One of the people I did not know said the kid is a continuous problem. I am not sure how to make a formal complaint since I went to the snack bar spoke to 3 women to inform them and all I was told was to go to the guy standing in the rink which the incident occurred in front of. This also happened right in front of where the parents sit to watch their kids and everyone sitting there had saw it too. I was never told to write a "formal complaint" or asked if I wanted to do so. Maybe posting a sign or having employees informed of what to do when a complaint is made so that it is "formal complaint" would be a good suggestion.

We chose the blue course, and it had lots of cool, challenging obstacles, including sand and rock traps, and water traps too! It was late summer, so the leaves were beginning to fall, but they must use a leaf blower often because the greens only had a few tiny leaves here and there which didn't interfere at all. We had no problem getting our disabled daughter through the course in her large jogger stroller. There was a lot of mature shade trees, and even colored, shade banners strategically placed offering even more shade. The balls float, and they have special tools placed near each water trap to retrieve the balls. They have ice cream and more tables nearby which we thoroughly enjoyed afterwards.

We visited on a Friday afternoon during the school year and it was the perfect day for it, not crowded at all, staff was warm and attentive everywhere you turned, and there was just so much to explore across two floors. As a homeschool mom, I am always on the lookout for places where kids are learning without even realizing it and this delivered completely. My little ones were engaged the entire time, bouncing between exhibits and coming back to do things on repeat. The water table on the second floor was a huge hit (dam building = instant obsession), the crawl-through body exhibit had them giggling the whole way through, and the immersive hall with the giant projector and the orchestra activity where they put their faces into the performers? They talked about that the whole ride home. We timed our visit to catch the 3 o'clock otter feeding and training, definitely worth planning around. Maybe 30 people gathered and it was totally manageable and really sweet to watch. What surprised me most was how engaged I was as an adult. I was genuinely learning things alongside my kids, which is not always the case at these types of places. It felt appropriate and interesting for every age in our group. A few things to know before you go: follow the directions on their website for the specific parking garage , it's about a 5-minute walk and was only $5 for us. Strollers and wagons are totally doable with elevators throughout. They also have a café if you want to make a full day of it, and rotating special exhibits (always check the website ahead of time so you know what's on and whether it fits your crew). We stayed about two and a half hours and left happy. Already thinking about when we're coming back.

I have seen every special exhibit and let me tell ya - not worth any extra fee, especially what they charge. But with that said the Da Vinci center is only really worth it for the "special exhibit". I wavered between 3 and 4 stars on this one. How you feel about Blue Mountain depends largely on…read morewhat kind of a skier/snowboarder you are. If you're an absolute beginner, it isn't a bad introduction to the world of snow sports. It's a small "mountain" and therefore very beginner friendly. They have a completely closed off area on one side that is entirely for beginners with conveyor lifts, very gentle and short slopes, and a short chairlift. There are also two green trails on the mountain designated as "slow skiing areas," though they might want to police them better as there were still several daredevils blasting by us. The whole process for rentals and lessons is a well-oiled machine and easy to navigate. My 11-year-old son had never been skiing or snowboarding before and was anxious to try. So this seemed like a logical spot to bring him. I had been here plenty of times as a kid in the 90's, but this was my first time back in decades. We came on a Sunday in March and arrived at 7:30. It was already crowded with cars and people at that point but we still got a good parking spot and picking up rental equipment was no problem. My son enjoyed his snowboarding lesson and was loving how quickly he was learning. I bought a lift pass for me + helmet rental, and a beginner package for him (this included snowboard/helmet rental, one hour lesson, and restricted lift ticket). All together this was $293, which seems wildly overpriced for the mountain we were on, especially considering my son was stuck to the beginner area all day unless we upgraded his lift ticket. But I guess this price is common in the skiing industry these days, and I hate to think what the big mountains out west are charging. If you're an experienced skier/snowboarder and live close by, it's probably not a bad place to get in a quick fix. As an experienced skier myself, it was a pleasant day on the slopes, but got a little boring after awhile. If I'm going to pay an arm and a leg, fight hordes of people all day, and drive for a few hours to get there, I'd rather do so on a bigger and more challenging mountain.
