Got my first upper lip & chin wax here. It went pretty smoothly, there was barely any pain. The wax lady was knowledgeable and gentle with me. I use to love this place and I never remember why I stopped going and I went for mother's day and remembered instantly. Came in for a full body polish with Mari. It's started with a body Enzyme that had to activate for 10 min then I rinsed off with a body wash, exfoliate, body oil, and topped off with body butter! My skin is 2 shades lighter and I'm glowing. I highly recommend this service. My only issue was when checking out. I was told a certain promo over the phone and when I checked out it was something different. Seemed like everyone wasn't on the same page about the promotion! My amazing facial by Pam. I had an appointment at 11:00 am. I arrived at 11:05 am and before I could sit down, I was placed in a room. I had a gown and a hair wrap to put on. I really wanted to love this place especially because it is a black owned business but I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. I went for the teens facial and for the free follow up and both times I ended up staying there from 3-4 hours for a facial that should've taken less time. The response I got was they over booked the 2 times I came and it was a "sad inconvenience". There were several moments where the esthetician left me in the room for more than 20 minutes just for her to realize the steamer was not working. Even when I came for a follow up appointment there were several time she would leave and come back several minutes later. Thankfully, I've had facials in the past and know such behaviors is not normal. I got there at 1 and left at 4 twice which is why you must pay me to go back. I just bought their face wash and bump serum and I would have expected that they at least would fill the bottles up. The bump serum is already a tiny bottle and they only filled it half way. I decided to go back today to purchase products and as I opened the door, a very rude employee ran to the door and said "we're not open, I have to mop" and closed the door back. Unacceptable Let me start by saying I am being generous giving this place 2 stars, its only because I like the products. Facial service gets a -1. I visited this place on January 5, 2019 for a facial, I arrived on time and was shown right in. My appointment was with Gwen but another person showed me to my room and put the steamer on my face. After 20 minutes of that Gwen comes in, looks at my face and talks to me for about 5 minutes and left. 30 minutes later she comes in, does a few extractions, puts a mask on my face (that took all of 8 minutes) and leaves again. 15 mins later the person that initially shows me in, removes the mask and puts some other cream on my face (that took 5 minutes) and says I'm done. I was there for an hour and half and they spent a total of 15 minutes on my face. Gwen couldn't even be bothered to come in and see how the facial went! I never like to give a negative review without giving the company a chance to address the issue, so I called and left a total of 4 messages for the owner over the last 2 months and never got a reply. I pre-purchased 3 facials at their annual Customer Appreciation and I have 1 more left. I would rather lose the money and the last facial then to waste my time at this place ever again. I'll find somewhere else to purchase my products as well. Do yourself a favor, go down the street to Massage Envy for a facial; it may cost a little more but you get in on time, the esthetician never leaves the room, and you get great customer service from a knowledgeable esthetician. I had the facial starter package and it was much needed because I haven't had a facial in over 10 years.
