Dirty table and floor in party room prior to us setting up.
Vanessa A.

Where to begin...my husband made a birthday party reservation for our son's 7th birthday. Had it not been for the screenshots of reservation confirmation he wouldn't have had any information as the system never emailed him confirmation. Unlike previous years of having events here nobody called us prior to go over our package, what's included and if we'd like to purchase extras, my husband was the one making the call. Once at the venue all of the staff was bunched up in front standing around while the lines for party check in grew. Our host Erik was almost always hiding in the back when we had someone arrive which was irritating as it made no sense why he needed to be the one to check in our guests and assigned paper wristbands. He had no guest list, so what's the point?! Also, if it's him who needed to sign our guests in why not require him to remain at the counter for party check in? Anyway, every kid was mega disappointed to find none of the vending machines working and half of the arcade games out of order. The time frame we booked was definitely overbooked as no rolling cart was available until halfway through the party and I had to point out to Erik that more than one cart was empty and had been empty since we arrived. The party room was not clean. The promised party package items of refillable guest water bottles/tattoos for attendees and birthday kid t-shirt weren't available. This place has seriously gone down hill. Worst of all a parent in our group was told by staff he threatened someone. At no point did anyone in our party threaten or talk to anyone in a disrespectful manner. I will no longer be visiting or supporting this business. My husband is not the type to discuss and confront these issues and unfortunately I was busy with two small children when he closed out the party fees. This place doesn't fit the bill. Look elsewhere for a clean and more helpful establishment to host your kids next birthday party.

Saterday night SPECIAL $20.00 for 2 hour jump time Saturday night fun with the grandkids, what better place than rock n jump for them to run around jump and get all that energy out. Came in on a Saturday night and found out about their Saturday night special which is a two hour jump time for $20. That's a good deal because you're basically paying $10 an hour and the regular price is $17 per hour. Arcade area is now using game cards where you purchase a card you put money on it and then you swipe it in the games to play. This was cool because we got three cards and gave each one their own card for them to play video games. There weren't too many games available there was a Jurassic Park a motorcycle game and a couple of boxes where you can collect the prize, and your popular air hockey.

Broken edge covered with cardboard and duct tape- bolts sticking out.

We've been here before for bday parties but this place seems to be going downhill. It appears to be in between owners: sky zone. It was Saturday (12:30) we came in. 2 of the 3 waiver kiosks were down. It's clear that the teenagers who work there don't care and just want a pay check. No one watching the under 6 area as kids older elementary up were barreling through endangering little kids. No one was watching most of the areas and one employee (Allie H) looked as if her life was the worst and seemed to be babysitting/working. There was broken equipment with bolts sticking out. While the kids have fun, it is a parents emergency room and insurance nightmare. Unless the new owners/company improve it, not sure we will be back.

Rip off!

Got here early and the place was filthy... My son won and cleared the $50 gift card and the employees told me that they couldn't give him the card because they didn't own the machine. They said that I needed to call the number on the machine, of course no answer and voicemail full. Such a rip off!

Same song played for 90 minutes straight and most attractions were closed. I told the employees and they tried to fix it but it just added two more songs to the mix. Went into the bathroom and there was a huge poop in the toilet. And to add we couldn't learn a backflip. It was not a great experience.

My daughter recently went to a birthday party and she absolutely loved it. My wife coordinated the booking and it was relatively smooth. When we arrived, the check in line process was a little shaky, there was three separate lines and the employees did not know the order in which to call people. There was a separate line for birthday check in's but not one dedicated person managing it. We were directed into a private room which was smaller than I anticipated given the headcount we had but it did the job. They allow you to arrive 15 min in advance to prep and they also allow you to bring outside food and snacks if you choose the MVP package. The MVP package made things easy as everything you would need is included including food, utensils, drinks, icees, arcade cards, no charge for outside food, socks, ect.. The venue was very big and has a wide variety of play areas that can cater any child. There are trampolines, sport courts, stunt jumps, battle beams, and a trapeze just to name a few. This place can keep your child occupied and engaged for hours. They also have a separate mini arcade area if your child wants to take a break. There is a center area where parents can hang out. This area is mixed in with other birthday parties. We also came on a Saturday which was pretty busy but I've heard that their Fridays are overly packed. Overall, my daughter and her friends had an amazing time. We also got a free pass to come back which I brought back my girls for another hour and half. They had an amazing time. I would highly recommend checking this place out for open play and/or birthday parties!

We were a little nervous beforehand about how everything would go with a big group of kids and adults, but it turned out really well. The kids had a blast, especially with the balloon drop -- it was such a fun moment and definitely one of the highlights of the party. I'd highly recommend adding it! One small suggestion: we ordered drinks for both the kids and adults in the party room, but water wasn't automatically provided. It would be great if pitchers of water could be set out by default, especially after all the running and jumping!

I ordered the food directly from their link, and spoke to someone the week before or the week of to confirm everything. They have the option for you to send and manage invites directly through their portal, but I would recommend against this because the email went to spam for like 90% of the invitees. I wouldn't have even noticed until a friend checked her spam folder and let me know. One bit of annoyance was that I noticed during the eating time that there were fewer pizzas than I expected, and when I asked a staff about it she went back to check with the kitchen and told me it was the correct amount of pizzas. I was too frazzled with everything at the time and didn't think to check my email with the order. The next day I checked my email and confirmed that they did miss a pizza so I eventually got a refund. All the kids had a great time with the bouncy houses. There's a bit of options if your kid isn't into bouncy stuff, like foam blocks and a rock climbing wall. Though you are moved to 2 different rooms, the transition process was pretty seamless. Food can only be ordered through the venue, but all of it was really good. A lot of people commented on how good the pizza was, especially the spicy paneer. Overall this was a good place to host a birthday party and it'd be fun to come back as a guest. I don't care for fancy decorations/themes and prioritize less planning + having a fun place with good food for the kids, so Pump it Up is perfect for that. I really didn't have to put much effort into the planning process aside from deciding what to order.

I was nervous about bigger kids accidentally pushing my baby while running around, but it felt comfortable and manageable the whole time. The slides and play structures were really cool and my little one had such a fun time running around and exploring. I especially appreciated that they have a separate toddler/younger kids area which made it feel safer and less overwhelming. As a parent, I noticed the staff did a good job keeping things organized and the overall environment felt pretty clean. There were also plenty of places for parents to sit while still being able to watch their kids play, which I appreciated. But it's either my hubby, I, or the both of us with my baby the whole time. Parking was easy too and check-in was pretty smooth. I do wish the place was a little bigger, but I also understand indoor playgrounds are probably expensive to maintain and operate these days. I'm giving this place two stars for trying to create a fun safe space for kids…read more My boys are currently enjoying jumping on the various blow up slides/jump houses etc. however they are getting distracted by the plethora of arcade games which each cost .25-$1.00 to play. So plan on bringing extra cash on top of the $9.50 entrance fee. I get that they need to make a living with this place but the arcade games annoy me and my kids keep asking for more money to play but with 3-4 kids it gets expensive. Also there's this toddler jungle gym in the middle which takes up a lot of space. And supposedly only 5 years or younger can go on it but everyone is climbing through. I liked it better when the toddler area was in the back away from the main jump area. It created a safer space for little ones. Now that area is blocked off and looks like picnic tables are in there for parties or something. The toddler area in the middle also makes it really hard to see what's going on in the back jump areas where the seating area is. Also the bathrooms had barely any light, couldn't see anything and had to use my phone flashlight. The soap container was almost out of soap too. And there's random out of order games or equipment in side areas that are eyesores. There's also massage chairs that are for the adults around the perimeter and start beeping loudly if you sit in them and don't pay. With other seating being limited/occupied/or uncomfortable (brown couch I'm talking to you), it seems unnecessary to have all these pay by the minute massage chairs. We need a place like this in Watsonville but wish the area was a little less cluttered and the toddler area was back. Also time to change the awful mural outside and in the back areas.

So I was very happy to learn it was reopening under the Jump N Around name, a center in the Monterey area with exciting looking photos. I exchanged text messages with the management for a few weeks, and was told they were performing upgrades and would be open soon. Last week I got a text saying they would open on Saturday 3/18, followed by another saying just a few delays, but Sunday 3/19 at 2pm would be their grand opening. Well this being my birthday, my kids were beyond stoked - we get to go back to Pump'd and celebrate Daddy's birthday!!! They were buzzing with excitement - so happy! So that Sunday we planned our day around "the new Pump'd". At 11am I texted to make sure they would open at 2 and was told "Yes :)" Yes with a smile - hard to beat! So we loaded up the car and drove the 30 minutes down to Watsonville, kids totally buzzing with excitement - "Daddy, how far to new Pump'd?!?" Almost there, buddy! We arrived right at 2 to a totally empty, filthy parking lot. The door was locked and clearly had been abandoned for a while, as there was an overflowing dumpster, fresh homeless camp with bags of old clothes strewn about, and a pile of human feces - with a poop-smeared green sweater used to clean up - right in front of their main door. SOME GRAND OPENING!!! Looking through the door this was obviously not the place, right? The entry area was barren, old front desk ripped out with debris in its place. No tables, no chairs, nothing. I called their phone and got voicemail; texted asking for the new address and got no reply. Surely this LITERAL SH!THOLE was not the refurbished and improved Jump N Around we had been promised?!? A few minutes later the manager from the main location called to apologize...the owner had some story about staffing problems and they would now be opening on Friday. WHAT A BOGUS, HEARTLESS, NASTY THING TO DO, especially after confirming just hours earlier. This wasn't a case of the employee not showing up - the place is a freaking DUMP, an unfinished NIGHTMARE wreaking of death and desperation and smeared with human waste. What was once a joyous place of fun was now a deceitful pit of feces and FAILURE. My son was so disappointed he just cried and yelled. He was promised a birthday jump with his dad at his favorite place, and he arrived to a frightening sh!t-smeared lie of a dump. For minutes he pounded on the windows yelling "I HATE PUMPD! I HATE THE NEW PUMPD!!!" (Heartbreaking - he celebrated two birthdays here and associated The place with love and fun, not lies and sh!t.) His sister was more reflective - "DADDY, WHY DID THEY TRICK US? WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT TO US?" Also heartbroken, she took it more personally. Even more disconcerting is the view from the front window. Expecting the exciting play structures shown on the Jump N Around website - here we see none of that! Three old deflated bounce structures lay discarded on the ground. A new concessions area (?) looks half built, a rough pile of unfinished plywood. A few more outdated arcade machines have been shoved in among the debris, the only possible new addition. And there may have been a couple of new bounce houses, still folded on palettes. But it's painfully clear, like the pile of sh!t that greets at the front door, that the new owners haven't put a whit of effort, energy or concern into making the place fun, safe, better or even acceptable for their formerly loyal customers and their children. I am scared, very scared for this business. This was confirmed as their GRAND REOPENING, but instead of a fun center, they offer an abandoned dystopian hellscape. YOU LIED TO AND HURT MY CHILDREN. YOU RUINED MY BIRTHDAY. YOU HAVE TAKEN A WONDERFUL PLACE AND BEFOULED IT. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND ALL SHOULD BE WARNED. Hoping to salvage the day, we headed to MOD at the Capitola Mall. It was fun, until we could not leave due to a MURDER/SUICIDE IN OUR PARKING LOT! We should never have been there, if PUMPD/JUMP N AROUND HADN'T LIED ABOUT BEING OPEN! I'm very afraid of what's to come. If this is the honesty and effort the new owners are putting into the place, it will never be a healthy or happy place to take our kids. You can't even clean the sh!t off your doorstep or get your opening date right - can you be trusted? FOR SHAME.
