Cute little place on the East Side of Indianapolis. I don't love the style of Cincinnati chili, but I know my friend says it hit the spot for her craving. Food came out super quick! Service was friendly and it was nice to try something different.

I have been addicted to this place since high school and it will forever be one of my cravings. I recommend you taste a sample of the chili before ordering since it has an acquired taste. My fav menu items: 5way Juicy, Greek Salad, Deluxe Burrito, Skyliners with mustard and onion, Chilitos with sour cream, Cheddar Potato Service has always been wonderful, never had to wait.

Skyline has been in my family since I was a baby. Mom's side was from Cincinnati so trips there started with a meet at Skyline. Love the new location of this one. New and updated building. I have never had bad Skyline chili. Always the same at everyone I have eaten. I have been to many locations all over Indiana and Ohio. Most people go for the 3-4-5 ways but me, a Skyline all Chili deluxe burrito and a cheese coney to top it off. The burritos are where it is at. It is a seat yourself place but if you are able it is always nice to grab a seat at the bar. Cool experience to watch them make your supper and service is always super quick.

This was our first visit to Skyline Chili. We had BOGO coupons for the chili and for coney dogs so we came. The waitress was very friendly and patient with us. She brought our drinks right away. Our food came quickly and was fresh and hot. It tasted very good. The hot dogs are very small. I asked for ketchup and never got it so the score went down. I paid 30 cents extra for onion on my chili and literally counted 5 teeny tiny pieces of onion. That was laughable. There went another point in my book because that made it their 4 way chili instead of 3 way chili. Now that's funny! We each had a Diet Dr. Pepper and without the coupons our bill would have been $21.00 and some cents. Too much for what we had. With coupons it was $14.00. We did receive drinks to go which was super nice. Without coupons I would not return.

This is a short review. Not much to talk about.... So i was in Indiana over the weekend and my brother was raving about this place. Not knowing what it was about, i just assumed it was a basic chili place from the name. Hmm, walking in its a little grimy, but hey if you only knew whats been in this mouth haha. Basically, it's a gamey tasting chili piled ontop of spaghetti noodles, covered in chopped onions and grated cheese. This was amazing!!! If you're in Ohio or Indiana this place is a must go!! Until next time...

It has become sort of a tradition, two times, for us to stop on the way home from finishing our marathon on our way back to Chicago. I have run two marathons now, Columbus and Cincinnati, and for both we stopped in the Indianapolis area for some Skyline Chili. Skyline might not be the best choice post 26.2 miles but it is a must anytime I am able to go to one. This location was very slow and is located in a very old strip mall. The main signs for the lot still had a Service Merchandise sign and a Chinese Buffet for $3.95. Neither of those things exist in today's reality. Service was a little slow considering we were one party of maybe three total that were there. The bathroom was serviceable and the staff was helpful. They actually knew we had run the marathon. One reason is because the Flying Pig is a popular marathon in the surrounding area and the other is because we were moving like Lebron James when he is cramping up in the NBA Finals.

    Classic 3-way

I always have enjoyed my visits to this location while traveling from Chicago to Cincinnati or visa versa. They tend to make them extra wet in Indy and you can even request them to be sloppy. Only drawback sometimes their pasta is stuck together. This is definitely the most convenient location with access to the highway. The current manager worked her butt off and she does a great job on the line too.

Love the chili 3-way. Too much cheese though, so I order with lite cheese. Still delicious. Great service and a clean place.

Okay it's not fine food, but I have had a soft spot for three ways since I had my first one in Cincinnati. It's the kind of thing you crave,

So, I stopped in to this Cumberland location of Dairy Queen Grill & Chill. This is an odd location with a few closed businesses and a vacant church across the street. However, i've always had a certain fondness for this DQ location despite the fact it's seen its better days. The parking lot has a handful of potholes - including one right as you turn in that will be a bit jarring if you don't see it. I do believe this is actually in Cumberland - so, technically, no Indy pothole jokes here. This location has both dine-in and drive-thru options. I hit the drive-thru, but then stuck around to actually eat my lunch. I snagged a $7 meal deal that included 3 chicken tenders, a small fries, a sundae, and a regular drink. You can upgrade to a small blizzard for $2 more. There aren't too many places you can eat for under a ten spot anymore - that's a definite plus. The service was solid. It wasn't anything remarkable, but the employee was friendly and timely. The food was solid. I always think it's weird to call a small dish of ice cream with a topping a "sundae," but I get the point and it is what I was craving. So, it was fine. I didn't see iced tea on the menu, a bit disappointing. Three Cumberland police officers were present. Business was steady throughout my visit. While this is Cumberland, it's really right on the line. I think right across the street is actually Indy. They do have accessible parking. Most DQ locations do accessibility fairly well. There's an outside dining option here, though it really wasn't warm enough today. I'm surprised I'd never reviewed this place. While I won't say I get here often, I often do stop in when I'm in the area. Overall, things were what I'd call "just fine." I'll definitely return - not because it's 5-star dining, but because it's a comfort spot with decent food at good prices and ice cream I get nostalgic for once in a while.

On a recent Sunday afternoon we were passing through Indianapolis looking for a place to have lunch…read morethat we don't have at home (Louisville) and I said to the wife, I said "Hey, can you see if there's a Jack in the Box we can have lunch at in Indi"?, to which she replied "That sounds good, let me check!". She found one right off if I-70, so I told my car to navigate me there (My car can do that) and in 10 minutes arrived at the Post Rd location. This location is right off of the expressway and it's very easy to find. It was about 1:30pm, so we fortunately missed the lunch rush. Before we even walked in I knew what I wanted, and that was those outstanding Jack in the Box tacos. We were second in line behind a small family, so that gave us enough time to look at the menu (although I didn't need to because: TACOS). As we stood there waiting to place our order with the cashier (notice that I said with a cashier and not on an impersonal freakin' kiosk like a boatload of other fast food eateries any more?) I saw a sign touting the Monster Taco, only available for a limited time? What's better than a Jack in the Box Taco? A Jack in the box MONSTER Taco! Yes, please, I'll take two! (for $3, by the way). Wifey had a burger or something...I was too busy being excited about getting Dem Tacos! The restaurant was clean and well-stocked when we arrived, aside from the drink station with, let's face it, is trashed in just about any fast food restaurant. The floors were clean, trash wasn't overflowing, and all the tables were clean. My wife's whatever-it-was burger was good (by her account). The Monster Tacos were very much worth taking a short detour off of I-65. I had the Angry Monster and the Regular Monster. The Angry Monster had a red taco shell and a spicier sauce..and I Liked It! The staff we encountered (cashier, primarily) was very nice and helpful. For the most part the staff was busy taking care of things, but during the 45 or so minutes of our stay, no one came out to take care of the dining room. Now that we know there's a Jack in the Box easily accessible during our trips to Ft Wayne and back...TACOS!
