One even told me he didn't have time. A man finally took a picture of the design and told me to wait a few minutes while he printed it out and got it ready. 25 minutes I'm still waiting. Meanwhile the first ones to look at the design sat casually talking, including the one who told me he didn't have time. Apparently if your design doesn't meet what they want to do, they are not interested. I would never go back or recommend the arrogance I encountered in this shop.

I've gone here several times for piercings including with friends of mine, Dylan is amazing and…read morehe's my go-to piercer! I make sure to recommend this shop to anyone I can. He's a very loud an eccentric guy so I can understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea, but his happy go lucky personality along with a good explanation of everything he's doing throughout the piercing and aftercare instructions always helps me feel reassured when I'm getting pierced. I will definitely be back for more, as always! He did my first piercing which was my Septum, I then got my Philtrum (Medusa) pierced as well as my eyebrow for my birthday with a friend of mine. He also did angel fangs on another friend of mine and took plenty of time to mark the piercing spots perfectly symmetrical and made sure she was happy with the placement. He's very thorough and knowledgeable in his work, again, I highly recommend this shop for piercings! As for tattoos, I have yet to get any work done here personally and cannot vouch for anyone tattooing up here, but the work I've seen out on display in their portfolios looks amazing.

I highly recommend Criss at lil Paul's tattoo parlor!…read more I was soooo nervous going to a place like this.. I'm Muslim & very conservative but my Pakistani husband wanted me to get my nose pierced (it's a cultural thing for him) as far as I know the only place to get nose piercings are at tattoo parlors... So when I walked in it was a bit scary it smelled like incense & cigarettes & all the guys are coated in tattoos and just looked odd to me.. Criss did my nose piercing... even though he looked scary he was very nice & respectful he took his time to explain what he was going to do & what to expect & how to care for it.. I appreciate that.. piercings are cash only & I had planed to use my card so I was short $2 & Criss told the guy doing the paperwork that he would do it for what I had on me & I was very appreciative of that too.. Definitely 5 starts!

I got a septum piercing here around 2 years ago from Kelly. I was told that I had no sweet spot in…read moremy nose, and while I probably should have been turned away I still received the piercing, which was done very haphazardly. Eventually I went to another piercer who immediately found the sweet spot, who also found that I was pierced with jewelry that was much too big for the initial piercing. All around a bad experience.

1 Star - Appalling Lack of Basic Human Decency…read more I don't normally write reviews, but after the treatment my girlfriend received at Kelly's Tattoo Shop, I feel compelled to warn others about the kind of people running this place. My girlfriend was shopping next door and suddenly experienced a very real and urgent situation: she started bleeding through her pants due to her menstrual cycle. It was a stressful and embarrassing moment that any woman could unfortunately find herself in. In search of a restroom, she stepped into Kelly's Tattoo Shop and politely asked if she could use their bathroom, clearly explaining it was an emergency related to her period. Instead of offering even an ounce of empathy or basic human compassion, the woman working there - a lady with an ugly blue side part (you'll know her when you see her) - blatantly lied and said there was no bathroom. My girlfriend, confused, pointed to a clearly visible sign that indicated there was in fact a restroom on the premises. That's when the employee snapped back with a cold and dismissive, "That's only for paying customers." Let me emphasize: this wasn't someone just looking to loiter or waste time. She was in an emergency, bleeding through her clothes, and was met with stone-cold indifference and hostility. The employee knew exactly what was happening and still turned her away. She didn't just say no - she chose to make an already vulnerable person feel ashamed and unwelcome. My girlfriend then had to run across the street to Passado's while actively bleeding through her pants just to find a restroom. Thankfully, they were kind and understanding - something Kelly's clearly is not. So let me be perfectly clear: if this is how Kelly's Tattoo Shop treats women in distress, especially in situations that require nothing more than a shred of empathy, I can't imagine how they treat paying clients who trust them with permanent work on their bodies. Shame on this business and especially that rude, unkind employee. I will never support this establishment, and I will actively discourage others from doing so. If basic humanity doesn't exist inside your storefront, then you don't deserve the community's business.

Do not see Grace. Do not see Pinky. Do not go here for scar coverups or memorials…read more --- So I want to start this by saying that I am editing this review from five stars down to one. I would not be editing this review except for the egregious harassment and condescension artists and piercers at this shop have shown. I went in with a group, my mother and my brother, for memorials tattoos for my late grandmother last week while the three of us were in the area for the funeral. We all got birds in different styles. My mother and I had tattoos done by Oddy (and I have to say, he was absolutely wonderful and I would still highly recommend him) however due to time restraints, Oddy was not able to do my little brothers tattoo (a line work cardinal) and we were instructed to go back later that night for Grace to do my brothers. The stencil Oddy drew up for my brother was detailed, beautiful, and perfect for a memorial to my grandmother. But the tattoo Grace gave my brother was shoddy and rushed, with missing shading, shaky lines, continuity/lighting that didnt make sense, and did not match the stencil. Grace tried to claim it was due to scarring on his arm but me and my brother both have multiple tattoos over similar scarring and have never had an issue like that. Grace simply didn't have the skill to complete the tattoo. My brother reached out to Grace for a partial refund and was ignored for days until he posted on IG about the issue (he was responded to immediately after that and told to call the shop directly). One of the piercers, Pinky, then started harassing my brother on IG about his scarring and claiming she's not surprised he's being difficult because of his "history" alluding to his scarring. We never met this woman, never even saw her. She was not in the shop when we went in. My brother called the shop and had a short conversation with the owner, in which he was asked to change his review. He refused. She hung up on him. I told him to email them. He did. Only then did he get the partial refund and tip back as requested. The situation seemed over. Until Pinky, the piercer that we never met, started messaging my brother again today saying that "no one should walk into a tattoo shop like that" referring to his scars. The fact that Grace messed up a memorial tattoo, ignored my brother, the owners hung up on him and tried to get him to change his review for a refund, and the piercer is actively harassing my brother for his previous mental health issues has all drastically changed my opinion of this shop. I would never recommend this place again and I STRONGLY advise you to stay as far away as you can. EDIT: I just called Skin Science about the harassment that Pinky is sending my brother. I was informed that Pinky no longer works there and hasnt for a while due to constant mistreatment of their customers. Pinky now owns the piercing studio Piercings by Pinky on Troup Highway in Tyler However this shows the fact that Grace or another artist is friends with Pinky and offering customers' social medias to Pinky when customers complain. Pinky is still harassing customers on behalf of Grace, even after being fired by Skin Science. I think that still speaks volumes to the professionalism of Grace at Skin Science.
