We had an existing front storm door than no longer would latch without Sumo wrestling with it--the door was seriously out of alignment. We were prepared to just replace it with a new door, but Skinner's door technician thought it could be adjusted to work. Great experience with this company. They were very timely with information, scheduling for estimate and they were right on time with their estimate on when the doors would be ready. The doors look amazing and fit very nicely in the frame. The seal is so good that nothing is going to get in. The installer noticed some minor scratches that weren't very noticeable on the front door and instead of trying to hide that he told is right away. We were given the option of keeping the door installed until they could come back with a new door or they would give us a discount on the door. I would highly recommend them. I reached out to Skinner's for an estimate for a sliding screen door for my back patio. They came out within a few days of my initial call to take measurements and give an estimate. While I didn't get quotes from other companies, Skinner's quote seemed more than reasonable. Since our door was not the custom height we had been having problems being able to get the door to remain open if we were carrying something. The brace was installed too high. Let me start with as of today, still no window. I'm 2 days away from 20 weeks for a window I was told from the start at worst was going to be only 8 weeks! Here let's start from the being. February 8th a gentleman sells me a window telling me he apologies but do to Covid the best he could do is 8 weeks for my window! I really hesitated, I really didn't want to wait that long. To try a expedite things, I order it on the spot and paid in full with him still at my house. Eight weeks go by... crickets... no email, no phone call... nothing! I call them on week nine, but I'm informed that my window will now take another seven to eight weeks!! I'm floored, not only because I'm just now hearing about this, but at their level of professionalism! Why wasn't I told about this? I get crickets again from Kim. No email updating me on this? No phone call to let me know? Nothing. I'm guess logistic isn't their finest quality at Skinner's Custom Screens and window. But wait it gets better! Week fifteen comes and goes, and week sixteen arrives, again I call them asking where my window is? Kim informs me they don't know? She really tells says that! I think two or three days later she calls me to tell me it's on a truck! But they don't know where that truck is! Again mind just blown! Week seventeen, again it's on a truck here but they don't know where!! People, a majority of freight trucks are built with GPS trackers on them. Guess what, there's is a reason for this! I'm starting to think they have a giant Rolodex of excuses! Your telling me it's been on a truck on site for two weeks, and you can't find it? Basically yes, but they are working hard to try and find it Kim tells me! I'm so excited to hear that! ( insert sarcasm) Finally on Friday of week eighteen I'm told they found it, but it won't be till next week till they can install it. Oh and they don't know when next week, but they'll let me know.. again logistics is not present here at ALL! Monday week nineteen I get an email confirmation that on Thursday it will be installed first thing in the morning, a 10am target arrival time. Then Wednesday I get a phone call from Kim at 2:30pm again confirming the installer will be there in the morning. Now at 8:38pm on Wednesday night Mike writes me an email explaining that is installer has a personal emergency and can't make it! And we won't be able to install it until next Tuesday, that's almost a WEEK later! I mean really after almost 20 weeks with countless excuses you can't get someone to do an extra window at 6pm? Or on the weekends? I mean this is really the best you can do Mike? Again managment, people, logistics, extremely poor!! I can't say enough how extremely disappointed I've been on countless times by everyone I've dealt with from this company!! read more

The door fits perfectly- he was the one that came out and measured existing frame and spent time making sure he understood exactly what we wanted and exactly what he was going to do when our door came in.
