My nails were so thick I had to tell the lady to file and drill the dip powder down twice. I didn't like how the service was and how my nails came out. They don't look natural at all. They are under new management and well it is sadly the worse customer service I've experienced. I waited for an hour and a half for my nails to be done and fixed the guy who did mine mid way stopped to go to the back to eat really quick cause he was shaking from not eating trying to do my nail he did 80% of the design I asked for and left a trainee to finish the rest of my nail design that was horrible the guy couldn't even match the French tips of the rest of my fingers so I settled and said nevermind. When I raised concern and asked if they can fix it vee told me I would have to wait or come back another day then proceeded to ignore me. I will post what I wanted and what I got the flowers speak for themselves. Unfortunately I won't recommend anyone else to them like how I did the previous owners plus they only have 3 nail techs everyone else can only do mani and pedis so sad after 4 years I have to find a new place. Had my no chip pedicure done by Long and my no chip French mani by Mimi. Overall, I am pleased with my experience. Both were very nice and welcoming. Mimi ensured that I was pleased with my nails throughout my service. Long did a fantastic job with my pedicure. My only complain if you will, was that my pedicure was rather lengthy and had a couple of mistakes that were fixed by Long. My no chip manicure was $45 and my no chip pedicure was $40, $85 total plus gratuity. I would definitely come back in the future, I had a pleasant experience overall. This's is my go to nail shop Tom and Loan do the best nails! I trust those two. Loan did my eyebrows and nails for my wedding. Best eyebrow waxing ever! Tom does coffin shape EXCELLENT!! He gets me right. Although Loan is great, often times her schedule is really full so she's rushed and we al know what happens when a nail tech does a quick job. Things get messed up. It's not that she isn't a great nail technician but if you're looking for the best results and attention to detail best not to book her on her busy days. The clientele at this nail salon is older and people who prefer a simpler look (short nails, usually rounded or regular square). I'm a specialty type of girl. I want my acrylic coffin shape or stiletto shape nails with some unique bold polish (chrome, cat eye, ombré glitter). I can tell Loan doesn't really like to do all that on my nails only because it takes time which she doesn't always have but I know that she can and will try her best to fit me in. She suggests Tom for that sort of stuff because he in her words has been doing nails longer than her and is the best at that stuff! I agree he's amazing! This place was very clean and had a nice comfortable atmosphere. I had a regular manicure done which was $15. Tina was the one who did my nails. My cuticles look choppy and the paint job and shaping was awful. Some of my nails were not filed down to the same length, the sides of my nails were left unpainted, the polish was not evenly painted and was not cleaned off the sides well. The salon also used regular light bulbs to dry nails, it provided little to no heat. The prices were affordable but there are other salons with the same price who do better jobs than this place. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!! Came in on a Saturday for a dipped set and no chip pedi and it was a terrible job. To begin, I told the lady I wanted white for both before she even started any service and she confirmed and began on my no chip pedi. TERRIBLE JOB she left paint all around and didn't cut my nails straight. When it got to my dipped set she couldn't do the color I wanted, which was confirmed since the beginning, so I was offered to do a no chip. The lady did them so bad she sent me to a different person and I had to get them all redone. I was there for almost 3 hrs. Left to Target right after and just from touching an item the paint came off my nails. I immediately went back and the guy fixed it. I mentioned to him about the paint that was left all around my toes as well and he cleaned some off and he told me the rest would come off in the shower. Already it was wrong since I have errands to do afterwards and I shouldn't have to go home and shower to get any excess paint off. That SAME night the paint on my nails came off. Sunday it was closed so I went in on Monday to let them know and was told she could only fix them AGAIN!! There's just so many times I can keep wasting my time by having them fixed over and over. I didnt even last 1 WEEK before the paint came completely off and my nails ended up breaking off. Just save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

You guys- I walked out trying to SUPPRESS the need to go get my nails REDONE somewhere else!!!! I'm so sick of a bad nail job. Sky Nails used to be good... Now they shaped your nail slanted or crooked, paint over your cuticles... Use their own nails to wipe off excess paint or fix mistakes. They also dilute old nail polish with some sort of chemical- right in front of you. No wonder my no chip never lasts. I'm tired of paying 60 dollars for a pedi and no chip and sitting in the chair pissed off. It's just not fair. read more

I picked this place because of the positive reviews and because it's near my house. It is a busy place and I did wait about 40 minutes because all technicians were busy but that's understandable ; it gets busy. The technicians were all very sweet and thanked me for waiting multiple times. It was a very positive atmosphere in general and the technicians conversated with you which was nice. I came in to get a gel layover fill and get a chrome color polish. My nail tech was very precise in making sure my nails are all filed evenly and made sure the gel coat isn't on to thick and not look bulky. They also made sure my chrome color is the exact shade I wanted (light blue), prices were also very reasonable as well. I will definitely come back here again!! Loved it! read more

Terrible experience at this nail salon, went in for a pedicure and an acrylic full set. Pedicure was okay and the nail tech was nice. The problems started when I started getting the acrylics done. To keep a long story short, they started doing no chip on my nails without me asking for a no chip. I don't really get my nails done so I had no idea what he was doing. While he was already in the middle of painting I asked what the light was for(UV light) and he said it's for a no chip. I was surprised since I never said I wanted that. I told him I didn't ask for that and he continued to do my nails. Like I said at this point he already had begun painting so I just said whatever in my head and said I'll pay for the no chip. So when I paid, $20 more for no chip, I told him again it's not correct that you just go ahead and do a no chip without me requesting one, but I'll pay regardless. Which is when he said if I want he'll take the whole polish off and do it regular lol-- how cheap and ridiculous, no apology or nothing. I obviously said no because who has time for that. I paid, was waiting for my receipt and all he said was "you can go now" lol I almost laughed this place has terrible customer service and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. My daughter and I just popped in for an impromptu mani for her and pedi for me. We said at the beginning we didn't want no chip (can't afford to keep up with it) and they didn't want to take no for an answer. One lady even went as far as to make me feel kinda stupid when I was surprised my daughter's mani was done in 20 min. They spoke in their native language while looking right at me so I know they were speaking about me. Simply bummed me out a bit. Worst part the finished work was messy and not finished properly. This has been the only nail salon I've been going to for at least 7 years! I've never had a problem at any point! I primarily go to Tina & Loan but I've been treated by others too. They recently renovated and have new massage chairs, pedicure bins, and manicure stations. I see them clean after every use and spray down all their utensils. Tina gives a FANTASTIC massage with pedicures and manicures and Loan does a great job with waxing eyebrows! I do suggest making an appointment because the wait times can get long especially if you go after standard work hours and weekends. read more

I have been going to Skynails for about 12 years now. I usually get An overlay with gel, pedicures, and eyebrows done here. If I am ever unsatisfied, they are always accommodating. I don't get no chip manicures (my personal preference), but almost everyone else does. They have an array of options. They also to eyelashes, & henna eyebrows. I recently went in for an overlay and tried a new technique which involves a dipping powder with the color in it, and it came out very pretty. The process is a little longer, but it definitely feels lighter than a gel overlay. I have gone to various locations for my nails and always come back to Skynails. read more

I have been going to Sky Nails since they first opened at their location on Narragansett and Belmont many years ago. It is convenient and I have always been satisfied with the services I receive. I usually always get a no chip manicure and spa pedicure as well as the occasional eyebrow wax. I have been to other nail shops and I think their service and sanitation is comparable to most others in the same price range. Some techs are better than others in certain aspects, but that is true in any shop. I think it is important to communicate exactly what you want so that you can walk out satisfied with what you paid for. My manicure always looks good and lasts a long time and I never have had to wait long as a walk-in. read more

Just tried this place out today. I just noticed it the other day while on a walk with my little one. They are super friendly, and did a really good job on my mani/pedi. I also had my eyebrows waxed, and that is where things get a little weird for me. Here's the thing, I absolutely loved the way my eyebrows were shaped but she finished them off with a razor. I have no issues with her using a razor to finish my eyebrows, but after she was done, she didn't throw it out along with the wax strips. That makes me think that either they reuse the same razor for everyone OR they sanitize it between uses. I would feel squicky but somewhat ok if they do sanitize it, but I definitely wouldn't be ok if they reuse them. I left without saying anything, but if I do try them again I'm definitely asking if they're using a new razor on me and bringing my own just in case. I'll update my review then! UPDATE: I haven't been back and I don't plan to. The more I thought about it, the more I felt squicky about the possibility of them reusing the eyebrow razors, so I'm dropping two starts. I'm still on my quest to find my new nail spot! read more

PLEASE DONT GO! When I first came in and sat down the lady looked very annoyed at having to put her show away to do my nails. I showed her a picture of the colors I wanted ( pastel pink, blue, purple, and yellow ) and said that she could do it. I wanted to go get the colors but before I could even try she snatched my phone, gave it to the lady next to her, and sent her to get the colors. The colors she brought back were nothing like what I showed I wanted. I was going to point them out as I was reaching to look at the colors better and the lady took my hand and placed it away and told me to not worry about it. I was very annoyed at this but shook it off. Instead of pastel blue they got teal, and the yellow was more of a bright yellow than pastel. The pink was good enough but the purple was a little too dark. I wouldn't have minded so much if the teal was switches for a baby blue and the yellow wasn't so bright. They had a huge selection of colors and could see better matching ones very quickly. The lady was EXTREMELY ROUGH when grabbing and twisting my fingers, she ended up cutting 3 of my fingers,one so badly it began to bleed. She filled very hard which only made the cut worse. Any time she did something it would hurt, she was pressing my finger rather hard too making it bleed more. I showed her and she laughed it off mumbling something about " oh you know it happens sorry". As annoyed as I was already I told her it was fine and once again shook it off as best as I could. When I first came in I made it VERY clear, repeating it more than once that I wanted normal nail polish, I DIDNT want no chip. Regardless, she made it no chip and by the time I realized it was far too late. As I was finishing up one of the other ladies asked to see my hand, before telling another worker that she was going somewhere for a quick 10 mins. As she was leaving she pointed at my nails and spoke to the lady who was doing my nails in their own language. I'm assuming they were talking about whether she did no chip or not because I heard the exact word as they both laughed. Obviously I didn't fully understand the conversation but by the looks of it it made it seem as if she purposely ignored me saying I didn't want no chip to charge me extra. By the end of it she told me it was 50 dollars but would take 10 dollars off making it fourty. This wouldn't be so bad if the nails are what I wanted, I wasn't cut three times, AND WASNT LIED TO! For a normal acrylic, no gel or anything, normal polish I paid way too much. Especially with all the pain and rudeness I had to go through. By the time I left she told me my nails are dried but 5 minutes into leaving I already noticed three messed up. Beyond annoyed that I spent my birthday money here. Do not recommend at all. Some of these good reviews must be fake as I didn't receive any of it. read more
