I hate having to walk around a store searching for something. Especially when someone can just let me know whether or not they have it in stock. I also love that they're pretty knowledgeable as well. They also usually recommend a few other places you can go to if you're looking for something they don't have. They are slightly more expensive than other stores that sell the same type of stuff.

We asked Beach River to replace the defective rusty hardware which involves removing and setting each shutter pair on a ladder. They first told us to hire a company do doing which we did not think was fair. They then indicated they would set up an appointment next month, then next season. The season came and went and now they will not return emails. We have to hire someone now to do this work that was jog our fault because they have opted to ignore us instead of ensuring their product looks good, which should be a win win for both of us. Disappointing.

The live plant selection is great too although as we don't have a home here, we weren't really looking for plants but they were beautiful. We stopped in browsing about, as one does when on vacation, and I was instantly entranced by their pies sitting out. They had one cut up for samples and it was amazing so on the strength of the sample (apple pie) we grabbed another (blueberry pie) on spec for later that evening. The pie was the best blueberry pie we've had this season. Who I assume was the owner told us that they're made by a local family and then sold in the store. They sell the pies ready-to-eat (baked) as well as ready-to-bake (refrigerated) in case you want to bake it at home. I'll be back for more pie. Bet on it.
