I answer, "Good morning, this is John." And, an irritated voice demands to know, "What do you want?" No hello. No how can I help you. Just, "What do you want?" I asked, "May I ask who's calling?" He shot back with, "You called me." "No," I said. "You just called me." He shot back with "Are you selling something?" "No." "Then why do you keep calling me?" I didn't know how to answer, because I didn't know who I was talking to. But, I hesitated a moment, as my wheels were turning. "Fine," he said, "I'll just block this number," and with that, he hung up. Wondering who the heck he was, I looked back on my call list and (sure enough) found his number on my call list. It was Westover Roofing. Needless to say, we went with S&H Roofing instead (out of Tucson) and Westover Roofing lost out on an easy $5,000.
