With the stresses of a new location, work and school, my skin broke out worse than ever before. I have always had acne, but I hadn't broken out like this since I was 13. My boss recommended that I see Lauren and I am so glad I did! I first saw her for a light peel, then yesterday I went back for a full 2 hour facial. She started with steaming, cleansing and a mask and it was very relaxing. Then we moved on to the deep pore cleansing. Extractions are never fun, but she was as gentle as could be. Plus I've always heard that "beauty is pain". Lauren was very helpful and informative about the products she was using on my face. It's always fun to learn something new! She also gave me 2 samples products that she recommended I start using. Today (day after my facial) I woke up and my skin looks flawless! Noticed it had good reviews so decided to give it a try. I text Nikki and asked what her availability was like and what type of facial she recommended based on my skin condition. She was prompt in responding and recommended the Hydrafacial. I booked my appt online and confirmed it with her via text. I showed up to my appt and she was very welcoming and friendly. A few times when I'd get break outs I thought of seeking help but the bad memories of my last facial person would stop me. This time my face was out of control, I felt those itchy swollen things coming all over...I am going through a lot of stress and I knew that nothing I could do would help. I was incredibly lucky to find Christine, she is gentle but totally effective, she showed genuine concern about my skin, her "magic" room is fully equipped, clean, and comfortable. I remember that most times I'd go get a facial I'd be nagged for not taking care of my skin the same way a cosmetician would; instead of that, Christine showed me sympathy and gave me thorough orientation. She also answered all my questions patiently. Tiffany has now opened her own studio, The Peninsula Facialist, off of Tyler street. The only reason I feel inclined to yelp is that I have had to call and ask to have my appointments/membership canceled only for them to continuously not do so (i have called three times and each time given my info) and offer complimentary facials to keep me purchasing skincare from their studio (every time I have come in I have purchased at least 150 dollars in product)
