When I first started coming to Sen, about a year ago, I was super impressed. My nails always turned out great and I was always super happy with my pedicures. Since the beginning of the year though, I have been consistently frustrated with how my nails have turned out. Today I came in for a full set and specifically asked for a female technician, but was given a male. Very frustrating!! Then, on top of that he cut my cuticles numerous times and this is quite literally the worst full set I've ever gotten. It looks horrible. I tried multiple times to have him fix stuff, but he didn't understand. He didn't do any of the normal manicure treatments and barely put a dot of lotion on my hands. VERY UNHAPPY AND UNSATISFIED! The amount of things wrong with my nails is super annoying especially when I kept asking to fix them as he went and he said oh its because of this, ill fix it, or nothing at all just kept working. I am beyond frustrated because I paid 60$ and was hoping for a good service and got the worst in my life. I asked for french tip full set sharp square with just a light blue colored tip instead of white. Why are none of my nails sharp square and none of them match each other. I have tapered square, square round, round and no sharp square. Not only did he mess that up the size and height of every nail is different even when you compare the two exact nails opposite hand they dont match. Also my french tip they are all different widths the sides all go down at a different length the second and third coat didnt match so i have lighter in some parts and darker in other and the arches are all different. I am super sad because I cant get my nails done all the time and I'd rather have none with the way these look! Do NOT recommend also I had kevin so avoid if you can. read more

The nails I got were done very well. However, when taking off the previous nails with clippers the tech ended up breaking my actual nail into the quick. The tech was very apologetic, it was an accident, and was on the side of my thumb (not too painful). But I feel like it happened because they were rushing to get through. It's also very crowded and I definitely suggest making an appointment. I gave them 4 stars because the tech did a really good job on my nails (even with the accident). But I would only "maybe" recommend this place because it could be overwhelming if you have sensory issues since it's so crowded. read more

It seems like at this salon, for great nails you need to schedule with a specific nail tech. I scheduled my appointment for anyone available and believe I was placed with a mail tech who might've been new? My dip nails took about 2.5 hrs (I went in with clean nails already). Though the long appointment had me reschedule my plans I had for after, I was very happy with my nails. Until, two days later my thumb nail started chipping. I tried to repair it and put a few clear top coats on myself, however after a week now more nails are chipping and o days the top coat started chipping. read more

Professional and great service! I decided to treat myself today and did a walk in at this nail salon and spa, hoping they could squeeze me in. I did my research and this one seemed to fit what I was looking for. Greeted by a very nice lady at the front, she informed me it would be a short wait(I did not mind). The chairs massaged you and we're comfortable. My nail technician actually arrived pretty quickly to me and was did a great job. Tu was kind and gentle with my toes. I was offered something to drink too. Tu even had to come back because I messed up two of them. If I was an undercover customer, this would have been a test! He didn't seem bothered at all and treated me kindly. So he passed the test I guess. I was going to rate a four-stars out of five only because I wish they would wipe down the arm rest( finger prints smeared all over). The workers were nice. They have signs up by the chairs saying that the nail work is between you and your artist and did not reflect on the store which was kinda weird to me. My nail guy was nice but when I asked him to do a small design on my nails he had to ask another lady to do it and then she was still not 100% confident. This was my first time here after moving to Tyler a year ago. My son who is nine came with me . He got a cut down and a clear coat by helen. jasmine ,who did my dip set ,,and Helen were very sweet and attentive to us both . My son got a head ache because of the fumes but they were quick to help him, bringing him a soda and pointing fans on him . The atmosphere is very calming and very professional. I wanted a gel manicure and showed the nail technician a picture (of my previous manicure). short and how neat I wanted my gel polish. Specifically asking to not have my skin painted! -My nail technician did a great job at cutting and filing my nails. -He didn't do a good job pushing my cuticles back nor did he do a job cutting my cuticles -The polish looked very messy and NOT neat at all. The first time I came it was based on local reviews, Sarah was amazing. I felt heard and the nails were my favorite to date. Second trip-- was a bit bumpy to start, but when I tell you Sarah stepped in and made it right... it was 200% that. Unfortunately the damage was done to the nails, I had to come in and have one cut off, but I still got lots of compliments on the paint job. On my third trip-- because one bad experience does not a full review make. Got a beautiful manicure, and the last minute add on pedicure was fantastic! Have gone to salon before but probably will not return. Pedicure end result was polish on feet as well as toenails, and definitely not even or smooth polish on the nails. Manicure was even worse. Had booked for gel maincure, but stopped them from putting polish on as was bleeding from cuticle cuts. He tried putting the barbicide on thumb cuticle which resulted in a huge brown color buildup along back of nail and cuticle. Nails were not shaped the same. Some fingers had round, some had square. Had discussed the bleeding issues when checking out, and called salon back later to discuss the nail shape and other issues. Both times have been told to schedule with specific technician and to let them know to not book you with this technician. Need to know the technicians names when you book appointment or walk in at your own risk. read more

I went for the first time! I called and they got me in within half an hour. The place was much bigger than I thought. The interior was clean and well organized. My nails were exactly what I wanted just one color dip. I could see those around me getting some crazy designs and they looked amazing. They have a hidden up charge that is called a "product charge" that is not disclosed. When I asked about it at check out I was told "it should be on the menu". I did not see it nor was it ever spoken about when choosing my service. There is no signs posted. They stated this is a separate charge so the techs don't get commission. After trying countless( truly), nail salons over the years, Sen Nail Lounge is far above any other. I have been a client for the past four years. Even after moving to a town 40 minutes away, I continue to come here for my nail services. They honor appointments. This is imperative. So many times in the past, I would have an appointment someplace else. Upon arrival, I was asked( told), it would be a few more minutes. 20-30 minutes later, someone finally and hurriedly, showed up to provide a rushed service. Not the case with Sen Nail Lounge. If you have an appointment, which you definitely need to make, they will be within five minutes of seating you. The nail techs are talented and care about making you happy. Although I always go to the same person, I know that many others have a loyal following because they are talented and because they care. I will say that the pedicures can be hit or miss, if you don't know the tech. I was there recently and took an out of town friend, who was visiting. My pedicure was good, hers was just okay. The tech she had was not friendly and his demeanor was sullen. Moreover, my massage was much longer than hers and we had the same service.
