I am extremely disappointed with the service and management at SkyZone during my nephew's birthday celebration. Due to internal scheduling issues, our party room was provided later than promised; however, despite starting late, staff entered the room early and began cleaning before our allotted time had ended, cutting the celebration short. This demonstrated poor management, lack of coordination, and insufficient staff training. Unfortunately, the situation escalated when the manager ( a young guy which I didn't even get his name but for sure call today and figure that out)intervened in an unprofessional and unacceptable manner. Instead of calmly resolving the issue, he was rude, aggressive, and raised his voice, even threatening to call the police--behavior that is completely inappropriate, especially during a children's birthday party. Several guests were embarrassed, and most concerning, the children--including my nephew--were visibly upset and frightened by the confrontation. A manager should demonstrate maturity, professionalism, and de-escalation skills, particularly when guests are rightfully frustrated after paying for a service that was not delivered as promised. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered, and I will not be returning. I strongly believe this incident reflects serious leadership issues that should be addressed. I wanna even contact the owner of this company thats how upset they made us feel. It was my nephew's birthday party at Sky Zone and the experience was completely unacceptable and disappointing. Our reserved party room was given to us later than the time promised, and despite that delay, we were then asked to leave earlier than our scheduled time, which makes no sense considering we already lost time. To make matters worse, a very unprofessional staff member who was minor as well came to our room without permission and started "cleaning up" and threw away our personal bags without permission. This was shocking and disrespectful. When we complained about that she started to make a false claim about being hurt by the party host, which never happened and it was a big lie. Then two other staff came in and instead of handling the situation calmly or professionally, and instead of apologizing, one rude manager approached us yelling and aggressively told us to leave, threatening to call the police. This was extremely inappropriate, especially at a children's birthday party. As a result, the kids attending the party, especially the birthday boy became stressed, scared, and emotionally upset. What was supposed to be a fun celebration turned into a frightening experience, and their special day was completely ruined with a very negative memory. Plus the facility ( specially our reserved room and the restrooms) were VERY dirty. For the high cost, this experience was not worth it at all. Between the poor organization, lack of respect, false accusations, and hostile management, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. My son's birthday party at Sky Zone Van Nuys was booked from 1:15 PM to 4:15 PM (3 hours). Prior to the event, I received two phone calls instructing me to arrive 30 minutes early (12:45 PM) to set up. I arrived around 1:00 PM, only to be told by the manager that the party room was not ready and that my guests, including children, had to wait outside. We were not allowed into the room until around 1:40 PM, significantly cutting into the party time we paid for. Despite losing time due to Sky Zone's delay, I was still told we must leave the room by 4:15 PM, with no adjustment or compensation. Around 4:00 PM, while we were still in the room and before our scheduled end time, several untrained teenage staff members entered without any notice and began cleaning. During this process, they threw away our packed food without permission. When we questioned why staff were cleaning early, our party host searched through the trash for the missing item, then left the room and shifted blame onto us instead of taking responsibility. Shortly afterward, an unknown male staff member arrived with a female manager and began yelling at me aggressively, refusing to let me explain. His behavior was hostile, intimidating, and completely inappropriate--especially in front of children. My brother intervened only because the staff member was yelling at me, and the staff member then told my brother to "get out." In addition, items that were included in our paid party package were never provided. We did not receive the water bottles or the stickers that were supposed to be included, and no one addressed or corrected this oversight. This entire situation caused my son and the other children to become frightened and upset, and they said they did not want to return. I contacted Sky Zone multiple times afterward to request the name of the aggressive male staff member, but management claimed they did not know who he was, which raises serious concerns about accountability. I will note that the female manager was polite and professional, but the overall handling of this event was unacceptable. Corporate management should be aware of: Party room not ready on time Loss of paid party time with no compensation Unauthorized disposal of food and personal property Missing party package items (water bottles and stickers) Aggressive and inappropriate staff behavior Lack of accountability and follow-up Until serious improvements are made in management oversight and staff training, I strongly advise against booking birthday parties at Sky Zone Van Nuys. read more

No longer fun for drop offs only for subscribers and groups. I realize that they make most their money off groups and their new subscription plan. However this used to be a really fun experience for beating the summer heat on a whim. Today after waiting for an hour to get in we just left. My kid asked if we could go and I thought it would be a great thing to do. Got there at 11 and it's closed for a public event till 12, no big whatever, so we went to a nearby mall and killed an hour got back and it was now open. Wait a little bit because the members take precedence when I found I need to update my waiver. Step out of line and update via phone (cause you can no longer do it at the desk). And BAM a summer camp comes. There are 4 open registers and they have stopped serving anyone but the camp so we patiently wait for the camp to get checked in. 30 minutes in the camp is still not checked in but some body has the sense that hey we have to open at least one line for the drop ins and now the membership line is backed out the door. I ask since we had been here for 40 minutes (technically we have been waiting for 2 hours at this point, if it is possible to get checked in they say they have to give priority to the members. My kid is being patient but at this point the whim is gone so we left. The staff were very gracious but clearly they have the directive that drop ins are not where they make their money so they shouldn't be treated as valuable to them. read more

I came in expecting a fun night with my friends but I left hatecrimed. Think I'm exaggerating? Keep reading. I not even glance over one of the kids playing and automatically I hear "what are you looking at dyke." I turned around but didnt think much of it because he seemed like a young kid who wouldnt know any better and I get called this all the time but I still had a weird feeling. I continued on about my night enjoying my time with my friends until they walk by again and start saying more slurs at me. At this point one of his friends (mind you he was with a group of about 5 guys all grown) starts stepping towards me clutching his pants as if he's gonna fight me. No workers stood up to stop this so I took it upon myself to find a manager but when I asked one of the workers to take me to the manager he was very unhelpful and just brushed it off and walked away after telling me "he's somewhere in the front" I believe his name was Alex. When I finally found a manager (Nestor) and told him what was happening he seemed very helpful at first acting as if he was going to kick them out. I went about my night and started enjoying my time until I see these kids who were "kicked out" start going to play dodgeball. Fed up, I ask the manager for a refund as I will not support a business that allows homophobia and doesnt support an inclusive and safe environment for all, especially when its a place where you go to have fun. I asked the manager for his higher ups name or number to which he responds "we dont have a corporate number." Weird?! Once I got my refund I ask if they can send someone to walk me to my car, scared that this group of boys will be waiting for me outside and he claims they "arent liable for anything that happens outside of the premises." I understand why that would make sense but if you know someone is being threatened inside your establishment you would think you would be more supportive and helpful. Eventually he got two guys to walk us out and they were actually very nice and apologetic and kept saying how they were sorry for how our night went. Josue was also very nice and helpful so I wish I could be writing a 5 star with his name but unfortunately the night ended this badly. I felt like I was the one being kicked out just for being me and literally being called slurs but I felt I had to leave for my own safety. This isnt just a single occurance either, almost everytime I've been to a sky zone I've been the one having to leave to avoid problems and homophobia. I always used to love this place as a kid but the more I've grown and become more openly queer the more problems I've experienced without any consequences for the one saying this stuff to me. I hope in the future this establishment can become more inclusive for lgbtq people and women but at this point it seems its only a safe space for boys who like to bully others. read more

Not impressed at all. Arrive 30 mins before party, parking is bad!!! Very disorganized Go to check in for private party, it's a MAD HOUSE. They asked us to give our party supplies to host at counter, no one ever arrived. Everyone had to go behind counter and place items which would be fine if that was told in the first place. Placing a good order was chaotic, not at all the staffs fault seemed they were short staffed but for the 45 mins waiting in one, not one did we see mgmt to assist. They ran out of pizza and we were not told until we went to check again, no mgmt in sight. I will mention the staff there was trying their best everyone at least was being understanding but WHERE IS THE MGMT??? Bathroom downstairs men's and women's dirty, only one stall working in women's. And if the customer experience was better, I would have honestly considered signing up again. BEWARE OF THE MEMBERSHIP. They make it frustratingly difficult to cancel it once your card is linked to it. And forget about trying to reach a live representative. Came here for a kid's birthday party. This place is, in a word, chaotic. When arriving, the parking lot is chaos. Parking across the street says "no parking" but tons of cars park there. We didn't want to risk it so parked a health walk away. Entering the building, there was a line. Why, I do not know. When we got in, the parents of the bday girl were trying to corral all guests so we could go upstairs together to check in. It didn't seem like much help was provided from the staff for birthday parties. Once checked in, the kids go to jump. There are about 10 birthday parties happening at the same time, plus kids of just come to play so there are TONS of people. Not all sections were working. After 2 hours of jumping, we went to one of the rooms and the kids had pizzas and drinks. This was better since it was our own room with a balcony overlooking the chaos, but still loud. Today was my son's birthday, and we, along with our family, had reserved a room at Sky Zone from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Due to poor management, the room wasn't ready, and we only got it at 1:30. We had paid for three hours, so we should have stayed until 4:30. Instead, at 4:00, two untrained teenage girls rushed to clear our tables while we were packing food to take home. Without asking, they threw two large packages into the trash, just wanting to clean quickly. When we protested, one girl left and complained to management. Rather than compensating for the delay or the mistake, management defended the staff. They argued in front of our children, threatened us, and even pretended to call the police. We left calmly, but I must say this place is absolutely not suitable for families. You may have read other complaints; this staff is unfit. I strongly advise families to go where there is calm, safety, trained staff, and honest management. Also, be sure to read the reviews other families have posted about this venue. There is no way a place with good staff could have such a volume of negative feedback from so many different people. This shows the extremely poor and incompetent management, as well as staff who only care about money without responsibility, service, or honesty. Therefore, this place is completely untrustworthy. This is not the place. It took us 45 minutes just to locate parking today, but it's always a hard thing to find when coming to Skyzone. Save your money. The games do not work half the time and the place is poorly taken care off. From the minute you walk in it just looks filthy. Looks unsanitary every visit we've been here. Every time we come we say it will be the last, but we were invited to. Birthday party, so we went. Today was the last time we will visit this establishment as our grandma had her car towed. Yup you heard that right after looking for parking forever our poor grandma had cars towed because they said it was employee parking , but there was no sign on her stall. So not only did we spend money inside now we have to help her pay the $300 bucks to get the car back since she's retired and when we called the towing said they were closed. Second review! Came in and didn't know it was Glow Night/Day so we had to purchase special shirts. Associate said I can bring them the next glow event and not have to repurchase shirts. It was fun to see all the glowing colors but of course it's super dark in every area of the trampoline park except the arcade maybe making things slightly more dangerous. My daughter hurt herself a couple times and an associate did check on us which was nice. If you are bringing younger elem school children, be careful on EVERYTHING in EVERY zone!!! Yikes. Zip line was not open when we went which was a total bummer! I appreciated the coin machine by the arcade the most! My son was here for a birthday party last year. He was nine at the time. Adults are allowed to hot dog around the kids, flipping and flying around with little care regarding where the younger ones are trying to enjoy themselves. My son had an adult jump on top of him and we needed up in the ER for the rest of the night dealing with severe whiplash. I know that people jump at their own risk here, but there should be SOME attempt by staff to keep people from being idiots. read more

This place is shady! My car was towed from their property yesterday. I found out they they have some kind of deal with keystone towing, where they can just drive around and tow whatever car they want. I was supposedly parking in "employee parking", which their was no signage where I was parked. The business has to be getting kick backs to allow this, the tow truck driver told me he took about 10 cars within that hour. And the receptionist at keystone told me that every weekend, it's a free for all at this location. It was my intention to write a great review once my children's birthday was over. From the online video and description, Sky Zone depicted that the party would be stress-free and hassle-free. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Upon arrival, I was not greeted by any staff member. I went to the main check-in area and was directed upstairs for the party check-in, but no one guided me through the next steps. My group had to wait longer because there were several other groups checking in at the same time. We clearly were just a number. To add to the stress, my group had to wait longer than expected because the internet wasn't working to process my payment -- even though I had offered to prepay beforehand to avoid this exact situation. Allowing prepayment would have made the experience much less stressful, not just for me, but for all the other parents hosting parties at the same time. It was absolute chaos. I was never introduced to my party assistant; I had to find a cart myself and even had to ask a different staff member to help put my children's cake away. Eventually, I found the person assigned to assist us. She truly tried her best, and I can't fault her efforts -- but she was clearly overwhelmed. For larger parties, there should absolutely be two or three assistants to make things run smoothly. That's why I chose Sky Zone -- to not have to manage everything myself. Additionally, our group did not have a private jumping area. We were mixed in with the general public, which made it extremely difficult to gather the kids when it was time to move upstairs. Our party was never announced, and I only managed to keep the party on schedule by checking the time constantly myself. When we got to the room, it wasn't fully set up. My children's names weren't on the birthday board, which gave the impression that Sky Zone had simply overbooked and couldn't keep up. Once seated, there were only two pizzas ready despite my advance order for ten. I had to go hunt someone down to retrieve the rest of the pizzas and the food I had brought in, which cut into our one-hour time slot by 20-25 minutes. Because everything was rushed, the children barely had time to eat before it was cake time -- and most of them were too full or overwhelmed to enjoy it. In my opinion, Sky Zone should: * Designate parking for party hosts. * Greet party hosts at the front door and assign a clear guide immediately. * Keep party jump areas separate from general public jumping. * Staff more assistants for large parties. * Ensure rooms are fully set up and food orders are ready when the party arrives. By the end, I was so frustrated that I couldn't even go over the final bill properly. I want to make it clear that the money was not the issue -- I am happy to pay a premium for a well-run, organized, and enjoyable event. The staff tried, but they were very young and clearly lacked support and leadership. There was no general manager present, and the acting manager was also very young and seemed unequipped to handle problems. I hope this review helps anyone planning a party at Sky Zone. Perhaps it was just this location, but sadly, this was our first and likely our last Sky Zone ****** update******** I contacted Sky Zone Via directions below from the respondent.
