It was such a gorgeous, dry late Sunday morning. For parents with babies and young children in strollers (and for other "pet parents" using strollers) I have a beagle who has difficulty walking. She needs a stroller so I have brought her many times with it.... I don't have difficulty on the walking paths or in the parking lot... it's very easy for me which is so nice. It means I can bring both dogs with me alone at times (today was a super bonus because my husband walked our other pup). As far as wheelchair accessibility, I need to check it out more carefully next time. Having spent only a small amount of time in a wheelchair a few decades ago - I can relate to how difficult it can be to get around. I am pretty sure it's very easily accessible. I will check everything when I go back... The restrooms are pretty clean most of the time. It's nice that they are there!! There are many benches throughout the park. It's hard not to be "in the moment" and "mindful" while at this park. There's so much beauty. Today we saw many ducks swimming. And the sunlight against the bright blue sky...... Didn't want to leave!!

Find Trexler's cabin at one of the trail forks, and head up the hill to find a monument to the man himself. There are no picnic tables around but there are ample benches for resting and taking in the sights, and there is a public bathroom near the parking lot.

Oh... don't forget your own soap, too! The bathrooms often have a variety of friendly spiders and flies, but no soap. Your kid will emerge from the "caged playground" exhausted, sweaty (unless it's winter when there is no heat), and really dirty. Perfect for a pre or teenaged boy, but gross and sometimes frigid for the moms and dads. :) Have fun!

This built my son's confidence and got him heading in the right direction!!! We are all happy with the experience. Sure there are glitzy skate parks out there all shined up and what not. But I tell you this place is down to earth and the folks know What they are doing. It is not by accident that many kids choose to hang out here and seems like a good environment. Maple shade skate park stands in the shade of nothing there is no shade here so know that going in…read moreall the maples are over to the left satellite photos indicated it would be huge and awesome upon arrival it is way smaller than pictured and way less awesome there's plenty to do here though there are 2.5' ledges there is a teeny tiny pyramid there is a staircase/step up thing, banks, vert walls, Jerome and the deep side there's a whole other deep side that's like super Verty and super fast concretes pretty good it's not great but it's fine it's about the same as Frederick as far as jankyness goes. There is nothing to do here for a beginner except maybe play with this tiny pyramid and try to learn how to skate transition, The shallow concrete is pretty Jenky it's far jankier than the deep end and the jankyness slows you down a lot, so keep that in mind. The roll in just throws you into the wall unless you go in sideways like a surfer or something and it's pretty sketch doing that, I'd say it's great for round wall and vert riders the vert side is just barely 8' so it's a great entry point for the vert curious to get your feet wet, bring softer wheels as the rough pavement isn't letting you slide out super easy which is a plus for some and a minus for others.

Facility has a bad odor…read more The owner took my daughter's skates to modify them because she claimed they would damage their floor. She informed us it would only take a matter of minutes. She proceeded to process the entire line which had no end in sight. After 15 minutes of waiting, she still did not return the skates. When I questioned it, she became quite curt. She said that I should have come on a day that wasn't so busy. It was very off putting. She then said that I didn't have to stay and she would give my money back. When I sorted out my husband for assistance and told him that our daughter's skates were not returned and of the owner's behavior, she apologized and gave me four vouchers. It was my daughter's birthday and her approach really soured things.

The DJ called her out multiple times and played games. It was one of the best parties she ever had and we've had parties all over the Lehigh Valley. It was very nostalgic and fun for the adults too. Staff serving pizza and drinks was very attentive too. The only thing that kinda sucked was we couldn't set up until 10 min prior so guests were arriving and we were still setting up. But they do give you 3 hours vs 2 hours at other venues, like SkyZone. We arrived a good 40 minutes early and had to wait with our guests. They did take my cake but wouldn't take the balloons and the wind gusts blew a couple away and actually killed the weight off another. We had to keep a car door open from the cookie favors melting. Skate staff reminded me that it is in the contract -- no setting up until 10 min prior. I would have liked at least 20 minutes w/o other guests inside but it is what it is. Other than that, everything was just fine. I emailed about the party prior and skate staff responded fast and we went down and paid the deposit. All was good! :)

It has nice bridges, slides and labyrinths for various ages. We liked the swings too. There's a dedicated 2-5 yrs play area. It's surrounded by fence for kids safety. CONS: The visual appeal is not well maintained. Paint is faded and chipping away. Many tiles cracked or missing. Sand boxes are nearly empty. Playground needs some face lift. Overall, my daughter enjoyed it
