She proceeded to process the entire line which had no end in sight. After 15 minutes of waiting, she still did not return the skates. When I questioned it, she became quite curt. She said that I should have come on a day that wasn't so busy. It was very off putting. She then said that I didn't have to stay and she would give my money back. When I sorted out my husband for assistance and told him that our daughter's skates were not returned and of the owner's behavior, she apologized and gave me four vouchers. It was my daughter's birthday and her approach really soured things.

I saw the bad reviews so figured I'd chime in. I hosted a birthday party for my 13-year-old…read moredaughter last weekend and she had a wonderful time once everything got started. The DJ called her out multiple times and played games. It was one of the best parties she ever had and we've had parties all over the Lehigh Valley. It was very nostalgic and fun for the adults too. Staff serving pizza and drinks was very attentive too. The only thing that kinda sucked was we couldn't set up until 10 min prior so guests were arriving and we were still setting up. But they do give you 3 hours vs 2 hours at other venues, like SkyZone. We arrived a good 40 minutes early and had to wait with our guests. They did take my cake but wouldn't take the balloons and the wind gusts blew a couple away and actually killed the weight off another. We had to keep a car door open from the cookie favors melting. Skate staff reminded me that it is in the contract -- no setting up until 10 min prior. I would have liked at least 20 minutes w/o other guests inside but it is what it is. Other than that, everything was just fine. I emailed about the party prior and skate staff responded fast and we went down and paid the deposit. All was good! :)

I much prefer the ice and building at the Steel Ice Center because it is one building and not two separate ones like the Rink in Whitehall. Reminds me of the rinks we used to play at as kids where you were just happy to find a place with ice and boards. I don't think there is glass between the team benches and the penalty area, which isn't a big deal, but just a small footnote. Son went to take ice skating lessons there. Was told we could help them on the ice, but they wouldn't let us on. There were so many kids in the group and nobody was there to help with skates so I was fitting kids for parents. They are owned by a company that owns a few rinks and this one is losing big time to the Ice Center
