Troy and David served my family well on an insurance claim that led to replacement of roof, gutters, downspouts, vinyl siding, shutters and a sliding screen door. Quality craftsmanship and premium materials show throughout the finished remodel of the exterior of the townhouse - applied name brand premium materials that are highly rated on Consumer Reports Magazine Certainteed Vinyl Siding and Soffit, Tyvek House Wrap and Rigid Foam Paneling and GAF Architectural roofing shingles. Of the dozen companies my wife spoke with over telephone, we observed Skyfall Exteriors to have completed the most thoroughly documented assessment of the five companies who actually conducted an on-site assessment. Of course, COVID-19 supply chain disruptions and insurance adjusters' COVID precautions delayed material supply lead times and claims process. Insurer confirmed that Skyfall Exteriors submitted pictures, explanation and estimates to their online workflow thereby alleviating drudgery for my wife and I. Suggestion: Find your contractor. Don't find yourself in a situation where the contractor found you by canvassing your neighborhood. read more

Skyfall Exteriors started with good customer service. However, they ordered the wrong size window for my home. They needed to order a new one to complete the work, which started in October 2023. This should have taken six weeks tops. However, they got sidetracked by other customers during the fall. They eventually got back to completing the home repair in December. I remitted insurance proceeds promptly, as requested. First, with an initial deposit of over $3K, and upon completion, a check was sent for over $16K at the end of December upon completion of the work. Upon receipt of the $16K check, they demanded the remaining balance of just over $1K be immediately remitted. I requested that they please send me an invoice summarizing the work completed. They did so by emailing it to me on 1/23/2024. The invoice was back-dated to 12/29/2023. Upon my acknowledgment of receiving the invoice, they demanded payment immediately. I advised them that I would pay net 30 days [from the invoice date]. They texted me. They emailed me. They called me. On the call, they pointed out that their contract required immediate payment. I had lost familiarity with the contract's fine print since four months had passed since I signed the contract for them to start work. They texted me again, stating that I had 48 hours to pay. I could not order a check from my bank online and remit it quickly. Nevertheless, payment was made net 30 from the invoice back date, with the final payment paid for the $1K+ on 1/26/2024. The bottom line is that this company is not worth the hassle. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Their over-the-top aggressiveness in collecting a final payment less than 24 hours after sending an invoice, with repeated harassment, raises my concern. Either someone was overly eager to get their commission check, and/or the company's financial viability may be questioned. read more

I needed my sidings replaced due to hail damage. Worked with Bryan who helped me with the insurance claim process. From start to finish, Bryan was very helpful and responsive. Had a few minor hiccups during the replacement but Bryan was quick to address any issues I raised. At the end of the day, the siding replacement was completed satisfactorily and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Bryan. I discovered SkyFall through my parents who also had a full roof replacement. I really enjoyed working with Kobe. I appreciated his hard work with ensuring he had all documentation and pictures that were required to submit to my insurance company after the insurance adjuster came and didn't do a thorough job with giving an accurate estimate for repairs. With Kobe's help and persistence, we were approved for a full roof replacement. Due to unforeseen weather conditions, we came across a few issues during the roof replacement but David (Kobe's senior partner in the company) was able to mitigate further damage and ensure all repairs were done successfully. I'm happy I went with the upgraded architectural (Landmark Pro) shingles, as they are heavy duty and will be able to withstand the crazy weather in Northern Virginia. read more

Bryan is amazing. Always available, honest, clear and very easy to work with. Thorough inspection at the beginning helped a great deal. Bryan worked with us through several insurance delays, weather delays, HOA delays etc. Excellent experience. Got an architectural roof at a great price. STAY AWAY! Using Skyfall Exteriors was an absolute nightmare. Somehow they found out about my insurance claim I filed with USAA. It was to fix a leak in the master bedroom at my rental house. I believe they got my information from a rogue USAA employee. They showed up from 2 hours away with the insurance adjuster and that's when the nightmare began. Within 5 minutes of talking to their sales guy I got the feeling something was just not right. They were extremely confident they could get as a new roof approved plus a lot of other work. At first they painted a pretty picture of handling everything and communicating with the insurance company to make sure all work was approved. That was just not the case.Skyfall tried to use us as a middle man to negotiate the most overpriced and outrageous roof repair plus interior work (which they don't even do). They refused to tell us how much anything would cost and one employee actually said "we charge what we can get out of your insurance company". That's when we realized how scummy of a company this was. They ended up doing our roof and looked awful. I immediately had another roofing company come inspect it. They told us they used cheap materials. They put a ridge vent on to jack up our cost and we shouldn't have one because we don't have ventilated soffits. The worst part was the brand new roof had a massive leak. We didn't notice it till I was over there while it started raining and water started dripping into our bathroom we have gutted. We told them how skyfall is charging 15,000 and they were shocked. They told us going rate for our roof was 7-8k tops. We called USAA and told them the situation and they said they did not send skyfall to us and they are sorry that their insurance adjuster gave them our info. They also told us that skyfall refused to send in the correct paperwork to get the job finalized and they haven't approved anything they did. Mean while, skyfall is hounding my son demanding the payment saying they have talked to USAA. Which just was not true. They did the roof in April and USAA did not approve it till august. They called at least 200 times claiming USAA approved it and check should be there any day. Over and over. USAA said to ignore them until further notice. They ended up charging over 15k and they also tried the plywood scam that other reviews are complaining about. For some reason they kept telling us USAA won't pay for the plywood repair and we owed them something crazy out of pocket. Again, that was just not the case. Also, told us USAA wouldn't repair the back wall were the leak had destroyed it and gave us an overpriced quote to pay out of pocket. That was another lie. USAA covered that to be fixed as well. This company tries to get their foot in the door on insurance claims and do the bare minimum and charge an insane amount of money. On top of that they do not do good work. If they did they wouldn't be chasing insurance claims around. Their forms of communication are absurd. They will call You multiple times in a row. They don't respond to emails and then they email you a week later asking why you haven't responded to their emails. Nothing but scam type behavior from this company. Huge mistake using this company but I blame USAA for leaking our information to them. So, if you file an insurance claim and for some weird reason skyfall exterior shows up do not be fooled. Use your own company and do not fall for their antics. read more

Our home lost some siding during the tornado and we were panicking on what to do (first time homebuyers). We were recommended to Skyfall Exteriors by out contractor, who we trust implicitly. We were not disappointed! Troy came over as soon as we called since he knew it would rain all week and cause further damage. He took the time to walk us through the repair and insurance process. He was incredibly patient with our questions and was honest. He even took pictures and educated us further on the damage and best practices to prevent water and wind damage in the future. You can easily tell he takes pride in his work. We are so grateful for his assistance and guidance under such short notice!
