The end of a great day

This is one of my favorite ski resorts for so many reasons. A. about 30 min from downtown Montreal B. on Sunday night you can buy a ski pass for 15$ C. a nice selection of fresh starter (magic carpet style). beginners, advance and experts trails D. Great service in the rental area E. FOOD :), Nice cafeteria and cool pub for the hot-chocolate/beer break The only downside is that the trails are not very long but if this is the only down-side it is a great place.

Small hill, but perfect place to learn how to ski. It's close to Montreal and they offer Quebec's largest ski school. The coaching staff is super well organized & they ensure kids have a blast. Great atmosphere with music blaring too! Only downside is you quickly outgrow this tiny hill.

I was a bit dismayed to discover that they no longer sell secondhand skis, that was such a great service to the community, but in the end I went with new and was super happy with my decision. They offered an excellent price for the whole kit - boots, skis, and poles. They are pretty basic but exactly what I need, lightweight and comfortable and just my size. The service from everyone was friendly, chill, helpful, funny, just great. I love that they have a quality control station where someone makes sure everything you bought is in good working order before you go. And I love how much outdoor equipment they have from Montreal companies. Now... if it'll just stop raining...

Poubelle du Ski has been around for a long time and they know their stuff. They also have outdoor active wear like pants and coats. Some notes on ambiance. This place is normally packed so be patient. They'll get you what you need but sometimes the place is busting at the seams so a little patience goes a long way. Éric and Yan helped me out this time around and when I tell you these guys know what they're doing I mean it. I'm a hard for for boots both hockey and ski but these guys knew exactly what to grab if one bit wasn't working. My visit to be fitted for ski boots and hockey skates took a couple of hours but again that's down to me being a hard fit. Don't feel rushed by the atmosphere, take your time and pick the right boot or skate or coat or whatever it is you're looking for. The staff will never rush you.

Recently we decided to purchase new equipment and found that Daniel LaChance had the best selection by far, and their service was like nothing we've ever experienced before. We purchased custom-fit ski boots for our 2 sons, and the boot fitter was exceptional. It's an experience - but I highly recommend taking the time to get your boots properly fitted the way they do at Lachance. The gentleman who did the fitting was precise and meticulous, measuring their feet and molding the boots to every contour, bump, and detail. It took about 2 hours and several rounds of tweaking a pressure point here and a spot there. When we returned to Mont Tremblant this year, we needed adjustments to the boots, which they said happens sometimes. The Ski Shop did not hesitate to make sure we got what we needed, they got right to work on making the necessary adjustments, at no charge. They even stayed past closing time to complete the boot fitting. In addition to custom boot fitting, they have an incredible array of skis, boots, clothing, and accessories. Just a fantastic store, with great people. We are 100% satisfied with Daniel LaChance, best Ski Shop we've ever been to!
