Online reviews from google show their good side but you have to read further back and on other sites to find the, true colors, poor reviews. Genesis responded to my inquiry for a basement finishing job ( framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall to paint ready, install a full bath, 1 office and 1 bedroom and completion with ready to paint drywall and no flooring). Work was set to begin in April 2025 but was 3 weeks late due to Genesis being behind on 2 other jobs as I was told. My wife and I were told MANY TIMES, this job was going to be done before our first son was to arrive end of May 2025 but the job was not completed with paint ready drywall with the until September 2025. I was accompanied by Mark for the final walkthrough before any work was scheduled to begin and we adjusted a few items. Later I found out that the changes were only written in his notepad and were not known about until a month later when the bathroom shower (that was changed for the contractor to supply). I had to spend $2k spontaneously to purchase a shower insert that still took 2 weeks to arrive and blamed for the delay. I was later asked for more money after giving them 1/2 deposit of total job with not even full framing done due to the delay " I caused". The subcontractors this company uses are subpar, very dirty, unprofessional, lack any care for the homes that are not their own. They used my homes facilities, pissed all over the floors multiple times, left construction debris, trash, and cigarette buts all over my lawn which killed sections of my yard not to mention the amount of times we cleaned up the street of debris left by everyone over and over. Before what was supposed to be the "final inspection" I was again sent repeated invoices for a job that was not completed. The framers got defensive once confronted about their work when there was issues present. I doubt if they did repairs to their own homes the job would be right the first time. Many times repairs had to be redone including the cutting for an egress window that had to be pulled out and recut/ framed 3 times from my homes foundation due to either being too small or not framed/ installed right. No dust mitigation was done and my houses smoke alarms were going off and the people are asking my wife how to turn them off. The barely any English speaking crew asked my wife how the window had to be installed like they were clueless as to how they just pulled the window out again. Bathroom was mis-framed, a column was supposed to be in a wall but is not, We asked for some type of dust/ dirt mitigation (expecting that regardless there would be some due to the work done) but there was none done and only a sheet of plastic put up after repeatedly telling them to do something. Debris was left all over my basement while work was done and the first inspector said this was a disaster of a job site. Once my son was born I found out my house failed what was supposed to be the "final inspection" and I was again sent repeated invoices for a job that was not completed. Genesis is quick to request money for work that isn't completed. I have supplies that I can not return due to their delays, a basement that still requires more work after they stated they were done, additional damages to my home that were not compensated for. The owner never responded to any of my messages, the project manager was apologetic and just repeated it'll be 2 weeks, as my house was his first basement job. I waited 2 weeks with no response from the owner and they put a lean on the house that was removed after much back and forth about compensation and final payment. What was promised as a 3-4 week job, per the owner, took 5 months, more of my own money lost on continuous repairs and supplies unused and unreturnable, a home that is not still not able to be done after my son turned 7 months due to their mistakes, lack of communication, poor planning. My home was never a priority but a filler job. I found posts about Genesis dropping what they had going on todo other work for someone getting their house ready to sell. There is many more issues that I can't list here. I personally regret reaching out to their company if I really knew how they treated really treat their customers.

They not only found the usual rot issues, but figured out why the back of home was always cold in the winter and hot in the summer. You guessed it...the builders did not insulate the ceilings in the back of home. Not only does our new bathroom look great but it is much warmer. Mark, Travis, Kayleigh, and Kim from the Genesis team were all very helpful and professional. The Genesis team was always prompt about answering any text or phone calls regarding the project and tried to keep on top of their subcontractors which is not a minor feet these days. I would also like to thank Mr. Berrera and Able which were two of the sub contractors. They did excellent detailed worked on everything they touched and were very courteous and helpful.

The crew at Pure did an incredible job. Excellent assessment, great help with the insurance company, terrific customer service at each step. Multiple visits and consultations to work out the tricky parts. And when it came to the day of the work, they showed up with 15 guys at 5:30am and had it done by 1:00pm -- it was amazing to watch. Absolute hustle. Everything was immaculate after, including dragging all of the nearby turf and access points with magnets to collect any loose nails. Great service throughout. I am not in the habit of writing glowing reviews but I gotta say, these folks did an amazing job. I'll hire them again when my house needs a new roof.

I'm usually skeptical when a company has a perfect 5-star rating (check the Google ratings, too), but if the job they did for me is any indication, they've worked hard to earn every star. My rental property in Alexandria got hit with back-to-back storms, and my tenant texted that a man named Jesse knocked on the door to offer free roof inspection services. Yes, someone knocking on the door usually raises a flag for me, but I checked out their website and thought, "Why not?" Within a week, Jesse met with an inspector from my insurance company (USAA), and Jennifer from the office sent the proposal to them. Billy (company owner) and I met online to get all the contract details in order, Melissa coordinated a date with my tenant, and when the day came, the Pure Roofing Team replaced the roof in one day. The tenant reported that the roof looks fantastic and that the clean-up was impeccable. The team made everything so seamless and easy; the hardest thing I had to do was pick out the tile color. Their quality work just upped the value of my property, and the best part: I only had to pay the deductible! You'll see a lot of the other reviews state how customer-oriented this company is and how happy they are with the work they did - I definitely am, and I think you will be, too!

Would certainly not recommend this company! Got several other estimates from other roofing companies and their sales reps were all very nice and respectful....nothing like this guy was. Would never hire a company with a sales rep that tried to intimidate me!

Their estimator came out and intently listened, laid out our options, and made sure we were all on the same page. He was honest and transparent about what could be done, what couldn't be done, and ultimately provided a very detailed, fair estimate. He was there when the crew arrived on the first day, and again took pains to ensure everyone was on the same page. The crew was respectful of the home, clean, efficient, and polite and friendly when we had to interact with them. The project manager visited the job each day and liaised between us and the crew, as opportunities for clarification arose. The crew's work was just as detailed and fastidious as the estimate, and everything they worked on, from the siding replacement to the exterior house painting and gutter replacement, went very smoothly. The end result exceeded our expectations, especially as the house is 70 years old with additions and oddly placed utilities and "old house things" that can make it challenging to work on. They took it all in stride and banged out some fabulous work, though! The house looks better than I've ever seen it. People keep noticing too, as we have been getting frequent requests to share Orions info with visitors who see their recent work during their visits. We will definitely work with Orion again!

The good: Reasonably Priced and Decent Sales team…read more The bad: Zero project management or follow through. In March I contracted with Orion Home Improvements to demolish and build a new deck. They failed to anticipate a new plat was needed and had promised no permits were required, as they would simply be replacing old footings. Both things proved untrue and we spent another 2 months obtaining the required permits. During that time Orion was not communicating and I had to call they every week for a check-in. May 3rd arrives and materials are delivered, a dumpster is dropped, and workers arrive. First two days run fairly smoothly with demolition. Day 3 is a half day, 0930-1230, "we are waiting for the permit", meanwhile the demolition is not complete and the dumpster is not filled, debris is piled in the yard. Once the the first permit comes in, the process is 3 more weeks with 1-3 workers per day, working 3 to 6 hours per day. Nobody communicates when they are coming or going, they just sort of show up. Three total weeks later a beautiful deck. Final permit/inspection is cancelled and another week goes by to get everything approved. Bottom line: Orion Home Improvement is unreliable and I will not be working with them again.
