Well, I had a great hydrafacial, but they kept selling me on other treatments and buying packages like a membership. Unfortunately, I followed their recommendation to try an Emface, falling for the line that I would need at least four sessions to see results. A mistake! I'm down $4K and not sure if it had any effect.. Each session cost $1K and consisted of turning on a machine for 20 minutes. I should have followed my instinct and just tried one session first. I was pretty nervous coming into this appointment since I've never had a facial before, but I got recommended to Total Glow by a good family friend and wanted to give it a try. Their office is on the 2nd floor, so make sure you take the stairs up. I was welcomed in by Vy who also saw me through my consultation and did my facial. I'll summarize my experience below: 1. Consultation/Photo analysis This portion lasted about 15 minutes. I had photos taken of my face and it generated these scans that showed the bacteria level, pigmentation and texture of my skin. I did not expect it to be so informative but it was so educational. Vy explained my scans to me and she even gave me the scientific breakdown of why those conditions appear and also the necessary steps I needed to take to improve them. Aside from the facial itself I think this is probably the most beneficial portion of the entire appointment since it was really good information that I could keep and apply long term. And to be honest, it reassured me that the one I was entrusting my face to actually knew what she was doing, which made the entire facial a lot less nerve-racking for me. 2. Facial: Alright, now onto the actual facial. I was directed to a private room where Vy walked me through the three steps of their signature hydra facial. 1) Cleansing This portion is where she prepped my skin for the extraction portion. She wiped it down, gave me a face massage and put a warm towel on to open up my pores. 2) Extraction Vy utilized this suction tool and she basically went over every inch of my face so that whatever gunk was in my pores would be sucked out. Thankfully, it did not hurt at all and the suction was gentle. I have a problem with clogged pores so I was really counting on this and it did its job. 3) Hydration This is the last step and the most enjoyable and relaxing part of the entire facial. Vy wipped up a vitamin "cocktail" using Environ products as a face mask. Prior to this she also put this LED light mask on me which she explained helps with fine lines and wrinkles, and also pigmentation and redness from my acne. Overall, I was just impressed at how much was included in this facial as this is my first experience and it felt so luxurious. Special thanks to my aesthetician Vy, she made the experience so comfortable and reassuring and hopeful. I ended up grabbing one of their toners and she gave me a sample of their body oil which she rubbed on my arms during the facial after I asked her what she used since it made my skin so soft. Clean facility, luxurious facial experience, very helpful consultation and warm customer service. I honestly don't have any negatives to give. This place is amazing! First off when I walked in I had a lovely chat with the woman at the front desk named Roya. She was sweet kind and welcoming. My esthetician Vy met me and brought me to the back room. As I walked to the room I noticed the lounge area- it was pristine cleanliness and a pure relaxation environment. My facial with Vy was what my skin needed. We used a Visia Machine that detects the damage on your skin and problem areas. So this facial we focused on restoring hydration back to my skin and using Environ AVST gel to restore skin barrier and stimulate better skin. I ended up purchasing it as well. The consistency was super smooth. I also really liked the hydrafacial because it didn't irritate my skin as it was cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating! Vy was super helpful and sweet with her recommendations on products and how to keep up my routine at home. This was my first time at Total Glow and my first facial ever and it was such a great experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and prompt. You receive a skin consultation right at the beginning that tells you how your skin is doing and the healing starts from there. I have dry skin so that was my big concern. My aesthetician was Sayaka and she was so professional and caring! She walked me though every facial procedure she was doing to keep me informed and made sure I was comfortable the during the process. The cleaning felt really soothing, and didn't hurt at all. She did apply a cleaner that stung for 30 seconds but it went away fast. This felt like a spa! The soft music and aromas made it feel like you were away on an island. After the treatment, Sayaka explained how to take care of my skin properly, steps to take each day, and recommended products that will help keep my skin young and hydrated. I paid for both emsculpt and emsculpt neo, both the intro and 10 pack one and I noticed little to no results at the end. That's the bottom line, honest review of my results. I workout everyday, twice strength training and the other days cardio. I go hiking once a week if I can't do cardio that week. I maintain a fairly healthy diet as well. Lets elaborate more. Service wise, everyone is friendly there's no doubt about it. It smells nice, the environment is pleasant and most importantly, comfortable. However, if you try to schedule appointments, it's definitely difficult. I don't understand how they could sell treatment packages, recommend coming every week, but not have any time slots opening. In other words, there's no set bookings for your chosen/assigned/given nurse. One time, my usual nurse was unavailable and her replacement, was horrendous. I'm a pretty chill person, but this woman did not close the blinds when the sun was in my eye even after I asked her, and responded "you'll be okay." ?!?!? And was harsh when placing the instrument on my body. I'm glad I never saw her again, but it's also concerning to me, because I was never notified ahead of time that my usual nurse wasn't available. Lastly, they take a before and after pictures (if you request for it ) and I asked for my pictures so I could see a PHYSICAL difference. Then, it would influence my choice on whether or not I decide to buy more packages. Guess what? Their system broke down and when I logged onto the app, the before pictures weren't present, and only my after pictures were. When I texted and told them the issue, they said it would be up in a couple of days. Week goes by. Nothing. Do I think this is a cash grab? Yes and no; if you've got skin issues, this place might be it? Or if you've got a nearly flat tummy already (there has been some positives about the emsculpt ‍) then it might be? Overall: I do NOT recommend, nor will I ever come back. Again, it's not terrible, but my personal, honest experience was subpar. read more

My esthetician today was Sayaka and her service was absolutely amazing. Before my facial, Sayaka took me to a room for an in depth skin analysis. The device used photographed my face and identified my problem areas (pores, wrinkles, sun exposure, etc.) and showed me the "age" of my skin versus my actual age which was something I had never experienced before! Sayaka has so much knowledge about every product and explained each product and how it would benefit my skin throughout the facial which I really appreciated as someone who is fairly new to skincare. We did the Hydrafacial along with dermaplaning which left my skin looking absolutely flawless and plump after. During the facial treatment she also incorporates 30 minutes of relaxing massage which was amazing! Sayaka has so many skills and put together the absolute best service for me. Sayaka is so kind and has such a warm aura. I felt so comfortable with her. I would recommend her to anyone who is new to skincare or anyone who is looking for complete relaxation! I had a hydrafacial done at Total Glow by Vy and the results immediately after and the next day was amazing! My appointment started off with a full skin analysis using the Visia machine where it takes photos of your entire face to analyze the top and bottom layers. This machine also tells your true skin age which I was happy to see my skin age is my true age! Even though the images looked concerning, Vy reassured me that they are actually normal to have and was not bad at all so that was a relief to me. During the facial she started off with cleansing my skin which was really nice as I came in for my appointment immediately after work. Then she started using the machine which I have done this specific facial before somewhere else so I remembered how it felt. She covered my face and my neck! She also applied a few products on my face neck and chest which was a nice touch with a soft massage of products into my arms and hands too. It was such a nice treat after a long day of work. A few years later and I am adding a little update to my review. Total Glow, is as always, incredible. I have been getting facials here and using all Environ products for years now and it has totally changed my skin. I had a decent amount of sun damage from being a competitive sailor in my youth, and Total Glow facials coupled with Environ Products have eliminated so much of the sun damage and made my dry, sometimes acne-prone skin totally smooth and plump. It has also made my skin much more resilient to the sun. Skincare-wise- Total Glow is the best you can find. I live in LA and I still only want them to touch my face! In addition to my regular skincare, I recently got lip filler and Botox for the first time ever from the wonderful Nurse Cindy at Total Glow. I am in my mid 30's and was starting to see some fine lines, as well as loss of volume in my lips, the upper one especially. When I heard that Total Glow was offering injections I knew I was in good hands because the owner, Terrie, only works with the best. Nurse Cindy was extremely attentive and checked in with me several times after our appointment to make sure I was happy with the results. We had a consult first and talked about what my concerns were as well as what kind of results I was looking for. I wanted to still look like myself, just fresher. Cindy gave me botox in my forehead for frown lines, and on the sides of my eyes for crow's feet. It's amazing- I can still totally express my face but the areas that were really starting to crease are now smooth. For my lips, she really talked me through it and made me feel comfortable, and she made them look plump and symmetrical again- I love them. She numbed them first and had me ice them directly after- so they healed quite quickly. It's been a week and a half and they feel totally healed. I came here on 10/12/2023 for my first facial ever, which is great. Upon arrival I was graciously greeted by the front desk representative Roya, we went over a bit about what I was experiencing during my facial, she asked me questions about skin care, and just made the environment feel warm and welcoming. The whole experience with Roya felt authentic, which I really appreciated, the crew there is very friendly. If you're looking for a welcoming environment, this is the place for you. While waiting, I took in all the neatly/methodically placed decorations and products. I was told the owner is into Feng Shui, which is evident in the aforementioned decor. They also have an aquarium with sea anemones, which is beautiful. I was then greeted by Lucia, the aesthetician doing my facial. We debated whether to do the Oxygen Facial or the HydraFacial, I ended up doing the HydraFacial. Overall, the facial was everything I've ever dreamed of, in short it felt like a hybrid between skin care & a deep tissue massage. I absolutely loved it. I live and work in Beverly Hills and my experience at Total Glow surpassed any treatments I've received in LA. 1. I came in with dehydrated, lackluster skin. I took my mother to get a late Mother's Day facial. She had the Signature hydrafacial done. This is my mom's first ever facial and I'm so glad she was able to experience it at Total Glow. I was quite disappointed with my hydra facial experience. I recently moved to the area and Total Glow was recommended by my sister who likes the clinic. After being greeted by my esthetician at the front door, who in my opinion wasn't very personable or welcoming, she took my pictures with their Visia machine which I thought was impressive. As a nurse, I love pt education. I had to initiate and ask her what the machine does, what the percentage means etc. and she would simply answer them. I didn't feel like there was much evaluation or recommendation of what I should focus or work on, which in my opinion is the purpose of the machine. After getting into the room, another girl came in and said that she was new and will be helping. She cleaned and prepped my skin and said the esthetician will be in soon. After a couple of minutes, the 1st esthetician came in and did the treatment with the device and left without saying anything. Then the 2nd girl came back to apply the mask and wrapped up my session. I was also surprised that they didn't apply any serum to finish the facial. I asked for sunscreen and she did apply that, maybe it's a moisturizing sunscreen? This was my first time getting a "hydra facial" so maybe that's normal? Overall, my expectation was not met. It was not a relaxing nor fun/informative session. Maybe it was just a bad/busy day but that shouldn't be an excuse. I don't mind new clinician training on me but would have preferred them working together the whole time vs going in and out which is distracting. They both had a very different energy. I did the hydra facial with Sayaka at Total Glow Wellness, it was an amazing experience! it was total 285$ but worth every penny; atmosphere was on point with all the ambience and relaxation music played in the background, you can't but fall asleep when she takes care of you! and if you become a member of course you are gonna get extra perks and some very good knowledgeable friends here, at the end of the day we all need to take care of our skin, if you want to look pretty! My facial was comfortable with a heated bed, but My face broke out afterwards. Booked the facial because they told me that I could use the cost of the consultation towards the facial, however after a bunch of back and forth, I didn't get a proper quotation or recommendation after that visit, and they had asked me to come back again for another consultation for which they would charge me?! I've been coming to Total Glow for over two years. I first met with Svitlana for my first facial and Visia consultation. I am in my late 30's and did not have a good skin care routine and it was showing. I loved Svitlana's honesty from the start. She didn't sugarcoat anything but made me feel that we could start reversing some of the damage and issues I have. I have done the monthly Hydrofacial program with Svitlana since. She has taught me so much about my skin and has made great recommendations for products they carry. I finally feel that I have gotten some control of my skin. For my experience, one unfortunate word comes to mind: Incompetence. I contacted them and like other reviews have mentioned, scheduling here is brutal. I emailed, texted and called numerous times before I could schedule. I filled out their online form to be contacted. Lucia replied and told me to text (weird, a normal business will respond and schedule or just call you but I had to reach out again). I was asked to fill out paperwork and give them my card info all of which I provided immediately. Then it was a week of text tag with Lucia who wouldn't schedule me and I kept having to follow up with her multiple times. I get that it was around the holidays; what I don't get is why you're a professional establishment that does have a scheduling calendar where you can just book me for the first available after the holidays. I got fed up and tried calling again and got Meravic who seemed more pleasant to work with. I told her I was interested in skin tightening for the abdomen area and we talked about Exilis and she scheduled me for the following week. Finally I was happy, but also irritated because a client shouldn't have to follow up over 5x to get scheduled. The day before my consultation, I got a text from Lucia saying they can do a face treatment for me and I was extremely confused and irritated. I get on the phone with her and she says they no longer offer skin tightening on the abdomen. Again, irritated for so many reasons, I pointed out that on their website it literally says they have several treatments for skin tightening AND I had spoken to Merevic who booked me for Exilis consultation. Why was I scheduled for it just a week earlier if you don't have it and why would you text me the day before my consultation and not explain it and just brush it off by texting me you can get me in for a face treatment when that's not what I need? I had follow up questions and have not heard back since. I go to many top rated meds spas and surgeons offices and Total Glow has been the most unprofessional and incompetent. I don't know what is going on over there but I can't fathom how they can treat potential clients like this who were excited to spend thousands of dollars here. I had an appointment with Tina this past Saturday and I have noticed a big difference with my skin! I tried to make an appointment as a new patient last week and was able to get an appointment right away. Tina made me feel comfortable and it was very relaxing. What I like about this fairly new upscale skin care so far with its signature hydra facial: 1. Extraction is by a tool that usually does not hurt like the conventional manual extraction, which is unique & much welcome! 2. It uses more machines like the red LED light on the face than traditional methods, 3. Comfortable waiting area with complimentary tea & snacks, 4. Each esthetician so far is friendly, 5. Lovely treatment room with a table that can be adjusted. 6. The high fee of $195 (or half-an-hour session is $145) includes tips which customers can pay with the credit cards What I wish... that there was more facial massage which is not the priority of this type of facial method. But even when shoulders & arms were being massaged (tended while a mask is on), they are nothing special. I've tried a few of the estheticians, while they are all friendly, each one has her own style, and once the blackheads on my nose was overlooked, so when I went back again about a month later, the extraction by the machine was uncomfortable for the 1st time. I need to speak up as everyone is to do so if you have any questions. I also need to find out what the facial skin analysis performed @ the 1st visit by a photo machine means as there has not been a follow-up to check whether my skin has been transformed by this different kind of facial after a few treatments. The $195 for an hour facial is reserved for 1st-time customers & members whose credit card would be charged on the 1st day of each month. That means members have at least 1 monthly facial treatment. If for some reasons one wish to do another facial during the month, one can pay another $195 instead of a higher regular rate of $245. I splurged & got myself 3 expensive Environs products hoping to improve my face with pigmentations, plus a blush as sunscreen & a lotion for my kids but I misplaced them & still needed to recover them somewhere in my home... For a few months now, Carol has been the new front desk person to help book appts, pick up payments, serve teas, answers questions, etc.. Before she becomes a regular, every esthetician would take turns to do the front desk duties, so it was till Carol who explains how the membership works, that I have 1 guarantee monthly facial, but like everything else, I need to remember & be proactive at booking the appt, otherwise no one would remind you to do so. read more
