I haven't been to a Sizzler in almost ten years so while visiting friends and hearing there was one nearby we all excitedly headed over with 4 kids in tow. Even with a strict diet being followed by a couple of us, and two picky teens everyone found something they were happy with. (And we were all excited for endless cheese toast!) Our server, Zane, was absolutely amazing. He checked up on us often but not the point of being annoying, we said keep the cheese toast coming and he absolutely did, was friendly, had a smile on his face the entire time and even brought out a special surprise for our birthday girl. The food was good, sad they only cheese one side of the bread now but Zane made the trip excellent. He handled a crazy party of 8 with a smile and a laugh and we will definitely be back. This restaurant reminds me of a chain back in the midwest called Western Sizzlin. You walk in, order your entrees, pay and go sit down or hit up the salad bar or side bar. The prices are about average. You can get endless shrimp for about $15. I'm not a fan of their shrimp, though, because it's really greasy - more so than normal. The salad bar is big and includes anything you could want on a salad as well as fruit. The side bar usually has about eight items or so. It usually has fried chicken wings, potatoes, green beans, tortilla chips & cheese, tacos and spaghetti. None of this stuff is very good though. The soups are generally decent. They have clam chowder, if you're into that. The service is usually very good. I would recommend this place. read more

Clean restaurant with a courteous and friendly staff, the salad bar was well stocked but the desert bar was limited to only two deserts. I ordered a chopped steak cooked medium for lunch, the meat came cooked very well done I sent it back and the second one was cooked to my perfection. This is one of my families favorite places. The food was amazing and the service was great. I have the stake and lobster and it was cooked perfectly. I also tried the tri tip sliders. very clean place.. the cashier was helpful in helping with our order.. the server came, gave us our orders then that was it.. we ordered medium well steaks which were over cooked.. since we were hungry so we didnt bother complaining.. server wasnt around anyways so i couldnt tell her the cook at a steak house doesnt know how to cook a steak.. restaurant wasnt even jam packed so no excuse on the steaks or the servers lack of service.. the mashed potatoes were too salty so didnt bother eating em.. chicken tenders on the other hand were delicious which deserved a star.. im pretty full so ill give another star for that.. over all 2 stars.. not coming back to this sizzler again.. Just a suggestion, maybe put French fries in a separate container OTHER than with a medium rare steak that let the juices completely soak the fries by the time you get home with everything. I know we're all learning from the many different takeout experiences, but even just wrapping them up in foil might have helped. Otherwise, you have a very orderly and organized curbside process which was appreciated. Oh, and maybe a lot less salt on your baked potatoes. Looked like they're rolled in chunky crystals of sea salt (?). Even for a salt lover, it was way too much. Had to really try to scrape the potato off the skin so as not to get a mouthful of salt. This is the best Sizzler. The food is excellent (best I've had at any Sizzler in my life). The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and remodeled (best looking Sizzler I've been to). The prices are reasonable. I had a 8oz Sirloin that was grilled and seasoned very well. I'm thrilled that they still have their parmesan cheese bread. I binged on their awesome salad bar (it's not just salads - even the bread pudding and banana cream deserts were so awesome and at the perfect temperature). Even the strawberries were ripe. We ordered the turkey dinner for 6 with all the trimmings and picked it up on Thanksgiving day. It was well worth the money. Everything was put in containers that we were able to put in the oven for about 45 minutes. Besides sliced white meat which sat atop the stuffing, there were mashed potatoes, yams with a crumble top, green beans with slivered almonds, dinner rolls and gravy. We added jellied cranberry sauce and voila we had a great tasting and filling turkey dinner. There were plenty of leftovers which we had tonight. I would recommend this dinner to anyone. Yes, we visited a chain! They receive 5 stars for their genre. We didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. My lobster and steak were cooked perfectly, and their baked potato was incredibly creamy. Some cools things on the salad bar such as a jicama and mango salad and a mint kale salad. The rolls are really delish. I particularly liked that their music was actually background music since most places these days blast the music and you can hardly hear each other. Unpatriotic restaurant, all service members stay away. Their military discount is a joke, 5% it used to be 10% last year. They like to put flags up everywhere though as if they're patriotic. Your empty drinks will sit at the end of the table as the waitress just walks by multiple times. Don't get unlimited shrimp because you will only get the initial plate of shrimp. I had to ask 3 times to get my second plate of shrimp even though I paid for unlimited! Extremely short staffed, 1 waitress for 15 tables. The food is ok for a restaurant chain but they're service is pathetic. The manager walks around but fails to do or fix anything. Not gonna come here anymore.... We went to your restaurant with a party of 8 Sunday afternoon for a Birthday celebration. Not a happy experience. I am a senior and ordered a sirloin, med well with a baked potato and salad bar. There was a mix-up with my order and never received my steak or potato and still hadn't received it while having dessert. I asked for a refund and wasn't treated too pleasantly. The guy at the registers brought back a refund without saying sorry. Just told me to sign and let me know how much money I got back. So not a happy camper. Will not be going back. read more

Warning! Do Not Eat Here! I took my family to eat here. At first I was a little taken aback by the buffet style set-up that the restaurant has but thought that the atmosphere was ok and was willing to give it a try. After I took one bite of the steak that I ordered, I found a live, crawling maggot in my food. Pretty horrible right? It gets worse. When I told the manager about it he was closed mouthed (didn't say anything) so I asked that we receive a refund for our dinner because we decided to leave (none of the other family members ate). The manager did not offer an apology and argued with us about refunding the food that we didn't eat. When he did give us our money back, he still charged us for the drinks! I love Sizzler Steakhouses! Especially the one that is in Oceanside and the other one in Temecula. They have been totally updated and remodeled. I really wish the one on Aero Drive would step up to the plate and do the same! They are owned by different people, so I don't expect that to happen anytime soon! I am a type 2 diabetic, and I feel really comfortable eating there and being able to order a steak, vegetable, and the salad bar, along with iced tea with lemon. I don't allow myself carbohydrates, so this establishment always accomodates me with the freshest ingredients on the salad bar. Also a shout out to the waiter named Leo. He is in Oceanside. I have never found anyone that is more outgoing and more personable than he is. He had just topped off my iced tea, and I told him that wasn't necessary because I was getting ready to depart back to Poway. He suggested that I take my drink in a 'to go' cup that he provided. So I ordered that AYCE Rib-let with 6oz steak for lunch today. I was seated which was cool the lead waitress offered Cheese Toast and she said the order should be coming out soon. 27 min later where's my food and people after me get their dishes. So I called the phone number asked the employee how long does it take to get an AYCE Rib-let and 6oz steak. He said 15-20 min. So he asked why and I had told him then why have I not been served yet. Right after that I got up and looked if the party of 2 in front of my were served and they were almost finished. Sebastian the supervisor apologized and said it will be out soon. I had asked how long since Medium rare takes less time than a well done. So I got my plate started eating and the lady came out and offered anything. I asked what caused my food to be late. She mentioned the chef made a mistake and said food was ready for another table and it was my dish. So I asked her the table that got me food ordered a 6oz steak and Rib-lets with Sautéed mushrooms and vegetable medley? She said yes, then I questioned her then why does my receipt say 6oz steak and rib-lets and the food in front of me is rib-lets, steak, and shrimp with vegetable medley and mushroom. Were they trying to butter me up??? Silly them I rarely eat shrimp. This is the worst Sizzlers. Murrieta, Escondido, Kearney Mesa, and Corona have way better customer service than this location. NEVER EVER EAT HERE AGAIN. I didn't have a chance to eat AYCE because I had rush to finish most of my food to head to work!!! Thanks A lot sizzlers. Haha you offered food comp I took it!!
