View is amazing. The rotating lounge ensures everyone gets the beautiful view regardless of where you sit. The food was pretty good. The drinks were not good and the service was SLOW! The price is HIGH because you are paying for the incredible view.

I can't believe it took us so long to find this place! A friend and I came here for Arlingtons restaurant week ($65 pp/3 courses) and absolutely loved the food and the beautiful view. We had a reservation but we did still have a wait, and it would have been longer if we wanted to wait for a window seat but that was mainly due to other customers taking their time which they can't really control. When we were seated, our waiter was very kind and attentive. We were both blown away by the food, we got the little gem salad and crab arancini for the 1st course, roasted chicken and petit filet mignon for the 2nd course, and the apple tart and espresso chocolate mousse for the 3rd course and everything was delicious. We didn't get any drinks this time, but their cocktail list was diverse and I'd be interested in getting something next time. Parking is a little confusing as they need to give you a card so you don't need to pay and the hotel itself is a little older but all in all, a great find!

Got recommended to come here. It has such a nice view. You can walk in and they have a bar that you can go to just to get drinks. After we got our drinks, they are about to close and we asked if we can sit at the tables. The staff say us in an inside table. We ended up ordering some fries and drinks. The waiter was super nice. I he was busy running around so my water did take a while to come. But the view made the wait unnoticeable.

The waiters were very nice and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful, with a unique setup, though the seating area felt a little crowded. As the inner section rotated, I noticed it was even a bit challenging for the staff to get through. Still, the overall setting was relaxing, especially with the stunning night view. For food, we ordered the shrimp pasta, which was delicious, everyone really enjoyed it. The salmon was also tender and flavorful. I ordered the ribeye, which interestingly came as two smaller cuts instead of one big slab (not sure if that's how they serve it), but it was cooked just the way I like, medium. The dish came with classic sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus, and I loved it. Service could have been a little sharper at times, but the staff were genuinely kind and not snobby at all. We forgot to ask if Skydome validates parking, but overall, it was a fun restaurant to experience, definitely worth trying at least once! I forgot to take a picture of the salmon and shrimp pasta dish.

Not a bad place if you are staying in the Double Tree Hotel because the view is great and the overall vibe is relaxing. The food was not spectacular, but I went here for the experience which was pleasant. I would definitely go again. I would recommend doing a reservation online to avoid the possible wait times during dinner hours.

4 Overall (3 food & 5 views) View is great and navigating to the Skydome is an adventure itself (multiple elevators). Overlooks the pentagon, DC, DCA. It is expensive and the food is not great. I think the drinks and dessert were fine. Service was fine. It's funny - although tables are typically numbered in restaurants, you can actually see the table numbers here (given the rotating it would be impossible otherwise). There was a very small bar that 2 people were sitting at that wasn't rotating.

This was my very first time dining at the Skydome and it certainly won't be the last. It has the BEST panoramic views of the DC skyline. We had reservation and we were sat right down. The hostess and our server Adil provided excellent service. The cocktails along with the Brussels sprouts and their flat bread was delicious. Everything was cooked fresh and plated nicely. This place gives you an exceptional experience.

We were looking for some place special to celebrate our anniversary and this fit the bill perfectly. All of the food was well prepared and tasty. Service was great. View was spectacular! We were not rushed out and got to experience 2 full rotations. Our reservation was at 7:00pm so we could enjoy the view during daylight and the sunset into the evening to see everything lit up. Wanted to get the crème brûlée but they ran out but chocolate mousse was good. We had the crab dip which had the best bread to go with it. Also had the salmon and the pasta entrees. Salmon was cooked perfectly.

The fact that this is only 4 stars is on me, because both times I went to Skydome was right around the time of last call and haven't been able to savor their full menu. Reading it, the Americana classics menu runs the gamut from pasta & burgers to steak, along with a solid selection of sides. Similarly the cocktail menu. A 5-star experience starts with their bar staff, who even though I arrived two milliseconds before last call still made a couple of great cocktails. The excellence extends into the panoramic view of DC. If the night is close to full moon - even better! My drinks were their "Sunset Sipper", a smooth nightcap consisting of rum (my substitution), grapefruit juice, elderflower liqueur, honey syrup, and orange bitters. It was blended just right to unwind and have a smooth redeye flight back. Their Malibu Room Orange Bloom was another excellent cocktail. I look forward to returning soon!

Flavor was tasty. Still. It landed more decent than memorable. Like a hotel-bar version of Philly energy. Respectable. Not dangerous. Not the thing you chase across town. The burger was decent. Straight down the middle. No big swing. No real miss. It had that familiar lobby-restaurant comfort where you know exactly what you are getting before it hits the table. Solid enough for hunger. Not enough for a speech. Background character food with main-character service nearby. The fries were ehhh. Warm filler energy. They did not ruin anything. They also did not bring much to the table. Needed more crisp. More salt. More reason. Fries should have a little attitude. These were just present. The coffee save was the moment. They ran out of cold brew and the bartender still found a way. Improvised. Built something with what he had. And it worked. That matters. That is hospitality with hands. Not excuses. Not "we're out." More like "I got you." Very rare. Very noticed. They were understaffed. You could feel it. But the bartender carried the room. Recs ready. Ideas ready. Actually gauged our tastebuds instead of throwing out random menu items. He made the place better than the food. I would come back just for him. No question. The vibe is hotel restaurant meets lobby bar. Clean. Easy. A little mid on the plate. Much stronger at the counter. Service took a regular meal and gave it a reason to exist. it's giving... Ted Lasso behind the bar saving brunch.

Dear reader, The…read moreCenturion Lounge at DCA is a very civilised way to begin a trip and, in my view, one of the more enjoyable airport lounges to spend time in. A number of recent reviews praise the lounge for its attractive design, comfortable seating, strong food and drink program, and thoughtful amenities, and that all feels quite fair. It is in Terminal 2 near the south security checkpoint, and the lounge's own materials describe it as a spacious, elegant place to relax, refresh, and have a cocktail before a flight. What I especially love are the wellness shots, the coffee machines, and the open bar. Those little wellness shots feel like the sort of optimistic airport decision one ought to make before boarding, and the coffee setup is genuinely excellent if one needs to become a person again before takeoff. The bar is also a very strong point in its favour. American Express highlights its curated cocktail, wine, and non-alcoholic drink selection, and that polish absolutely comes through. Everyone is also very nice, which makes a difference. Add in the comfortable atmosphere and the feeling that you can actually pause for a moment before flying, and it all makes for a thoroughly pleasant pre-flight ritual. A proper little oasis at DCA.

The lounges that I've been to have been because of travel companions. The Amex Lounge was no different! My sweet friend booked breakfast in Arlington, the Pentagon area that is what he said. When my uber picked me up, the app said I was heading to the Amex Lounge at the airport. I laughed because I thought I was eating at the airport and airport food isn't always the best. I thought our weekend was starting off odd. But I don't complain and go with the flow, so if you like it, I love it. I had my bags because we always do staycations, so with my bag in tow he meets me at the uber upon drop-off and says our dinner reservations are in Florida, hope you don't mind that's why I had you pack your bags. What a surprise. He says we have time to go to the Amex lounge to grab breakfast before we take off. I am speechless, literally speechless. We grab our tickets and head straight to the lounge. Wow! Okay so I've been to the Capital One Lounge and that was great but honestly AMEX is killing it! The food was actually really good! Bar is awesome! Everything was clean! It's newer so it's phenomenal! I've been told I need lounge access for as much as I travel. I immediately got on my phone to search to get the AMEX card, that's how nice this place was. Luckily he asked what I was doing on my phone. I said I need to be able to come here all year long so I'm going to throw the flag in and get a card. He laughed and said it would be easier just to add me to his account. And just like that, I'm a AMEX card holder! The card came in 3 business days. I'll be coming to this airport early! And will be looking forward to traveling this year to visit all the AMEX lounges. Amex is the way to go! Oh and a little life hack, our plan never works. Gods plan does! Grateful.
