I feel that the services are overpriced, but that is not the reason I am making this review. Nor am I arguing whether or not it was a consultation, or what is the correct term to use for the regimen handout. I am stating that it was NOT made clear that that was what was happening or that I would be charged for it. The whole point is that I was unaware it was a "full consultation." I highly recommend improving communication at this establishment. In summary, I never booked a consultation, nor did I ask for one, and there was most certainly miscommunication on the part of the employees. I did not make the realization until I was charged for it, and at the time did not know how to advocate for myself, so I simply paid and left, but that was not fair to myself. Hence, this review.

Yet when the salon failed to show up for my appointment, there was no comparable accountability. Afterward, they apologized and offered me a complimentary session to make up for the inconvenience. I appreciated the gesture, but when I later texted to schedule that complimentary appointment, my messages were ignored. Offering to make things right doesn't mean much if you don't follow through. I also want to address their explanation about the bags outside. They said they weren't trash but clean towels from their towel service waiting to be brought inside. I actually find that explanation even more concerning. I arrived early and didn't leave until about 20 minutes after my appointment time, meaning those clean towels had been sitting outside on the street for well over an hour. If those towels were intended for customer use, leaving them outside exposed to the environment and the public for that length of time doesn't reflect the level of cleanliness I expect from a salon. I wasn't able to come back later that same day for the complimentary appointment because, after waiting so long with no one arriving, I had already walked down the street and gotten my lashes done by another lash artist. Overall, this experience reflected poor appointment management, poor communication, and a lack of follow-through. Having a confirmed appointment, completing the required paperwork, waiting over half an hour with no one showing up, not hearing from the salon until 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment, and then being ignored when trying to redeem the promised complimentary service was incredibly disappointing. Talking to me about the products I use, she quickly deduced my problem was most likely dry (not excess oil) skin and a lack of hydration from overusing bha's at too high of a concentration. I was skeptical at first but doubling down on moisturizing and discontinuing harsh acids ultimately fixed the issue . I plan on still coming for a tume up her or there. Only crit is that the skincare products sold there are ok (I got the toner and it unfortunately didn't get along great with the rest of my products but maybe you'll have better luck).
