The day of inspection the manager assured max Max 5 days so I left my car with Geico , now it's been almost 3 weeks and still not ready saying some parts are back ordered and don't know when parts will arrived. The worst part of the history is my parts were fine. They looked good on the Inspection pictures. According to manager " The reason they need to change those parts is because was glued on n it got damaged when they tired take it off" now my car look worst and they want me to take my car without the parts since parts are in backorder. Plus I have to pay 1000 usd when I pick up the car plus I already spend +1000 in car rental . Somebody please help me! read more

Someone rear ended my Mercedes at a red light. Geico said I could take my car at any workshop to get it fixed. I chose SKUFFY on Jericho turnpike. I did not regret it one bit!! First, I have always passed this little spot and wondered how would they even possibly operate with such a restricted area. I was on break for class and decided to quickly bring in my car for repairs. As soon as I walk in , I met with a very nice man who helped me show him all the work that needed to be done. They exceeded my expectations in how efficient they got me in and out of this repair shop. Not to mention they had me driving a BMW 4 series for about a week! Once I received my car it was SPOTLESS they took the time to clean and polish and detail my whole entire car. They even fixed my foggy head light!! When I'm telling you it was trashed!!!! Don't bring your car to these rude people. Don't waste your time! My husband needed me to pick up his car on Saturday since he was at work, they told him they'd stay open until 1pm for us. I get to the shop in 110 degree weather waaaaaay before 1pm and not one person opened the door. I knocked and stood there for 15 minutes straight in the blazing sun. I looked in and the lights were off, no one was there. Then today (Monday), they start calling my husband like crazy at work saying he needs to get the car. We previously explained to them that we WORK like most NORMAL PEOPLE, so if Saturday was the only day we could grab the car, why would you lie & say you'd be there when you weren't? The receptionist was very rude to him and even told him that I never showed up. They won't be getting our business ever again, & I'll let everyone in our neighborhood know to stay away too since we live right down the block from Skuffy. read more

I live in the Huntington area and often drove past Skuffy's Auto Body but not thinking twice about it. Then one night I backed my Nissan Altima into a wall. Did a little shopping around and a competing local shop in Greenlawn wanted to charge me over $500 to have my bumper repainted. The price I expected the woman said I wouldn't be able to open the can of paint for that much. So I emailed Skuffy, got a reply back the following day with a much more reasonable estimate. Dropped my car off mid afternoon and the following day it looked as good as new. Didn't have to make an appointment, they took my car in right away. Not that I plan on needing any more body work done, knock on wood.... I'd consider these guys pretty top notch. Also A+ rated on the Better Business Bureau. read more

My car was hit while parked and the person didn't stop or leave any details (jerk). I recently increased my deductible to $1000 as I was trying to keep my premiums as low as possible. After checking on my insurance companies web-site, I saw that Stuffy was an approved repair facility. As I was hoping to keep the price low, I thought I'd go somewhere recommended by my insurance company. They were busy when I got there so I walked inside to wait. As I was waiting, I saw a sign saying that estimates are $50.00. If they do the work, the $50.00 is credited toward your bill. As I was hoping to keep it as low as possible because of my high deductible, the last thing I wanted to consider was paying out fifty bucks for an estimate. What if the estimate is too high in my opinion for what I expected to have done. I'm out another $50.00! Because of that, I turned around and walked out of the place. So, my one star isn't for their work as I'll never have anything done by them, but it's for the business practice of charging for estimates, especially when they're getting referrals from my insurance company. In looking again at my insurance carriers web-site, they also recommended DePalo Auto Body. I stopped in there and they couldn't have been more helpful. In hearing my story, they're going to try to repair what was damaged instead of immediately ordering new parts. They estimate that if it's successful, it'll cost me $75.00 to $100.00. It may not work, but at least they were willing to discuss my problem and work on an inexpensive solution. And I'm not paying for an estimate! read more

Skuffy's is the WORST place to have your car fixed. It took them two weeks to replace a door. They didn't even put the side door molding on correctly. The window didn't even work. When you complain they walk away from you. I would NEVER recommend this place. There are much better places to bring your car. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!!!! I had to bring my car to another shop to actually place the door on correctly and fix the window. If you have a problem with SKUFFY's you should go to small claims court. Chances are you will win. Always cutting corners just to make a buck. Very Shady!!! read more

Less than one star! I am sorry I did not consult this page before I left my car there. They are rude, unprofessional and liars. I was even threatened by the 2 owners. Cash only for my deductible - at the last minute or they would not release my car. Told me delays were BMW's fault. No parts came from BMW! They flood you with emails that your work is on schedule - it's not! Geico also worked horribly from this location. They do not check in to see what is happening. Skuffy is definitely helping Enterprise - told me they would help lessen my rental bill! They are crooks! Go elsewhere! read more

I would never recommend Skuffy's to do repairs on any cars. They do not pay attention to detail and the owner Lee Bahlkow is extremely rude and DOES NOT GUARANTEE any of the work that is done in the shop. The motto is they DENY, DENY, DENY, anything that goes wrong and the quality of work is extremely poor. No one checks the work that is done and if there is a problem they DENY they caused it. Please do not use this Auto Body Shop. There are much better places to have repairs done and more professional atmospheres to leave your car. read more

Horrible job! Missed painting the edge of the fender, they fixed it horrible with touch up paint. I noticed the edge of the hood now is not painted, but I refuse to go back there. I'm sure I can do just as bad of a job with touch up paint. Had bubbles in the surface. They fixed the bubbles after I complained. Terrible customer service. Jim the Geico rep will never call you with follow ups, or remember your name when you call. There are so many places to get your car fixed on Long Island go somewhere else. read more

This place is one smoooth operation. They were referred to me by Gieco, the insurance company of a guy that rear ended me. Although minimal damage, they repaired my car in a single day. Gieco and Enterprise are on-site. The Skuffy people took my car in, Gieco inspected it, and Enterprise had me in a rental for the day, all within ten minutes. Even though my car was ready the same day, they let me pick it up first thing the next morning. They delivered my car, Enterprise received the rental and I was driving away and done all in like five minutes with a lifetime guarentee on the work. Everybody was friendly a professional. They even vaccumed and cleaned my mats! I would definately recommend them to anybody and use them again if the unfortunate need arises. GREAT JOB GUYS! read more

Do not bring your car to this place. The only good thing here is the Geico program, everything else is horrible.

I have to say that even though I feel they did a good job on my car, I'm not happy with other things. It took three weeks for them to fix my car after I was side swiped which I will just accept as practice, however, I'm a little annoyed at the fact that someone ate their lunch in my car and left their garbage. I decided to let it go a few months ago, but I'm still finding stale bread and crumbs on my floor and between my seats. I don't even eat in my car and yet someone over there felt it was ok to have a meal in my passenger seat. I also have a crack in the hard plastic pocket of the passenger side door, the side that had work done. I didn't notice it until a week later, so I can't go back and accuse them, but between picking up my car from them and noticing it, there was no one in that seat. Now it's going to cost me who knows how much to have that fixed. I won't use them again. read more
