The one-man mobile restaurant has become a staple of mine for every Reds game. All beef Nathan's hot dogs are the big seller with recent additions to the menu such as "mets" and the occasional bratwurst. He stocks a variety of toppings and condiments including ketchup, mustard, Cleveland's own stadium mustard, cheese, onions, and jalapenos to name a few. To wash down the delicious dogs, a choice of gatorade, water, or common canned pop products like mountain dew, coke, and pepsi can also be purchased. The prices are fair and definitely better than inside the stadium. At $3 a dog or 2 for $5 and pop or water for a buck, Drew's hot dog cart is a must-stop before venturing into GABP. We decided to grab two burgers and two hot dogs, the Trailer Park and the FC Dawg. We sat at the bar, just getting a couple waters, and our food came out about fifteen or twenty minutes later. We started with our burgers, not expecting much from them. But they were actually really tasty. Even for a thin patty, they were well-cooked and a bit juicy. Thin onion slices and thick tomato--exactly my preference. And the burger sauce was tangy and a bit spicy. A really great burger for just $5. Then we split the hot dogs in half. the Trailer Park was topped with Coleslaw and Grippo's. The slaw was decent and the chips weren't out of place, but as a whole the dog was a bit underseasoned. The FC Dawg is their version of a Kony, with chili, cheese, and fritos. The toppings weren't bad, but similar to the first dog, it was a bit bland. We'd both skipped lunch and for $5, we couldn't resist grabbing a couple more burgers. The dogs were 3 stars, but the burgers for the price were 5 stars, and we'll definitely be back for them.

Will never go back again . Some of the employees don't wash their hands enough , I've Witnessed them make vulgar jokes and talk about doing drugs such as marijuana and psychedelics in front of the guests as well as making fun of guests . Also have seen them make fun of their employees with disabilities and treat their employees of color with the smallest amount of respect. Also forgot to add that I've seen them drop food on the floor and hand it out to customers through the drive-thru window as if nothing happened as if COVID-19 isn't a current issue that we're dealing with . All i wanted to do was take my family out to eat after being inside the house for so long and every time I've went there'd be an inconvenience. Just wondering if a "family" restaurant should be doing that around families . read more

I am from Dallas and had Skyline 10 times or so over the years, but never had the chance to try Gold Star. I had Skyline last night (they have a location right next to my hotel). It was ok, fresh & hot, but just didn't hit that hard. Tonight, I found a Gold Star on Yelp, drove across town and ordered a Cheese Coney, a Cheese Burger (lettuce, extra pickles and mayo only), fries and a drink. I told the gentleman at the window that it was my first time trying a Gold Star, and I was excited. He said I'm really gonna enjoy the burger. He was right, It was klutch. Hot, fresh, cooked well and delivered perfectly as I had ordered. Love the crinkle fries, they are a huge PLUS. The Cheese Coney was soft, tender, great chili taste, plenty of cheese and a soft (steamed?) bun. This was not a production line meal; it was culinary excellence in my opinion - they cared about the food they were making and serving. They delivered above my expectations. I am sure the person working the window thought I was nuts, but it's the little things for me. After I ate, I called and spoke with a nice lady to thank them for the quality and experience. I am sure that she thought I was crazy too, but I like to call out good/positive behavior. It's important for me, especially in a world where people are so quick to criticize. Don't get me wrong, however. Skyline (or Gold Star, or Blue Ash, etc) is great. Both recipes are excellent, but Dixie's taste is a little bolder. And, when comparing macros to macros, Dixie stacks up better (more protein, less fat). BOLD FLAVORS: Note that one option for the Dixie's chili mac is the famous "6 way." A 6-way, is the standard Cinci/Greek "5-way," (Spaghetti, chili, beans, onions, cheese) with the addition of chopped garlic!
