Do not see Grace. Do not see Pinky. Do not go here for scar coverups or memorials…read more --- So I want to start this by saying that I am editing this review from five stars down to one. I would not be editing this review except for the egregious harassment and condescension artists and piercers at this shop have shown. I went in with a group, my mother and my brother, for memorials tattoos for my late grandmother last week while the three of us were in the area for the funeral. We all got birds in different styles. My mother and I had tattoos done by Oddy (and I have to say, he was absolutely wonderful and I would still highly recommend him) however due to time restraints, Oddy was not able to do my little brothers tattoo (a line work cardinal) and we were instructed to go back later that night for Grace to do my brothers. The stencil Oddy drew up for my brother was detailed, beautiful, and perfect for a memorial to my grandmother. But the tattoo Grace gave my brother was shoddy and rushed, with missing shading, shaky lines, continuity/lighting that didnt make sense, and did not match the stencil. Grace tried to claim it was due to scarring on his arm but me and my brother both have multiple tattoos over similar scarring and have never had an issue like that. Grace simply didn't have the skill to complete the tattoo. My brother reached out to Grace for a partial refund and was ignored for days until he posted on IG about the issue (he was responded to immediately after that and told to call the shop directly). One of the piercers, Pinky, then started harassing my brother on IG about his scarring and claiming she's not surprised he's being difficult because of his "history" alluding to his scarring. We never met this woman, never even saw her. She was not in the shop when we went in. My brother called the shop and had a short conversation with the owner, in which he was asked to change his review. He refused. She hung up on him. I told him to email them. He did. Only then did he get the partial refund and tip back as requested. The situation seemed over. Until Pinky, the piercer that we never met, started messaging my brother again today saying that "no one should walk into a tattoo shop like that" referring to his scars. The fact that Grace messed up a memorial tattoo, ignored my brother, the owners hung up on him and tried to get him to change his review for a refund, and the piercer is actively harassing my brother for his previous mental health issues has all drastically changed my opinion of this shop. I would never recommend this place again and I STRONGLY advise you to stay as far away as you can. EDIT: I just called Skin Science about the harassment that Pinky is sending my brother. I was informed that Pinky no longer works there and hasnt for a while due to constant mistreatment of their customers. Pinky now owns the piercing studio Piercings by Pinky on Troup Highway in Tyler However this shows the fact that Grace or another artist is friends with Pinky and offering customers' social medias to Pinky when customers complain. Pinky is still harassing customers on behalf of Grace, even after being fired by Skin Science. I think that still speaks volumes to the professionalism of Grace at Skin Science.

I'm Muslim & very conservative but my Pakistani husband wanted me to get my nose pierced (it's a cultural thing for him) as far as I know the only place to get nose piercings are at tattoo parlors... So when I walked in it was a bit scary it smelled like incense & cigarettes & all the guys are coated in tattoos and just looked odd to me.. Criss did my nose piercing... even though he looked scary he was very nice & respectful he took his time to explain what he was going to do & what to expect & how to care for it.. I appreciate that.. piercings are cash only & I had planed to use my card so I was short $2 & Criss told the guy doing the paperwork that he would do it for what I had on me & I was very appreciative of that too.. Definitely 5 starts!

I've gotten two tattoos at this shop that turned out pretty good considering I knew the artists who did them. If I had known my sister would have been treated this unprofessionally I never would have recommended it. So furious & disappointed in the genuine lack of professionalism and the way they treat their clients. Not to mention she was not provided with after-care instructions or which items to use (luckily I'm covered in tattoos and can provide this at home). Her friend was also screwed over and ended up with an uneven piercing, because he didn't mark it and have her approval before shoving a needle into her body. DO NOT GO HERE, I know I wont anymore. The entry spot is correct but the exit spot is at the bottom of my nose. I couldn't straighten out my jewelry if I wanted to and I took it out as soon as I got home. I'm sure the tattoos look great but the piercings are not good quality. I do not recommend for piercings. I attached pictures, they're blurry, but you can see how crooked it is.
