Mike did an amazing job. Dropped them on a dime and excellent clean up. 30 years as a Green Beret helicopter pilot shows. Always safety conscious and extremely skilled. He works deliberately and attentively. Mike did an initial assessment. A couple of trees he said were gone didn't look that bad. We deferred to his judgement and sure enough they were rotted out inside. Highly recommended.

I've driven by Home Comfort hundreds of times. Nice showroom and very nice stuff. When I talked to the flooring guy, he showed me the LVF samples. It seems that there's only one company they represent for this flooring. I asked him to ballpark a 1,200 Ft2 install and he said that they would come out and measure for an accurate estimate. Although this is true, I suppose, I wonder how he thought that answered my question? Deception didn't sell well with me, so off I went. I went to a place that was open, up-front informational, and they answered every question I asked - both before and after they came out to measure. I am very happy with the floor I got. Good luck with these guys at Home Comfort. They'll screw around with you if you're a bona fide customer ready to buy.

You did…read morenot fix the sloppy paint job nor the too tall glass fixtures in the kitchen, nor the badly hung lights in our Great Room. You did refund the one fixture in our kitchen, which was supposed to be hung with eight feet of chain but was installed at the very apex of a vaulted ceiling, but it took over a year of phone calls and emails for you to do so. You also never delivered the $600 worth of merchandise to us. My wife had to drive over and pick it up herself weeks after making the purchase. In your email response to my initial review, you wrote: "I can't help but wonder if this review was left as a retaliatory measure for something that I may have unknowingly done to cause either of you discomfort." You have apparently decided to consider a review based on poor service performance as "retaliation." We had been so happy with our interactions with the staff 11 years go that helped us decorate a lovely lakefront property. We recommended your store and your design services to several of our friends. But that was then. We will advise our friends these days to give their business to other more reputable businesses around the lake.

The woman who helped me was absolutely wonderful. She saw that I was walking with a cane, and she walked out into their yard and took pictures of several possibilities for me. Her suggestion was that I buy four cement blocks and simply place them on my patio for a step, and this suggestion was absolutely perfect. The total cost to me was less than seven dollars. I would say the employees at Gilbert Block spent between half an hour and an hour helping me for what must've been their smallest sale of the day. I have never been more impressed with customer service at any establishment I have ever done business with! The steady stream of customers were all receiving the cheerful service.
