'm not sure if that is sweet tea because I could hardly taste the sweet. My wife wrap arrived and it turned out to be a buffalo wrap. She can't stand spicy anything and nearly burnt her tongue off. She told the waitress and got a half hearted "I'm sorry" and they replaced her wrap with the correct one. The waitress did say it was her fault. She misunderstood the order. I was never offered a refill on my drink but was offered a refill on my crackers after my meal was finished and she took my plate away. As I was walking out I noticed the kitchen area was a disaster. There was chili spilled everywhere. It just makes me wonder how clean they are after using the restroom if they aren't clean in the kitchen. read more

Service was absolutely terrible. We had a waitress that was disrespectful. When we asked for a refill, as she turned to refill our drinks she loudly mumbled "what do I look like your f***ing maid?" I asked for a diet Dr Pepper and received a different drink. When I kindly asked her for the correct drink she argued with me and turned around and mumbled "you should say sorry, but your not." Her and another server were arguing over the entire restaurant how it's not there turn to get the table and how they don't want it. As we left the restaurant she continued mumbling things under her breath about us. I called and asked to speak to a manger and they simply just said "thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will speak to her." I never have been berated by a server like this and will not be returning to this location. Being from Indiana where we have no Cincinnati chili (other than what you can buy frozen or canned in the super market) I have to love this place. It is certainly true that the harder it is to get something, the fonder its memory is in your mind. So that's my problem. I can't drive by a Skyline without stopping, especially this one, which cruel fate has chosen to place directly on my route. If I have time, I go inside for a 5-way upside down. (you get more sauce that way -- so if you like the sauce a lot...) If I'm in a hurry, it's one or two coneys to go with something to wash 'em down. The crew in this store is always helpful and nice. I like the booths the best, but when you sit on the stools at the counter you can see them put your meal together. My one small cranky note about the franchise is that the hot dogs keep getting smaller. I hope it will not get to the point where we need a magnifying glass and tweezers to enjoy them. Hey, you corporate brainiacs! Why not just charge a little bit more and give us a normal size hot dog? read more

This is my favorite Skyline. Very Quaint, not cold and plastic like many of the locations are now. Service very prompt and friendly. Food always hot, fresh and good. Pass - go to another Skyine. It's only getting one star, well, because it's Skyline, and I love Sklyine. We stopped in the Waterpark Dr location this afternoon (approx 1:40pm), and it was filthy, by filthy, I mean it looks like it had not been cleaned in days. I am attaching the pictures so you can see for yourself how disgusting the restaurant is. The associates had their belongings strewn about taking up 4 seats at the bar and two tables. They actually had Skyline uniforms, clothes, open purses, bags, cell phones and vapes laying around as well as food and drinks - no one was even attending to them. A sweeper was plugged into a outlet right next to our table, the only clean one we could find - not even sure why it was there - who knows when the sweeper was last used. The tables were a mess, the garbage was overflowing, they had a chili pot sitting in the middle of the floor, and our waitress was less than thrilled to be there. Even though the food was decent, I would never return to this location based on the dirtiness of the restaurant. Clean it up, and please make the associates wear clean uniforms - there is no way they got that dirty in under 1/2 days work :-(. Gross! read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was fairly surprised with how bad things were. Had to walk around to find a clean table as the entire restaurant was a mess. The place was empty and the employees were just standing around. Silverware on the floors, tables weren't bussed, and employees had food out in the kitchen bar.
