Thinking about renting here? Think again.
This comment comes from a current resident (under a fake name, cause brio has the right to kick me out for "no reason"), who works from home and hardly leaves their apparent room.
Let me start with the stench:
Living here is expensive, it's just as much as paying mortgage on a house. With all the money take from us, you'd think they'd clean the hallways but they don't. My apartment reeks of dog piss and food all times of the day. There's trash on the floor and you can see fur near the elevator....
Their garbage service:
They make you pay $20/month so someone can take out your trash at 6pm... Ok...
If you're a working individual like me, when you get home there's hardly trash because you haven't been there all day. At least for me I don't have trash until 11pm (which means I have to take out--fine whatever)
BUT GET THIS.
The trash service people are PETTY as freak.
If your trash isn't 100% in a bag then the trash people leave it by your door.
For example: My trash was full and I put a cardboard soda box on top of the trash bag (note: not inside the bag, on top) and the trash people took my trash but left my box...I pay $20/month for this kind of service?
Parking/towing:
You better believe it when I say the towing company is out to get you. Regardless if YOU pay for YOUR spot (which the front desk has your license plates for each spot) and the parking sticker was in your car (and you SHOW them proof), they will say "well, it was hard to find. You can talk to the front desk about it."
Then force you to pay $250...
The towing company will come in at 2AM (I saw this) with flashlights looking through your car.
Your car will be towed if:
1. It's "hard" to see your parking sticker
2. If your plates are expired (even by a day)
3. If your plates are GOING to expire they put a big green STICKER on your window saying something along the lines of "your plates are going to expire. We will tow it on xx-xx-xxxx day if it's not fixed by then" (yeah a sticker)
--oh and don't expect the front desk to help you. "It's just good business; we don't have any contact with the company; they can do what they want" HOW RIDICULOUS.
20% young people/senior living:
THIS IS A LIE. 100% A flat lie.
I am one of the young people and I haven't seen more than 5 people that are over 65. This place is flooded with young people.
A lady who goes to my church (she apparently lives in the apartments) said all the old people are pissed at Amy (front desk lady) cause she has let SO many young people move in.
GET THIS:
I just found out today that there's a petition to kick all the young people out, and there's 200-300 signatures!!
So old people, take what you will with that info.
People are moving out like crazy:
Already 10 families that I know of have moved out and this place has only been open for 6 months. Even I'm trying to get out of this place...
Amy and her front desk girls:
I don't know what to say...
Amy doesn't know what hospitality. All these complaints and she doesn't budge or work with you to make you feel good. She comes off as VERY promising in the beginning (cause she wants the sell) but dang... she's two faced and petty.
Her front desk girls are USELESS. Guaranteed just hired for their looks. They look friendly, but literally don't do anything except talk to each other. I ask them questions and they can never seem to answer them.
When I came to them with a complaint they handled it incredibly horrible.
"Well it's written in our newsletter"
"our what?"
"The paper we stick on your door. It's a newsletter... WHAT you don't read our newsletter? We spend so much time working on that"
(Note: they print a singular black and white paper with tons of text and stickers, which they put on your door once every 2 months)
"Did send an email about the newsletter?"
"Well most of our residents are old people so they don't know how to use email. So no"
(Remember I said there are more young people?? Yeah)
WELL LADIES-- it's not that hard to do both, right? start working and make your residents feel good. read more
