Beware! You may get into a fight WITH THE EMPLOYEES! I will never come here again. I was there celebrating 2 birthdays having a great time when a couple of the employees making pizzas behind the glass started threatening my son, they wanted to fight him, really WTF. My son told me a few of the workers just keep staring at him then started to mouth threats at him. To make matters worse the manager did absolutely nothing about it. He came over and apologized but didn't stop them because he said it will leave them shorthanded, Really! I have never had anything like this happen here or any other restaurant. I do not recommend going here if you have young adults they may get threatened or worse yet may get into a fight. I have lived in Antioch for a long time and this is a place I have been to several times through out the years... back when they kept sawdust on the floor! I think the pizza is really good! The price however is high when you have a large family that can eat so we don't go too often. I used them for my rehearsal dinner last year since I wanted something affordable and low key. I called about a month in advance and reserved tables in the back area. The back area is nice. There are several tables...lighting and even a small play structure for young children. I have noticed several little league teams will meet here as well. I purchased several different pizzas.. salads... soda wine. Everything came out together and I had no complaints, the price was reasonable for me as well to host 20 or so people compared to a more formal sit down place. I was pleased with my decision and will continue to dine here. read more

I usually go to the one in Concord but today I tried the one in antioch and I was so disappointed. We asked for sausage and pepperoni and the they were so stingy with the sausage we barley got any. The crust was hard as a rock I almost broke a tooth. We got 2 mediums and a large pizza and they gave us barley any condiments. Their meat pizza is EPIC. They LOAD one topping pizzas with a but load of toppings. I ordered a simple pepperoni pizza once and was actually surprised by the crazy amount of pepperoni on my pizza. I've heard people say their sauce is "too zesty" or some garbage. Their sauce is delicious. If you like FLAVOR then you'll like their sauce. SERVICE SUCKS!!!! I called to place a order to go. We have been going to this one for yearsThe service has been getting worse each time. Today was the worst. The guy that answered the phone should not be dealing with the customers. I gave my phone number and he then said my name. He was hard to hear and I kept telling him that but he never did anything about it. He took my order and read it back to me the whole time kept saying um, um, um. He kept saying give me a minute but never said why, then wasn't saying anything like he didn't know how to end a phone call. I guess he was done because then he just hung up. Then when I arrived to pick up the order they have no record of it. They then say they have someone who is in training. The manager offered to rush my order through. Pizza is very good here and pretty filling. I love the BBQ chicken pizza which usually I hate chicken on pizza because usually tastes weird being frozen. The salads are nothing extravagant but decent. Is on the pricey side for pizza but then again their pizza isn't your normal pizza. Decently good pizza. Would have been REALLY good but the crust had some black on the bottom. A bit too dark for my liking but not ruined. That might have been a one off mistake. Overall the sauce, toppings and cheese used were very high quality and the flavor was top notch. My only real complaint is the price. I have to remove 1 star for exorbitant price. There are several pizza places doing this and I just don't think a pizza should ever be hitting the near $50 mark. It's dough and cheese, come on. With salad, delivery and tip I passed $60. Crazy in love with Skipolini's Pizza! My family has been going there for years and we are always happy with the food and service. Our favorite pizza is the Pesto Primavera with some sausage and garlic sauce added to it. We start off with their amazing chicken wings or stuffed jalapenos. We also love their Caesar salad and traditional Italian house salad. They've always got great beer on tap for my husband and I order the Sangria (yum). All around, a great experience! read more

I have been going to Skipolini's since I was about 10, and I absolutly love it! We started going here because my mother was pregnant at the time and they have this pizza that'll make you go into labor... YUP it worked LOL!! And I guess thats where my younger brother came from. haha j/k But the pizza is great! we usually grab a pitcher of beer and eat outside on the huge patio (rain or shine). The pizza is the best, no question, and their beer selection is not bad. I was wrong by expecting the same level of service that I'm used to at the Concord store. We stood in front of the counter for at least 5 minutes before we were acknowledged. The place was not at all busy, for a second I thought that we were at the wrong place, the sawdust on the floor hinted the place was under construction. We've lived in antioch for close to 20 years and skipolini's has always been the standard in which we measured other pizzas. I mean, you can go to a pizza chain like Roundtable and you know what you're going to get, a pretty standard and decent pie. Skipolinis is one of those smaller type places that if you're lucky enough to live near, you treasure. Unfortunately, times are changing. Skipolinis has never been inexpensive, but as a treat every once in awhile, it used to be worth it. The antioch location has slowly but surely gone down hill. From the rude, why are you bothering me staff, to the faltering quality of food, we've seen our visits here decrease significantly. My wife, daughter and I decided to get a pie on a Saturday early evening, about 4pm. The outdoor area was packed but there was plenty of seating inside. We had a coupon that we just received for. $32 large 2 topping pie and salad and pitcher of soft drink. Upon presenting the coupon, we were informed that the coupon was "old" and they've had to raise prices. So instead of honoring a coupon that had no expiration date and that we just received, they informed me that they would be charging us $39 for the deal. I didn't complain, and paid for the meal. The cashier seemed like she was bothered with us being there, there were no pleasantries, and not a smile to be had, but ok. We took a seat inside and waited for our food. The salad arrived which was lettuce, beets onions and garbanzos, along with 3 plates. The waitress did not say one word to us. About 5-10 minutes later the pizza arrived and she placed the pie down and walked away. My wife asked if we were supposed to use the salad plates for the pizza and it didn't bother me any, but she preferred a clean plate so she asked someone behind the counter for one. The pizza was just ok. I mean, I love the crust, but the pizza has become so incredibly soggy. I don't remember it being that way in the past. We ordered salami and mushrooms, and the mushrooms were so thick on top of the pizza that some of them didn't even taste cooked. It was like raw mushrooms on my pizza. Plus as mushrooms cook they give off liquid which did not help the already soggy crust. You couldn't pick up a slice and eat with your hands because it would just be a floppy mess. I would consider going back if the service had been better, but man, you need to change out the doom and gloom faces for people that want to be there.
