The two young guys working that day were nice, but sure were lazy. I inquired about big kid cowgirl boots. One employee walked us back there but gave us the sense that they didn't have much therefore he wasn't going to help anymore. It seemed like with their nonchalant attitudes, the lack of size availability, and slim pickings in other sections that they were either short on supplies or going out-of-business. It seemed more like Wood's Boot Town. Their kid's boot's prices were similar to Cavendar's and other nearby western wear stores: + Kid's desert scene boots = $69.97 + Baseball thread boots (yes, that's what she wanted because "they are super comfortable, Mom.") = $58.50 Not hard to find, but kind of "out yonder" over on 19th Street west of Loop 289.

By the time we arrived the sizes were picked over so what I needed wasn't available. I love this new location for Lubbock's local shoe experts. It gives easier access to those of us…read morerunners on the south side of town. We're here, I promise! If you build it, we will come! If you're from out of town and more used to mainstream stores like Fleet Feet, you will not be disappointed coming to this store. It's quite similar. They seem to contract with only the most popular and biggest brands for mostly track and road runners. Think brands like On, Saucony, Brooks, Hoka, and Altra. But they also include Topo Athletic in their lineup, which appeals to me, even if it's only a few shoe models to choose from. Socks include Balega, Feetures, and others but no Injinji - a big bummer for me. They have a small smattering of running clothing, accessories, insoles, nutrition, watches, and other items. Selection is larger at their main location in town. As a specialty store, they have specialty store prices. That is to say, they can be a bit high. They are also, as mentioned, directed towards strictly road runners. I have not found trail running shoes here. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They are plugged into the local running community with a couple of running group meetings here per week. They even occasionally raffle off gift cards. Definitely your primary stop in town if you are a serious runner.

We were having trouble finding the black label Cinch jeans as well as the right fit for a particular sportcoat. Two different staff members assisted us. I am unaware of the young lady's name as she came off as very modest, giving sales credit to the young man, Kash, who also helped us. (Very cool that Kash was named after Johnny Cash.) My SO wasn't satisfied with the cowboy hat selections, so we went elsewhere for that. Overall, this place has good Western wear selections at prices that are not completely outrageous.

I have already ironed on a bunch of my patches I had been storing for years. Love it - especially for the price: $43.30 including tax. It's sturdy and has been easy to use during several trips to the range this far. Thanks also to this employee for directing my daughters to the clean restroom. I have flat feet, so it's important to get the right pair fitted. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Chris. He asked what I was looking for and when I mentioned overpronation he knew exactly what I was talking about. I've been to other shoe stores where they have no clue about pronation, but Chris was knowledgeable about what someone like me would need. Unlike many salespeople, he didn't try to push the newest and most expensive pair on me. He offered me a pair of new Adidas ClimateCools based on what j was looking for. They were nice, but were a bit too tight near the front so I passed. He then suggested I go to Foot Locker for a pair of Asics that I was actually looking for. He could've easily done the hard sell, but instead he put the customer first and provided the sort of advice that most salespeople refuse if it costs then a sale. I may not have bought a pair today, but I will definitely be coming back in the future.
