On the website you can enter a price as an offer. I entered the price of $19,000. This was a little low but I was hoping we could negotiate. A coworker recommended this place to me. I visited the dealership and was late due to the construction (they didn't tell me!). I was given a salesperson who did not know anything about a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited! What's the horsepower? "Um, don't know, I'll have to ask" Is there hill descent control? Is there hill start assist? What is the engine? What are the tires? "Um, I'll have to get back with you about that". The guy was nice and there was no pressure. But really, he couldn't answer any of my questions. I told him about my price offer and that I had done research and thought it was pretty reasonable since the car is not new but used and there are better offers in in the area. He asked me if there were any other cars I was interested in. I said a Subaru Forester. He said he would go look and see if they had any on their other lots. He disappeared for some time and then returned with the manager. The manager told me there was no way I could get a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited anywhere around here for $19k. He said he looked at all of McGrath's lots and there was just no way. He showed me some computer paper which had a price of $25k which he said was the price they bought the car. Are you kidding me! What a bunch of malarkey! He said he would go down $500 but no more. Well, I thanked him for his time and walked out the store. I never did get the info on the Subaru or any of my Wrangler questions answered. It's probably for the best since I doubt the salesperson I was with knew anything about a Subaru either. They should have just told me they couldn't meet my price instead of wasting my time. The whole time I was waiting for the salesperson to find out about the Subaru, they were in the researching if there were any Jeep Unlimiteds for $19k? Really?! Why didn't they just come out and tell me straight up they couldn't meet my price but they could help me find another car? Instead they made me look like I was a liar! I guess it's okay for the salesperson to lie but if a customer is lying, then the management will spend 30 minutes doing research to find out if the customer is lying. Iowa is not a good place to buy a Jeep since they are overpriced here due to their popularity. Chicago is the best place to go to find a fair price. It's not as popular since most urbanites want a fuel efficient car. This experience left me really bad impressions of McGraths and Jeep. Only go here if you want a car that is overpriced and you are not willing (too lazy) to go to Chicago for a fair price.

I tried visiting another dealer, but they were in the process of moving, so I found my way here as Junge was the only other dealer within a decent distance of Iowa City that did Saturday service. They did say they were busy, but I anticipated the possibility of waiting all day. However, they managed to shoe me in and complete the service so fast, I had to stay in their lobby another hour to finish the catch-up work I started! Since my car was a CPO bought at 26K miles and lots of things were already pretty new, the advisor said that a 30K mile service nowadays is pretty much an oil change and a bunch of inspections (that their dealer does for free anyway), and given that there were many newer components under the hood (I checked), this was perfect! In the end, all that was done is an oil change, as well as some preventative maintenance on the PTU for a little shy of $140... I was expecting to pay through the nose, but this is dirt cheap compared to $300-500 upon reaching what is typically a major milestone; not even my friend's Hyundai's 30K service was this cheap! Also, since I left my dash cam on by accident, they also give you a complimentary hand wash and towel dry, while most competitors will just send it through a machine wash. All in all, Junge does business with integrity; when most dealerships have a bad rap for bleeding you dry, I almost had to shove my card into their pockets since they didn't want to overcharge me!

Thinking it was a oil change issue as they claimed "oh it was in great shape we even replaced parts and put new tires on it before the sale" we put it off for two days. It never stopped blowing smoke and we had check engine lights including the oil symbol blaring on the dash. It used a quart of oil on before the second day was over. That continued and now its in the shop. With a bad oil pump and other issues to the tune of $7,000 dollars. And we have not even had the title transfered yet. They fed us a bunch of bull and we took the bait. Yeh they sold it as is...but come on people is there no pride in this country anymore. BUYER BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE

The guys here were really relaxed, answered my questions and avoided anything that felt "used car salesman-y". Prices were the best I found in a wide radius and they were very willing to haggle a bit on price. The physical building wasn't much to look at, but in the end, I'm much more interested in a good deal than in paying for someone else's expensive overhead. The car came with a 30 day, 1000 mile warranty from the dealership as well - it was nice that they actually stick behind the cars they sell. In the end, the experience was good enough that I will be looking here again the next time I'm looking for a new (to me) vehicle.

We took it to a local VW dealer who after assessing it said the entire engine needs to be replaced. Parts & labor totaling around $20K. This dealership refuses to stand behind their car because we did not buy a extended warranty. On the way home, it did this shutter a few different times that only got worse the more I drove it. After a month, I finally took it to multiple places to have it looked at and found that it needed a new transmission, timing chain, torque converter, among multiple other costly repairs that totaled more than what I even paid for it. I went to write a bad review on their facebook page only to find that it was no longer a page. Then I went to their website to see that it said "This dealership has no inventory", and then went to the places on their page where reviews can be seen and written and it said "This dealership is no longer available". Then I tried calling their phone number and it is no longer in service. These dirty crooks sold a bunch of crap to innocent people and either got busted or went off the grid before they were caught.
