Jesse initially came across as very charming and knowledgeable, which is why we chose his company to install a brand new roof on our commercial building. Unfortunately, our experience since then has been extremely frustrating. Within a relatively short time after installation, we began experiencing leaks. Over the past two years we have repeatedly asked Jesse to come back and address the issues. While he has come out several times and assured us the problems would be resolved, the leaks have continued and we have had to deal with ongoing damage and repairs. At different points, the problems were attributed to other possible sources such as plumbing, skylights, or HVAC. To better understand the situation, we brought in several independent plumbers and contractors to evaluate the building. Based on those inspections, multiple professionals indicated that our plumbing and drains were functioning properly and that the roof should be re-evaluated. The roof itself has required multiple follow-ups since installation, and despite the original assurance that a new roof would be the best long-term solution, the issues have persisted. After trying for two years to resolve the situation directly, we are now left dealing with significant repair costs and considering legal options. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company do thorough due diligence, verify licensing and warranty details, and obtain multiple opinions before proceeding with a major roofing project. We closed on a house a few months ago, unfortunately the garage roof was defective and it leaked with our first rain of the season. The home warranty does not cover detached garage so I was out of luck. And I needed it fixed before the next rain which was a few days away, plus we are starting with the garage remodel so I dont want any more delay. I reached out to about 3 or 4 companies on Yelp but most needed to come out to see it first. Reasonable but really no need as I already know we need to replace the entire garage roof (I have the square footage) and we know the material. I was able to talk with Jesse the owner right away on a Thursday, he initially said they can do it the following week but since rain was coming on Tuesday, he immediately picked up his cell and called his team to see if they can do it that weekend. Long story short, it was all done by Sunday afternoon. Price was fair from what I can tell. But being able to come with such short notice was close to impossible with most contractors these days. Jesse was very responsive via text and calls. Great follow through too well after the job was done as I had a couple questions. Just had an ADU built and wanted to get some rain gutters installed before the raining season. Reached out to several gutter companies, including Sky Shield Roofing. Spoke with Jesse and explained to him that I already had a few quotes given to me. If I were to just give him the measurements that everyone else had, it would not only save him a drive out but save me the time waiting for him to arrive. He agreed and gave me the quote right over the phone. It was definitely lower than everyone else, plus it included a Lifetime Guaranty on Material and Labor (as long as I own the home). Everyone else only had 1 to 2 years and even one had no warranty at all. Was trying to hold it off as long as possible as I needed to recoup from the ADU build. 2 months later, I called Jesse back and told him I was ready, BUT I wanted to do the primary home also. I explained to him that I already had a few quotes given and if I could just give him the measurements again. Once again, got a quote over the phone, and just like before, it was lower than the rest. Absolutely understanding service from Jesse, and a bid that was significantly lower than anything else I received. Although his crew was a bit careless at times (as work crews can be) Jesse stepped in every time to fix things (like the evening the gate into my backyard was left unlocked, and the padlock couldn't be found -- and Jesse had a lock delivered to me within an hour). The roof is beautiful (the neighbors across the street who live on the "up" side of the hill love looking at it. Getting a new roof is a fairly major home rennovation, and it can make a homeowner feel vulnerable -- something Jesse totally understood. If I had a problem with the crew's work (they did actually damage a rain gutter/downspout), Jesse always took my side, and always took care of the problem. In addition to a new roof, I also now have a beautiful new gutter along the front of my garage, which matches the existing gutters beautifully. I had a leaking skylight in my garage and I reached out to several roofing companies to get quotes. I sent out a bunch of requests for estimates on yelp and Sky Shield just stood out right away. From their quick response to how helpful, transparent and professional they were from start to end. Jesse handled every conversation and issue that we came across in a way that made this process less stressful. The job was to replace the roof for my in-laws rental property. We got a few quotes but Jesse just made us feel super at ease and was honest and very understanding. The tenants are very private and we did not want to keep sending roofers to the property just to give us an estimate. Jesse understood and gave us an estimate by using Google Earth. We have a management company who he had to go through to contact the tenants, and he not only had to deal with them, but also with difficult tenants who were simply upset. This is understandable, of course, but not easy by any means. Jesse and his team handled everything with grace and professionalism. Prior to starting the job we asked him if he could remove a solar pool heater from the old roof which he technically could have declined but not only did he agree to do it for us he also said he would throw it away for us. Unfortunately in the process of doing that it created a plumbing issue which his foreman went above and beyond to fix quickly so we didn't have to worry. The job was completed in an incredible time frame and Jesse was awesome the entire process.
