The Good: To start there is no business signage on the front or any type of indication that this is " Uncovered LA" literally just an all black storefront, with blacked out windows and a black iron gate door. Once you walk in though, it is very nice and looks neat and clean. Max who usually does my waxing, is pleasant. She does small talk to catch up and tries give breaks to relieve you through the waxing process which can be painful. The bad: she doesn't use any type of protective barriers on the waxing table which i find very unhygienic. I remember she stopped investing in the paper roll that you use to cover the table similar to what they use in a doctor's office before you sit on the examination table. She started reusing towels instead which i still think is pretty unsanitary. She also use reuses wash cloths to wipe your sensitive areas down and that just freaks me out every time. I've never had someone reuse wash cloths always a fresh warmed wipe. I even thought about bringing my own supplies like I do at the nails salon to not get a fungal infection, but I shouldn't have to do all that. The Ugly: my last visit I unfortunately received a bad bacterial infection after getting a wax from Max. I remember her looking for a towel to put down on the table and couldn't find one and i was in a super rush to catch a flight later that day so i just had her wipe down the black waxing table with a sanitizer wipe and i got it done. She used this same white wash cloths as per usual to wipe me down afterwards. Later that day I started to feel uncomfortable "down there" and had discharge that hasn't stoped since I go back from my trip. When I got checked, I was told it was a bacterial infection and I wont go into to much details, but I find myself having to wear a pantie liner EVERYDAY which is something I've NEVER had to worry about before. I waited a long time to post this review because I didn't want to negatively impact her business, but this experience has really changed my life and the money that I have to constantly spend on liners was definitely not worth a $60 Brazilian wax. Needless to say, I was naïve and really should have voice my concerns, but what an expensive lesson to lean. Ladies please take care of your health and always speak up if something doesn't feel right to you especially when paying for a service.

Also, Mae is an expert with over 25 years as an Estetician so I knew I was in good hands. Procell is a newer technology and experts (and clients) are saying that it's producing better results than Microneedling with PRP aka The Vampire Facial. Increasing collagen, decreasing lines, minimizing pores and lifting skin is what it's known to do. I'm all about PREVENTION so I went in and had my first of 3 treatments. It wasn't uncomfortable and there was no bleeding involved. Very pleased with the results and will return for my next 2 treatments!

I chose the mini facial because I wasn't sure which facial might be best for my skin, but Mae took care of me! There wasn't anything mini about this facial, she took her time and went longer on me than my appointment time was for, so I definitely appreciated her for doing that. She even offered me some free samples to help with my skin at home. I ended up buying a mask from her that she recommended and the mask was $35 so that surprised me. Most places I've gone to usually recommend products that are $75+ The free and ample parking near the shop is definitely a plus as well!

I was prepared for flinching and pain each pull like with my sugaring, but there was no need! Liz was fantastic! Experienced, positive vibe, and makes you feel completely comfortable. The wax actually felt relaxing when applied. I would give it 5 stars; however, I waited in the back building where there is one chair for about 10-15 minutes since I was early and had to listen to 2 other employees around the corner complain about everything (taxes, politics, jobs). It was mainly one girl talking, but maybe close the door for customers. It was way too early in the morning for that much complaining. Liz turned my experience around instantly with her energy though. The online scheduling experience and ladies at the counter were great. I had to re-schedule my appointment a couple days prior and they were accommodating and pleasant when I called. There are products and other things for sale to browse in the front room if you arrive early. They offered water upon arrival. Oh and they have a location in Seattle! Parking: Small private lot or ample street parking.
