A number of times I've been in the store, they've had some tasty samples in their kitchen area.They've had some great sauces and cookies in the past. (They made a delicious monkey/pull-apart bread a while back and I ended up buying some of the sauce to re-make it.) Staff: The staff have always been beyond kind, helpful, and accommodating. My mother was looking for two of an item and they didn't hesitate to do whatever they could to locate a second for her. On another trip, after purchasing some larger items, they were extremely kind and patient when helping us puzzle piece the items into our vehicle. Prices: The prices really range on the items, so your experience may depend on your budget. On a student budget, I still enjoyed walking around the store and would get some small kitchen items when I found something I truly loved or needed. With a more flexible budget it's definitely more enjoyable to peruse the furniture sections. Friends and family members that have visited the area have really enjoyed walking around this store, specifically for the selection of furniture and decor. Parking: Don't let the entrance road fool you - they've got a small parking lot in the back of the building! Ultimately, this store is definitely worth exploring!

The motor to the leg power lift broke Jan of this year 2025 and after multiple calls, emails, trips to the store my chair has still not been fixed 6 months later. Stahls blames CCS and CCS will not extend the warranty for the 6 months I've been dealing with a broken $2500 $400 warrantied chair. We aren't in a pandemic and really feel Stahl should be putting the pressure on the warranty company that I paid Stahl the purchase price. My last LaZBoy and no more Stahl. I try to support local businesses but I'm done with them.

Distinctive Home Furnishings is located near Menards, and I hope they're here to stay. After I received my tax refund, I decided to take a look around. My old Flexsteel had popped a spring, and because it was kind of beat up, I thought a new recliner might make a nice treat. They had some BEAUTIFUL floor models, and had catalogs showing almost any variation you could think of if you wanted a different color or material. In some cases, they had less expensive options if you don't have a premium brand budget. After running into some health issues, I had to take a new recliner off my wish list. However, being an authorized Flexsteel dealer, they were able to assist me with the repair of my old recliner. Because Flexsteel offers a lifetime warranty on their springs, I was able to breathe new life into my old recliner, and my back has thanked me! If you have a repair done, just be ready to wait. Those things take time, but totally worth the wait. I'm grateful for their help, and when I have a recliner budget, I'm heading back as fast as I can to get one!

The prices are reasonable for the quality of work. This store is run by a non-profit artist organization, The Pillar Group. There's another similar shop at College Mall in Bloomington, where Victoria's Secret once stood past Target. The art is diverse and has a local and Indiana theme to it. While most jewelry is focused towards women, there are a few pieces of men's gear. It has the feel of a gift shop, and indeed there are greeting cards, and wrapping available for purchases. It's a very wide variety of handmade art, and it's all well-presented. I'm embarrassed how much I've purchased here; the values are pretty good for what I look for. Parking is downtown-crappy, but the store is bright and easy to shop.

If you enjoy looking at hand crafted items like wall hangings, ceramics, and small items that can be gifts for either your friends or for yourself. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed any assistance. Even when I explained that I only stopped in to pass time while my wife shopped next door, he said he understood and to feel free to browse and ask questions. I was feeling welcomed, not watched or like I was wasting his time. That's good business. I really enjoyed looking over the items. I don't do a lot of decorating in our home, but I did see things here that I thought would look nice. Some items are what I would call over priced and make sure to look everything over before taking it home. These items come from all over so you get a mixed bag.
