We went inside and were immediately greeted by a very helpful and knowledgeable associate who had me in some Hoka Bondi 9s that fit my brace within 5 min. I was out the door in 10. Great service. Wow, this place is so up and down you can't tell what is going to happen. One time all is good and salespeople are attentive and then this experience comes back. They have good shoes and products but I think I will order on line before i go back. My wife and I went into look at some very expensive shoes and the salesperson told my wife he would go look in the back and when she turned he walked over to the cash register and stood there for 15 mins looking on his phone and talking to other salepeople who were also ignoring custoners. Not a huge Yelp reviewer, but wanted to give props to Tarik and the team at Foot Tech. I am a fairly avid, forty-something year-old runner in need of new sneaks to replace my aging Nike trail kit; I've done the specialty running shoe store thing before (Luke's Locker, etc.), but typically just "wing it" and buy something off the rack. I've had reasonably good results doing just that, but -- with age -- have had a few niggling issues (plantar fasciitis) crop up that hamper my sweaty efforts. And so, I thought I would give Foot Tech a try in the hopes of getting more professional guidance. On that score, consider my trip today (and experience) a huge WIN. Tarik has an absolutely encyclopedic knowledge about of lot of things -- the turbulent Greek economy; tourism in Turkey; the finer nuances of lower extremity anatomy; Strava braggadocio, etc. -- but is, of course, particularly adept at talking a super knowledgeable shoe game. Ended up with a pair of understated black Hokas and very pleased with the experience. I will be back... and would highly suggest that any Lubbockite -- runner, weekend warrior, or whatever -- give the guys and girls at Foot Tech a try. I was lucky enough to get Sam as my sales associate on my first time in the store. He spent a great amount of time with me. He evaluated the way that I walk, sized both feet properly and chatted as well. I walked out in a highly cushioned Hoka shoe that I love and have worn for two weeks. I went into foot tech needing some new running shoes. I have a history of issues with my feet and had been told by several people that foot tech was THE place to go if I wanted to find a friendly experience and quality shoes that would address my issues. The experience with the staff was less than friendly. The first time I went in the person who helped me barely asked me any questions about what I was wanting before bringing shoes out for my to try on, and then only showed me two options of shoes. When I asked for different color options he simply said they "didn't have any". I left with a pair I didn't love and thought about it for a few days before going back in to exchange them because I wasn't about to spend $150+ on a pair of shoes I did not like. When I went back in the second time a different employee helped me, but again, the employee was not very nice which just made me feel rushed and uncomfortable and didn't really talk me through my options on shoes. I had a gift card, so I didn't really have an option to shop elsewhere, so after doing my own research I was able to find a pair of shoes I liked that they actually had in stock. I wish it had been a better experience, I've heard lots of great things! Maybe just don't get gift cards if you want to have options on colors and styles. read more

Went into foot tech to "window shop", I was greeted by two different people when walking in and asked if I needed help. I just browsed and noticed they had a %50 off table with lots of shoes. I originally went in to LOOK and try on the Hoka One Ones and they happened to be on the discounted rack. I could not pass up %50 off of a $150 shoe so I bought them. The guy who helped me was really nice and actually thought the bigger size was a better fit, I agreed and took them. I live in Midland and when I got back home the shoe felt way too big, I was so upset because their ticket says "no returns or exchanges on discounted items". I figured I'd call and ask anyway. They did not have a problem with me trading sizes at all and held the shoe for two days until I could get back to Lubbock to exchange them. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've had in a long time. read more

I can't say enough great things about Foot Tech. I'm currently training for a half marathon and I needed a shoe that offered more support than my free runs. My feet are wide and one is bigger than the other. I came in after my run, which is the best time to get measured, and talked to Robin. She was really helpful. She watched me walk and measured my feet. Then she asked me how my feet felt during my runs. She grabbed over 5 different pairs of shoes for me to try and watched me walk in all of them. She also told me to run outside to make sure they were a good fit. She was really patient and I Finally settled on a shoe that I liked. What makes it even better is the price! As soon as I left the store I checked online to see if the same shoe would be cheaper. It was the exact same price as it would be online at other stores. I couldn't believe it. First, let me say I don't usually spend $100 or more on shoes. I work in the hospital and my feet kill me after 12 hours and 13+ miles a day. I was shopping for shoes at a big name bargain shoe store and ran into a nurse that recommended foot tech but told me it would cost me for the quality shoes they provide. I had absolutely no idea the quality of customer service I was about to experience! I went in and they did an analysis and measurement of my feet and recommended shoes to me. They felt pretty good in the store and I bought them. About 10 shifts later my feet were killing me every minute of the day. I decided I would put my old shoes back on and see if that helped. Well it did, so I was very upset that I had spent 130 dollars on shoes that hurt me. I decided to just call and ask if I brought them back if I could get partial credit and buy a different pair. The lady on the phone said "No! Just bring them back in and we will exchange them for what you need." I was pleasantly surprised that they would take back worn shoes and give me full credit for them after probably a month. I went in today and showed them my old shoes and they got me some Brooks that I love! They even had to special order the color I wanted because they were out of that particular color in my size. The real surprise is that they even offered to let me continue to wear the other shoes until the Brooks came in!!!! I politely declined but was impressed! I will never buy work shoes anywhere else ever again! The customer service at this place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! read more

Foot Tech was great. I had needed some new shoes for a while and I had been having foot and joint pains for a good year or so. I went to a clinic and was diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis, which basically means that the tendons in my feet were swollen. I walked in and was immediately assisted by one of their employees, Brooke. She helped me identify what I needed, with the knowledge that she gained from the ones that trained her, which are the four doctors which own Foot Tech. I was surprised when she was able to analyze my condition by watching the way that I walked and by feeling my Achilles tendons. She measured my feet and asked what kind of use I might have for shoes, e.g., running or jogging. She then found some shoes that both had supports for my feet, but weren't too extreme, as I am flat-footed and she was concerned that too much support would be unusual to me and in turn, uncomfortable to me. When thinking about what shoes and/or insole combinations would be best, she even thought about the cost factor--additionally, she even asked me if I liked the way that certain shoes looked. She helped me try on the shoes--basically doing most of the work, which I thought was really professional--and she let me walk in them to see how they would feel. She was really patient and didn't rush me at all and was very clear in explaining how the shoes should feel. After trying on a couple different shoes, I decided which one that I thought would fit me best and she promptly rang me up for them at the counter, boxing my old shoes and handing me the box in a bag. She was also very clear in explaining that if the shoes didn't work out or if I had continued issues or pains, that I could contact the store or return for more assistance. I was done in a around half an hour max, which was much faster than I had expected. I wish that all shoe stores would be this helpful. I want to say "Thank You" to Brooke and I would definitely recommend Foot Tech to anyone with back or joint problems or those people out there who just need new shoes. read more
