Came to Morgan Hill bowl on a Sunday night with the family. We were lucky to get here early before the crowd because the place did fill up. We did have a good time bowling and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We paid for two games and two pairs of shoes because most of us had bowling balls and shoes so we did not have to purchase. They have lots of lanes for accommodating large crowds of bowlers. I just wish that their snack bar and bar area would have been open to get some appetizers and drinks. You could get drinks, but you had to go to the window versus going into their lounge area and sitting down to enjoy your drink. read more

We had our daughter's birthday party here and Erica was fantastic!!! She said she was the manager and she went above and beyond my expectations. She was attentive, sweet and just all around wonderful! We never felt rushed, she kept us on track for the timeline of the party and ensured that we had everything we needed. I went here with my son a few weeks ago. We go to the counter to get a lane and rent shoes. The kid at the front counter rings me up and hands me a receipt to sign with an option for a tip. I am thinking, a tip to ring me up? Probably not but I'll write in cash and leave something before I leave if they do a good job. So then I go to get some bowling balls and hear the guy complaining to his coworker that I wrote in cash, so I tell him that I'll leave some cash if I feel it's warranted. The kid starts getting sarcastic, saying he will make sure I get a bunch of strikes and other sarcastic stuff. I go to my lane and the buttons are all broken and pins are already knocked down and there is some garbage left over there. Exact reason I don't tip until the end. It was a sunday afternoon and marked our 2 month mark of having moved to Morgan Hill. What a lovely surprise to find this bowling alley near us (also right near a Cineplex). The place is good, simple fun. It's clean, pleasant, aesthetically classic bowling alley-like with fun colors and good tunes happening over the speakers. Plenty of different weights for the bowling balls to choose from and fairly new-looking bowling shoes for rent. The cost is also nice and affordable. There's an arcade on the way in (unsure about whether it's part of the bowling alley or if it's separate), but they're connected and it seemed a fun place to hang out for a while another day. Extremely Disappointed - A Sad Example of Lack of Inclusion and Compassion I walked into Morgan Hill Bowl today with a longtime friend of mine who has autism and other developmental disabilities. We were both genuinely excited for a fun day of bowling. After paying for our shoes and games, I remembered that my friend needs bumpers in order to fully enjoy and participate in the game due to his condition. When I politely asked the front desk associate (who was being observed by the manager the entire time) if bumpers could be added to our lane, she told me that they only allow bumpers for children under 12, and that as adults, we were not eligible. I once again told her that we need bumpers to help us enjoy the game. Her response was dismissive and condescending: "You'll be fine, just hold your arm like you're talking on the phone and there you go." I reiterated our need for bumpers, but she continued to refuse, saying "All bumpers are unavailable anyway, and you guys aren't under 12." At this point, I was furious and had asked for a refund, explaining that we wouldn't be able to enjoy the game without this accommodation. Her response: "Seriously? You're leaving just because we won't give you bumpers?" Yes. We left. After receiving our refund, I asked my friend to wait while I spoke to the manager -- Jessica M (I believe that was her name). I asked if she was the manager, and she confirmed. She told me they can't give bumpers to adults because they get broken. I explained that my friend has autism and needs the bumpers. Only then -- after the fact -- did she say that she had told the employee she thought he might have special needs, and that in those cases, bumpers and even a discount would be allowed. At this point, I told her the issue isn't about a discount -- it's about inclusion and dignity. It was incredibly upsetting that they didn't try to assist or accommodate from the start. She said that they can't assume someone has a disability and that I should have disclosed that upfront. I explained that anyone who has worked with individuals with special needs knows you do not announce their disability in front of them -- it's disrespectful and can be harmful. Her response was a weak, "Yeah, sorry about that." I told her that the situation was handled terribly and that she should have stepped in the moment she realized what was happening. Unfortunately, she didn't. No one did. To clarify: If their policy is that bumpers are only for kids under 12 and individuals with disabilities, then that should be clearly communicated up front. Not everyone with a disability "looks" like they have one. Not everyone wants their diagnosis publicly stated just to be treated fairly. What happened today was cruel, unfair, and inhumane. Neither the manager nor the employee made any effort to help or accommodate. Instead, they embarrassed and excluded someone who simply wanted to enjoy a game of bowling like everyone else. To anyone reading this -- especially those with children or loved ones with developmental or cognitive differences -- please be aware. This establishment currently lacks the training, compassion, and policies to properly support all members of our community. I stood up for my friend today, and we made the best of the rest of our day together. But no one should have to experience this type of discrimination just to enjoy a simple, inclusive activity. Morgan Hill Bowl, Jessica m, and that front desk employee-- I sincerely hope this is a wake-up call and that you look at the world in a different way. We live in Gilroy and my family and i decided we wanted to have a family night on The price was kinda of high and the customer service was even terrible, especially the girl behind the desk. I came to Morgan Hill Bowl to get my bowling balls clean, so I didn't use the amenities there. The Pro Shop is the only one near the Monterey area (40 mile drive), but it was worth it. Came in about 945 on Halloween night. Online said they were open til 11. Work was INCREDIBLY rude saying to another group that he was "closing at 10" (seemed to be someone who either worked there or knew him as she even had to point out to him we were "actual customers")insinuating that he wouldn't help us or sell us a lane because he was "definitely closing at 10." There was people at lanes that had only done 3 rounds. Worker was very rude. Not even polite about the hours being incorrect online OR the fact it was close to closing. Didn't have high expectations as it's usually a mediocre time here. But that workers comments were just completely a dick move. Awful. Went on a Thursday night and was told that they are closed for the rest of the night because of league which starts at 6:20. I'm on a bowling league, which takes usually 3 hours give or take because it's ONLY 3 games! They are open until 11! Which would mean by 9:20, they should be finished. So there is no reason why the "current" manager, August, couldn't have accomadated us with at least ONE lane after league was done and before they closed. But she insisted they must oil the lanes which can be done during closing like every other bowling alley. Horrible customer service!!!!! I wish I could give them NO Stars! read more

I was so impressed with Sean Mamlok. in the Pro shop. He drilled the holes in my new ball perfectly. I then went to the lanes to try it out. The lane prices were so much more reasonable especially compared to Salinas Valley Lanes. Salinas you have to pay by the hour. Over $40 as I recall. Morgan Hill, it is by the game. $3 per game for Seniors during the daytime. All of the screens worked, again compared to Salinas where they don't. I also liked that the floor was on the same level as the lanes. So, I don't have to go up and down several steps with 2 heavy bowling balls. The lanes were better kept too. The only problem is I live in Salinas. It is about a 35 min. trip one way. However I am going to avoid Salinas Bowl whenever possible. read more

This place is pretty cool and a great spot to bring kids if you have any with you. The bowling alley is not so big but there are not usually many people bowling in the times that I have gone. The staff is friendly and helpful and that included the person that gives tickets and shoes, the person at the cocktail bar, and the person in the arcade. This place is also greatly located in an outlet area next to Safeway and can be easy to miss but it is the place in the corner. They have a big parking spot so it is easy to get in and outZ As mentioned above they have an arcade and cocktail bar. The cocktail bar they offer the usual cocktails and have everything. The arcade food place is open for limited times so check out what they are. The arcade is where most of the kids have their fun and they can win prizes too. My family and I stopped by on Saturday night, and we were able to immediately get a lane. The rental shoes, bowling balls, and lanes were well kept and clean. The lanes were properly waxed, and I was able to bowl a consistent game throughout the night. Service was quick too! When a ball got stuck in a gutter, there was someone to quickly help. The bowling TV scoreboard is simple and focused purely on bowling, which I like. Also, the lanes are customizable for each bowler by making a request with the front desk. We were able to get bumpers for the kids, and regular bowling without bumpers for the adults. I really liked the family atmosphere, and we had such a great time at the bowling alley. Excellent bowling venue! The atmosphere was so quiet and friendly, complemented whenever I got good throw down the lanes. The lanes are so clean. I scored my highest game ever of 171 and finally got a turkey. I got my own personalized bowling ball from the pro shop, and Shawn (Sean?) was so welcoming and thorough throughout the process. The New House Manager (Jessi Matts) has upgraded the Restroom facilities/ supper clean and took out the gross carpet as we all know that carpet doesn't last more than 2 yrs., The owner put in all NEW STATE OF THE ART WATERPROF FLOORING!!!!! I came here yesterday for the very first time for my nephews birthday party he wanted to do bowling in the lights dark I haven't been bowling for a very long time and I had a really great time our party host was very friendly very helpful made her experience really great made my nephews birthday party really awesome this is a very clean establishment very clean atmosphere they don't just have bowling they also have an arcade that you could play games if you don't want to bowl I was really impressed with how on top of it or party host was she was very efficient make sure that we had everything that we needed I don't live in Morgan Hill but my family and I made the trip for my nephews birthday we all have been bowling in so long so this was definitely a fun thing to do a fun way to celebrate my nephews birthday party his party also included pizza drinks and my sister made brownies since that's what my nephew wanted this is definitely a place for the whole family definitely a place for large groups they definitely have something for everybody I highly recommend this establishment for anybody looking to just go and have fun or have a birthday party they are great it was a great experience we had a great time I will definitely be coming back here again very soon next time I am in the area for more great experiences and more good times to come thank you Morgan Hill ball you guys are awesome see you again very soon thank you again for a great time :-) read more

Michael behind the counter was extremely rude, ignorant, and was unable to help us resolve our problem today. He was unable to discuss our problem and just went on about what he believed happened with their system cancelling our games we had just bought. Said he believed that's what happened and that's it. Games lost. Spent over $100 for half games. Michael tried playing us with some math, he believed happened in their system, was uncaring of what we had to say and did not help us whatsoever. Family friendly. Great prices. Had fun last night, only one thing. The bartender had to be drunk. Not a good drunk, a messy drunk. Couldn't keep up with the customers, couldn't remember people's orders. She was telling everyone she was sweating and had to pee and had no food in her. Then she lost her shit and told everyone to fuck off. I used to work in the service industry for 10+ years and to watch this women serve people I cringed for her. Yes it was busy yes it was the ninner game, but she should been on her A game. Not drunk. She should be fired. The new shift bartenders that came in at 6 were great so I know it's not the business. Orginially from Southern California and growing up with Java Lanes and Cal Bowl.... I would say that Morgan Hill Bowl is comparable. Moving up to the bay area, it's hard to find great bowling atmospheres that are affordable and fun. I love the bowling alley smell and the small town customer service you receive here. This bowling alley is adjacent to Betsey's which is a huge plus because you can get your food delivered to your bowling alley lane. Please take note that Betsey's is a breakfast and lunch spot and not a dinner spot. My husband and I like coming here on Sundays to take advantage of their $2 dollar games. We like getting two lanes and having them cross because we like taking bowling to another level. I have gone to the Strike Nights that occur later on in the night. This usually appeals to the younger crowd, families, and people who want to have a great night out. My husband and I like this experience, but enjoy bowling with the lights on so we can see the arrows. This bowling alley definitely tailors to many different people and age ranges. Kids loved all the video games and I only spent $50 on a game card for 6 kids and they played for well over a hour w/ remaining points left on card. Front desk young woman is always working and is very nice. When the lane gets stuck she normally notices and gets them fixed. She will even walk out and work on it herself. Now the bar is hit or miss. Normally there is a woman with long blonde hair that will serve happy hour prices from the bowling alley window. My family and I have never been here until yesterday. My son, who's never bowled, asked for a bowling party. We decided to book with Morgan Hill Bowl, because they offered so much with their party package. They even offer a variety of characters to attend your party at an additional cost. We decided on getting Spider-Man as a surprise to our son. We're so happy we did! Spider-Man was very attentive to the bday boy and bowled with him the whole time. Maria was our party host and she truly exceeded our expectations on a hostess. She was by our side the whole time and got whatever we needed. My sister who came from Livermore made a comment as to how well Maria did. She wished their bowling parties were like this one. This is an average bowling alley, nothing special but nothing bad. The place is a little bit old but if you want to come and bowl it works out just fine. I came with my nephew and husband on a Tuesday night and it was pretty empty around 6pm but filled in by the time we left at 8pm since there were several league teams that came in. During the week they have $3 games and $3 shoe rentals. We also got a free game with check-in, so I saved a few bucks thanks to Yelp! As far as food options, they have a snack bar with basic stuff like pizza, hot dogs, pretzels, soda, etc. They also have a full service restaurant (Betsey's) with more varied options that you can walk up to a window and they will bring your food to you. My nephew had a cheeseburger and fries and a coke for $13 and it was plenty of food and he liked it. I didn't try it, so I can't personally comment on the quality but it looked good and he was happy, so I was happy. The arcade area is a bit old and dated. Several of the machines are in less than great condition and should be replaced. They do have a few pool tables in the arcade and there is an affiliated Bocce Ball/Wine Bar (21 and Over) next door. It was closed while we were there so I am not sure what the hours are like. There was a also a bar/lounge area but we did not go inside. If you are in the area and want to bowl it's not bad but don't expect anything trendy or upscale. read more
