I absolutely love Skyline and am always sure to stop by one during my visit to the area. We came to this location with a large group, 14 of us. We were able to sit pretty close together and we were attended to promptly, despite them being quite busy and at a peak meal time. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to our large groups needs. Skyline is a local favorite providing you with 3/4/5 way chili in a variety of different styles to palpitate your taste buds. This location is exceptionally clean, well kept, friendly staff, fair amount of seating and overall a great experience for this style of food. Yes it is considered fast food, however they do provide you with a number of different menu options to cater to your needs. They also have a few vegetarian options for those that do not eat meat. I have my personal two favorites, the 4 way coney and 4 way spaghetti juicy. It's the perfect amount of food to satisfy that chili and cheese craving that comes from time to time. Went through the drive thru and ordered 3 chilitos with spaghetti. They handed me a bag with one of their take out burrito containers. I checked, because I thought something had to be wrong since I ordered 3. Nope, they made them the size of a hotdog and stuck 3 in one box. I should have thrown it right back through the window and told them to make it again. $4 a piece is a complete rip off when they make them that small. Each one was literally 2 bites. There's absolutely no consistency across their chain of restaurants when it comes to the chilitos. One will make them the size of an average burrito and right down the street will make them the size of a hotdog. read more

It's been awhile since I've visited this location. And, it'll be awhile for me to go back. The Help Wanted sign on the entry door should have been the first clue there were issues coming. It's Skyline so there's no waiting to review the menu. The waitress took our order and the waiting commenced. Too long to wait for drinks, crackers and food. Additionally, the place is dirty and there are lights out in the dining area. Gold Star is where I'll go next time. read more

I'm ok with it. I don't know why, but I'm repulsed and also I'm ok with it. This doesn't really happen often, so it's hard to put it into words. Cincinnati chili is nauseating and the whole building reeks of the weird cinnamon concoction. It's gross but I'm ok with it. The copious piles of cold, dusty, thinly-shredded cheese piled high is unappealing at best and offers nothing in the way of cheese flavor. I'm ok with it. Buns are bad. They're gross, fleshy, cheap, white bread that turns to goop. Not okay with those on any level. I definitely do NOT want to eat it again. But I would eat it if it was in front of me, and I would be okay with not liking it again. read more

Went through the drive through, my order was correct and unbelievably fast. However, it's my opinion that oyster crackers and hot sauce are integral parts of the skyline experience. I didn't receive either of those things. Granted, I didn't ask for them specifically, but that's because I have been given these things without having to ask before at other locations. Nothing is better than Skyline. This is the Skyline I come to most often when I visit Cincinnati. I usually stick to a regular size 3-way with a water. If you haven't been to Skyline or are not from the Ohio area I would say the Skyline dining experience is similar to that of Steak and Shake. I have gotten a coney a chilito as well as a few other things. Most of the menu items are the same with a pile of chili and cheese plopped no top of your meal. I don't go to this skyline, even tho it's only 100ft from my house. I drive up to the North bend one. I always order the same thing Burrito Juicy extra bean mix in 3-4 box since they don't use the new boxes they try to cram it into the ok'd style boxes. 1-extra cheese coney no w mustard,3 chili cheese sandwiches no w mustard a Mt Dew light ice. 2-cheesecakes if they have them. I always ask for crackers and tell them I'll pay for them. Last time no crackers and no Mt Dew. Time before that no crackers no cheese cake. Time before that no crackers no knife no napkins and if that's extra bean mix that I paid for you need to be re trained. Absolutely never had an issue w NB store and they don't charge me for crackers. It's just dumb I have to drive from rybolt to NB to get skyline. Corporate needs to inspect them, there cheepsakes and try to fool the guest. I know the proper oz's of chili and burrito mix. I was an AGM years ago for Corp. I'm a Detroit girl, and I love my Coney Islands. Traveling to Cincinnati for a bowling tournament I was excited to see a restaurant known for their coney's and chili sauce. Skyline has grown their franchise to now provide chili in the grocery isle. This is good, because if you enjoy this stuff enough you can buy it in the stores. Well, I decided to give it a try. Entering this Skyline location, I was impressed with the decor and cleanliness of the restaurant. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I let them know this was my first time ordering, so they helped me place my order. I ordered a coney and a side of fries. My total came to about $4.80. I waited at least 5 minutes or less for my order. The speed was impressive and reminded me of our local coney islands in Detroit, Mi. Taking my first bite, I was thrown off by the taste. I immediately noticed, the chili tasted nothing like Detroit's chili. There was definitely an indescribable taste that threw me off. I ate the entire dog, however won't be ordering another one. I think I shouldn't have gotten cheese on it too. I'm not used to cheese on my coneys. The fries were loaded in the bag. Skyline is very generous with their fries. I was able to share them with two other people in the car. Overall, there are some similarities to the Coney Island's in Detroit, however, Skyline does not stand a chance with Detroits Coney Islands. read more

Skyline is typically pretty good, but the Dent location has always been disappointing, especially when taking the drive-thru. Chilitos are not meant to be dilapidated and following apart. Yet, the restaurant hastily gave me my chilitos without a bag or any oyster crackers. My chilitos are impossible to eat, but I'm not surprised. On the last occasion I went in to ask for a remake, the manager tried to pin the blame on me and suggested I was at fault for waiting awhile to come back and complain. Skyline is a good franchise overall, but please go to another location. The Cleves Skyline is a good location. read more

After watching about Cincinnati Style Chili on various food and travel shows I was excited to try it. It looked interesting. With so many locations I figured it must be good. Maybe it is because I am not originally from here. I do not understand Cincinnati Style Chili. It tastes like a child was trying to "help," and poured a bunch of seasonings that don't belong right in it. It is a strange science experiment. Not only does it have a strange taste, but a strange "bite" to it. It's not that it's too spicy. Every bite tastes like that moment after a meal when heartburn comes back up. SKYLINE! Ahem. Sorry I get really excited when I see the logo and pictures of their food. You see I'm a born Cincinnatian, and we just have something in our blood or perhaps a gene that predisposes us to these delectable delights. I've was brought up eating at the various Skyline locations in Cincinnati with Dent, Bridgetown, and Glenway being the most frequent. Now however, I do have the pleasure of having the Bethel Skyline less than 5 minutes away. This is of course great. Though if I ever lose the my self control (or some would say semblance of) it is likely that this would cause my health to take a nose dive. But man would I die happy. I have to admit, and this will sound strange, but eating Skyline up here while excellent doesn't have the same je ne sais quoi that it does in Cincinnati. I have at times made the claim that it tastes a little different but perhaps I'm just being a Skyline snob and should just shut up and enjoy the magic. It's also possible that my parents have brain washed me into thinking this so I'll visit more often. Also if you get to this review and you are reading it deciding whether or not to give Skyline a try... Get in your car now. Just go. Ignore any reviews claiming mediocrity. While I'm definitely quite the fan of skyline, the particular service/experience I had at this particular time and at the Harrison location was not good. Went later on a weekday night, wasn't crowded in the least. I could tell our waitress was new. Got our drink order but no straws. She disappeared after that so my fiancé just got up and got straws from the station. She took our order, and needed help from another waitress how to call it in. We had to ask for crackers and hot sauce, something they normally always bring over and she did not. She gave us our food, but no silverware, we once again had to ask for it. She disappeared a second time for awhile to the point another waitress came by to check on us. When we got the check I was a little surprised to see how much I was charged for extra cheese. Almost $2.00!!! I've never been charger before, and maybe they do charge you, some waiters maybe just waive it.. but if there's a fee I would appreciate being told that. It's a little ridiculous. I brought some out-of-town visitors here because they were staying close by (I know, right?!). I was pleased with our friendly server who was patient with my guests as they needed time to read the full menu and understand the lingo-while reviewing, she even offered to bring them a sample of the chili so that they knew what it was and if they liked it before ordering-that is the first time that's happened in my Skyline experiences, so an extra star for that. read more

Classic Cincinnati style chili. One of the better locations as far as service and experience. The cheese they use for their coneys and 3 ways is amazing! Especially ever since they added extreme cheese to the menu. If your looking to add a little spice and great flavor I highly recommend it! This service at the drive-through was top-notch. Our order came out quickly, tasted great and was accurate. We ordered two cheese coneys and they were different requests and they even wrote a note on top of the box that said the plain one had crackers on top. Nice touch! We were in there for dining just the day before and our server was very friendly, fast. Restaurant was also clean. Wish we had one in Atlanta, Georgia. read more
