The people in this shop are arrogant. So much for "walk-in". I went in requesting to get a tattoo. A couple of them looked at the design and acted totally disinterested. One even told me he didn't have time. A man finally took a picture of the design and told me to wait a few minutes while he printed it out and got it ready. 25 minutes I'm still waiting. Meanwhile the first ones to look at the design sat casually talking, including the one who told me he didn't have time. Apparently if your design doesn't meet what they want to do, they are not interested. I would never go back or recommend the arrogance I encountered in this shop. read more

I came in wanting 4 piercings, talked to Arturo and he recommended holding off on one of them so I could sleep on my side better. I got 3 in one session and they're placed perfectly and he asked about the placement before doing the piercings. He was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable during each piercing. My mom, who is a paralyzed veteran, and I went in for tattoos as walk ins. One guy immediately refused her service dog, respectfully. We discussed it and she put her SD under her wheelchair in her little bed where she usually sleeps, completely out of the way and the guy went and asked the manager if it that was okay. The manager came out and was combative right off the bat, super defensive trying to explain that the health department would shut him down and so on. But it is a federal law that business do NOT have the right to refuse a legal service dog (thanks to the Americans with Disabilities service act). We could has called the cops and have them fined (200$) but we just decided to leave peacefully as she's run into this issue before at a nail salon, (the cops told the salon they would have to allow the service dog or pay the fine). She didn't want to give them our business or any more of our time. The manager proceeded to FOLLOW us outside and yell at us and we repeatedly asked him to leave and he just continued to argue and be combative until my mom had to literally say "please go away we're leaving I don't know why you're fighting us". She has plenty of tattoos already and have never had an issue. Manager needs to brush up on his laws and learn to be more accommodating and respectful of his disabled veterans. read more

I called and asked the process for getting an evaluation for a tattoo. Lazy said to email the idea with several pictures and some one would get back with me. That was 4 days ago. Since then I have called and spoken to several people looking for any progress. First no one was interested in my tattoo because I wouldn't put a price tag on it until I could judge the artist skill through a rough sketch of my idea. Then everyone got busy and no one could contact me but I was told to try back that evening so I did. Finally I was told they were too busy and would call in a few days when they had time. I will not be holding my breath and they seem to have to poor customer service skills. Maybe I dodged a bulled and spared myself a crap tattoo. I even told them if this tattoo was successful I have a full sleeve that needed to be finished. I still haven't heard back. read more

I am very unhappy with Lost Boys right now. I stopped in a month ago and made an appointment with Dee for 2:00 pm today. I called ahead today to make sure she was going to be there because it's an hour drive one way for me. I arrived early and sat there until 2:30 waiting. No one even bothered to offer to call her to see if she was coming in. I am very disappointed in their work ethic. read more

Roman did my tattoo tonight and it looks sweet!!!!!! My bestie and I got matching tats on our pinkies. Roman looks young but is a talented artist and I would be happy to let him do another tattoo on me. Previously I had gotten a tattoo I did not like, when this place had different artists and it was called, Thirteenth step. I had a great experience today and I would definitely return. Professional, clean, talented artists. After a day my tattoo looks blurry and less defined. I also noticed the heart does not have an outline like it was supposed to. I'm gonna have to go back and get it outlined so it will look right. Oct 2016 update, My best friends tattoo was done by another guy in this shop and he must have done a terrible job on her pinky tattoo because half of the tattoo has completely rubbed off with just normal hand washing. I have never seen this happen before. I guess he did not go deep enough with the tattoo needle if the darn ink washed off. That's crazy. read more

Have heard really good things about the place (that's why I'm giving two stars instead of one) when asking around. My husband is looking to get some new pieces for his sleeve, and I'm the wary one of going somewhere new since I'm from another state and have a tattoo shop I frequent there. We went to Lost Boys hoping to get something done that day or at least schedule an appointment and my husband went in and no one acknowledged him at all. He sat there waiting for someone to speak to him for at least fifteen minutes, with several people sitting around on their phones. I finally went in and told him I just wanted to leave. Sometimes being great artists doesn't make up for poor customer service. read more
