This is not appropriate, and you should not be left bleeding after getting your ears waxed. To be fair, I have been here before and not had an issue. Tracy was professional and did a really good job. The room itself was really relaxing, with low lights a big comfy table. I have always wanted to know what was inside that building/house especially with that gorgeous curved front door. Passed it so many times on University. Parking was easy and nice to have designated parking spots for Bare Philosophy. Walked in and had no idea that you had to take your shoes off. I get for cleanliness sake and winter bringing water/salt, but I wasn't expecting it. I walked in and noticed another patron standing inside with her socks on so I followed suit. I didn't notice behind me that they provide slides to wear after you take off your shoes. There was no staff downstairs so no one to greet me or give instructions. There was a sign that said they were short staffed and to help yourself. It was the day before Christmas Eve. Really pretty inside and welcoming. Lots of areas to look at product. There was a coffee machine. Old historical charm throughout! The other client got brought back and I just was standing around. I finally heard someone in the foyer area and was checked in at that point and brought back to a large room for my eyebrow appointment. We spoke a bit about eyebrow shape and how she likes to keep things natural/follow your natural shape. Can always take off more later if I wanted. I think my eye wax was all of five minutes. Trimming, a few strips of waxing, and then tweezing and that's it. Let me have a look in the mirror and I was happy for the most part. I should've asked to trim my eyebrows a little more. But overall content with the shape. I wish there was something to put on my skin afterwards to calm it down since I get red easily. Again, the whole process was super quick, didn't feel overly personalized with an eye brow shaping/waxing but the job got done. The staff who did my brows was very nice and we made conversation throughout my service. I felt comfortable and no pain with the waxing/tweezing. Afterwards, she checked me out and you can give a tip on a card. $20 is a fair price for an eyebrow wax, what I was paying for at another place in the area.

The worse recent experience to where I had to cancel my membership. Has Denise for the first time…read more She stopped to check her phone multiple times while doing my lash and then stopped in the middle to get more lashes as if she was not prepared for the service. Secondly, I had my ear buds in I took a call while others around me were having active conversations, Denise proceeds to tell me she received a text from up front that told her that I was on my phone and no phone calls are allowed. So I proceeded to ask the proposing question "if you could not see my ear buds in how did anyone notice I was taking a phone call rather than just having a casual conversation with you Denise?" Which tells me that she was lying but rather having discussions on her phone (texting) rather than performing a service. Then Denise tells me she needs more lashes. This is very odd given you should know whom you are servicing and have your area prepared and ready for the customer. I opened up eyes and seeing Denise coming back from the front. To me this is very unprofessional service. I tell Denise that I decline her services and to take the items off my face. She tried to justice all actions but at this point I wanted to leave. I go up front, to understand the situation and now I'm in encounter with rude and confrontational manager Amanda. I told her my issue and which I never had an issue as I am a stellar tipper and had no issues with anyone else. She gets defensive and rude; pretty much insensitive and trying to justify the poor behavior and treatment that lash lounge did display at this appointment. From her facial expression to how she acted during the discussion does not reflect manager and I am quite disappointed. Amanda needs more training or really needs to be fired at this point, she has been the reason why senior lash associates and others have left due to conflicts. Businesses should be held to its upmost highest standards and Amanda does lack those capabilities. This is not high school it shouldn't be ran as such. I will not be returning to lash lounge due to the professionalism lacking.
