This ferry links Parc Saint-Louis (Lachine) to Parc René-Lévesque (Lachine). If you want to get across the canal or just go on a ferry ride on a date or with children, this is a good option if you don't mind waiting around for it.
The ferry comes every 45 mins and stops at either side of the canal.
I took my 3 year old he loved it! They don't require life jackets and the ones they offer are NOT comfortable. My kid's ears were partially covered. You don't need it anyway so no biggie.
Also, it's a little, ok a LOT loud, the motor makes a lot of noise! Also there is not much of a canopy so you're in full sun on a hot day.
Still fun for $2 ($4 round trip)
Just google Parc Saint-Louis to find it. read more
