Today is 19 June 2026 and we had to terminate them. Their work was far below grade; painting was sloppy; corners cut wherever they could...as they fell further behind, the work became progressively worse. I'm embarrassed to have visitors over until we get things fixed and done the right way. When I pointed out all the crappy work, the owner just became mad and refused to communicate again. The work then slowed even more. The owner then sent a text saying he would be finished and out on Wednesday, the 17th. There is still at least a week's worth of work left. I would NEVER use these guys again!

Huge rant for Mitchell's Remodeling! Then they didnt get a permit (I thought they did) so a stop work order happened and instead of dealing with that, they had a vacation planned (and I understand that but they could have started the permit or did it online instead of not doing anything at all and blaming me everytime we talked) then when they got back they wouldn't be able to come back to finish the work till August. I hired another company to finish. They were not impressed with the starting of the wall as it was crooked and bearly deep enough.

Note: estimates were very vague. The "office" needs a reality check. I thoroughly believe in supporting local businesses however, when one shows estimates that are.... Extremely expensive and questionable.... That's an issue. Example. Estimate to replace two ceiling fans. Replacement ONLY! I was given $750! Yes people that was the quote. I called two handymen "$50 per or $100 per; box stores between $150-200 per!" Do your due diligence and call around! Word of mouth is best. I sent back feedback to provide them insight to their outrageous pricing. Also of note. Who puts a "lien" statement in an estimate vs a warranty statement? Just found that curious as all get up.

The workers were very careful and did great work. On top of everything, they cleaned the outside of all the windows and power washed the patio, walkways and the driveway. The cost was worth it.
