We were here for an event: The start and finish of Bikes & Beers 2024 (Brandford, CT). Bikes & Beers tours the country year-round, offering cycling events that revolve around--you guessed it--breweries. Over the last few years, we've enjoyed weekends away across New England when they come to our corner of the country. Their events are very well organized and fun, with a portion of the proceeds going to local charities. Plus, there's beer! After our 30-mile ride in and around Branford, we joined the other riders for the after-ride event at the brewery for food and fun. That's the formula for all Bikes & Beers events. Back to Stony Creek Brewery. As I said, the setting is idyllic for a warm, sunny summer day. However, you'd find limited indoor dining/drinking space on a rainy day. I enjoyed their seasonal IPA (the only beer I drink) and found it exceptional. My better half had the grilled chicken sandwich to satisfy her hunger while she ordered a chili dog for me. IT WAS HUGE (and delicious). We didn't get to try the other interesting items on their menu, but our fellow riders said good things about theirs.
